i successfully flashed a recovery "TeamWin" and while trying to installing any rom i have an error in the Verifying partition sizes "step" ...

your are getting error becuase u need to remove the first line from updater script and u will be okay with falshinh
other solution
ok herre is your solution
flash the larger partation bin file for xbsall thread using the lg flash tool........and
b) install any official ics rom on top of it
u have 3 choice
xbsall v8
oprimusrs v6
and darkroom v4

If it's CM10 ROM I think you can open it and remove that line from the updater-script.

i prefer to go with the first solution, but i need details about it where is that file exists ???
it didn't work ... and i noticed that every wipe i do , the final step is "verifying partition sizes" but i gives me success message , but i think that it is not succeeded but only exit so the system thinks that it is success!
hint : what i want is to rollback all changes has done to the phone and getting it back to the original rom developed by LG ...

because the issue here is that i can't go to normal download mode ...
It seems i've stucked with another issue ... i flashed the XBSA404 using lg flash tool but normally failed at 27% ...
but now finally i have Normal download mode again ... 'Chinese i think' (attached) ... anyway I've tried to recover my phone using LG support tool with the recovery option ... but didn't work ... also when trying to update also another error (attached) ... what can i do now ???

Install Last Wpark Bootloader 1.25a And Recovery http://d-h.st/jLz
28brtlarge.rar (you can find it here) http://d-h.st/dxl
Download and extract it..
Take a BACKUP of your InternalSD DATA at your PC
Flash the BIN file with LG FLASHTOOL
Reboot
After it gets flashed PRESS VOLUME DOWN and POWER until the factory reset screen appears.
Factory Reset
After ANDROID starts go into your SETTINGS > STORAGE and ERASE INTERNAL MEMORY and restore your Internal SD Data from your PC
REBOOT to CWM RECOVERY
Install XBSAVR3D.ZIP (You can find it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963847
Reboot (Taken from XBSAL Guide and OptimusR)
Thank you all , it has been fixed , the LG flash tool hasflashed the rom XBSA404 successfully when i go to S/W mode
one more issue ... i'll be very happy if someone can download this file http://uploaded.net/file/4i8rcp80/ and upload it to any other good file sharing . because uploaded.net is very bad one i can't download the file from it ...

Hello everyone, I don't know if I am posting in the right section, if not, please help me in finding the right one.
Can anyone please direct me where I can download the factory ROM for Lenovo model A269i. MtkDT accidentally got deleted with backup of the ROM. Now the phone is stuck on the Lenovo logo when I was trying to root the phone. Sorry for my bad English.

I have booted successfully the phone and installed carliv's recovery but the recovery doesn't open system, data and cache partitions.
Carliv touch recovery
I have been able to port Carliv touch recovery to Lenovo A269i, but can't test it as my phone was soft bricked. recovery can't mount /system. From all the researches I have made, I need factory rom for the phone to be able to recreate the partitions and to test the recovery.
All credits goes to Carliv for this successful porting of recovery to the device. I can't post in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1825722 as I have fewer than 10 posts.

first you'll have to get factory rom for the phone from http://www.needrom.com/mobile/lenovo-a269i/ then flash with sp flash tool to recover your phone. when you revived your phone, i'll try to upload the recovery for you to flash.

I am getting error status 0 when trying to install a cwm zip in this phone. Help needed to get the mount points for ubifs mtk devices
error in carliv's recovery
Well I checked the log for recovery and found out that it boots in recovery with errors. I get the following errors:
can't open /dev/tty0: no such file or directory
.
.
.
w: unable to get recovery.fstab info for /datadata during fstab generation!
w: unable to get recovery.fstab info for /emmc during fstab generation!
w: unable to get recovery.fstab info for /external_sd during fstab generation!
and a bunch of other errors. I have tried to rebuild the recovery several times with same errors
Please Upload the recovery file that is flashable with SP Flasher Tool ... I beg you

Hey I just got this phone...and i wanted to know how to root it..can you please walk me through the procedure of rooting...and possibly if there is any ROM for this phone..i would love to know about it...im an avid flasher and really need root to get work done on such budget phones...will be happy and appreciative of any assistance.!

sorry for late reply, I was very busy.
First of all, you WILL HAVE TO BACKUP your rom with the latest MTKdroid tools (v2.5.3 can backup the phone)
Secondly use framaroot to root your phone.
then use carliv recovery to create a custom recovery.
Again, Do NOT FORGET TO CREATE A BACKUP OF YOUR WORKING FACTORY ROM OR YOU WILL REGRET IT WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG. If mtkdroid tools takes very little time, it may mean that it hasn't backed up your rom.
Well, use google to find the tools mentioned above.
hi i just got my 269i,and i rooted it however i would like to install a custom recovery for functions like NANDroid backup/restore and for flashing custom roms. I have tried rom manager but my phone isn't supported. You said you have a custom recovery installed(carlivs touch recovery). I would like to know how you did this(step by step process) and download links to the recovery image file you used if possible

it bricked when i tried to restore stock firmware(lollipop) 2 days ago.
when i try to restore the stock firmware, rsd does't report any problem, the bootloader neither(also do it through command), but thme smartphone is stucked in bootloader mode...i tried to install custom recoveryes but all of them ( twrp and cwm) report the same problem: cant' mount /cache , can't mount /system
in this way i cannot flash nothing.....i'm without a mobile.....help me please....

You probably are flashing the incorrect firmware or are missing a few steps in the firmware flashing procedure. Often, people forget to flash the sparsechunk.3 file (since the previous versions only had it till .2 )
Follow the following guide, step by step, perfectly, and you'll be fine.
