[Q] Stuck at Bootloader after reboot on CM10.2 - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This has happened to me several times and I am seeing that other people are running into this problem with no fix found.
Everytime I try to install CM10.2 onto my xt926 I can never get past the unlocked bootloader warning screen after a reboot. I can still access CWM which is the recovery I'm using. I have tried clearing cache, data, factory reset, fixing permissions, reflashing the rom. The only way to get a working phone again is to flash stock 4.1.2 using RSD.
Then I remembered seeing an article a while ago saying that their were two versions of an OTA update for Razr HDs because for some reason their were slight differences between some phones, hardware wise.
Could this be the reason for these random phones not accepting CM10.2 installs?
Also if anyone has any ideas to get past this. I read someone had luck toggling bluetooth on and off for some reason but it didn't help me. I'm at a loss here and would love to play with Android 4.3 but I guess its just not in the cards...

ive got the same problem to i finally decided to get rid of safestrap and unlock my phone. now im stuck on stock rom because no roms will work after a reboot. theres two diferent stock 4.1.2 firmware files. one says mr4 the other one says mr2 anyone know the diference?

Not sure. I just use the RazrHD Utility 1.21 for that, its a lot easier. Also I have heard that 10.1 may work for us, just not 10.2 for whatever reason

[q] major screw up. Helpppp!!!

So I originally rooted my S3 using odin and a stock verizon software followed by using ez bootload unlock, ez recovery, and clockwork mod. I used the custom rom cyanogen mod, and eventually continued to update those roms when they rolled out the OTA updates. When the latest update came out on the 18th I noticed an issue with my contacts. Due to this I reverted to the 16th rom, but something went terribly wrong. At this time I tried re-rooting, tried different types of rooting and got my device working along with my contacts back, but it rendered my sim card useless. I tried everything I could find on the internet. I finally covered my tracks and took it to the verizon store. They replace the sim card, but it still didn't work. They replaced my device, and me being dumb I rooted it again. Same original rooting that worked the first time. It worked at first, but then the same issue occurred. I'm not sure what to do, I can't go back to verizon again. They will expect something this time. It makes no sense. The hardware is not an issue, there is some data error somewhere. PLEASE HELP!!!
TLDR; Crazy weird data issue maybe? Whoever can solve this will be the House of Android rooting.

Why don't you try to Odin a pre-rooted Verizon stock can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1984436 to see if it addressed both our your issues?
I just had some major issues with this as well. There is something wrong with the nightly versions of CM 10.1.
Like you - I flashed CM 10.1 12/18 and found that my data was not working. I then searched this forum and found that other users were having the no data issue as well. I decided that I would do the same and flash back to an earlier CM 10 release from December, but the update did not go as expected. Due to going 10.1 to 10 I had to wipe data/cache/dalvik. At this point I got CM 10 reinstalled, but the phone came up with NO cell coverage. I went to System Settings -> About -> Status and found that the phone was no longer registering my cellular network (Verizon) or phone number. My IMEI data was dead.
Luckily in my case I had already made backups of my IMEI data per this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1852255
I restored my IMEI and reflashed CM 10 12/16. Everything is now working as expected. Your issue sounds identical to mine - I just spent half the day fighting with the exact same issue. I definitely learned my lesson about staying so current with the NIGHTLY builds for day-to-day non-dev use. I knew it before, it just never bit me like this.
Anyways, I hope this information helps you somewhat. Good luck!

You most likely lost you imei/min or something, you can check in settings>about phone>status. Easy way to correct it is to flash a older stock ICS image and use the reprovision code. Flash this in odin then type this in the dialer *2767*3855# and that should fix ya back up. Flashing anything carries a risk of dropping your imei but it happens much more on AOSP roms.

Motorola XOOM Z604 32GB IHDT56MT1

Motorola XOOM Z604 32GB IHDT56MT1
Sorry if there was another thread about this, but i looked and didn't find any
Anyway friend of mine flashed some kinda rom he says official 4.1.1 JRO03H, but i'm not sure
anyway as he said after OTA tab is freezing randomly and gives android keyboard error
so i assumed i can unlock/root and flash some custom rom that will resolve the problem
after using AIO tool and unlocking/rooting/flashing various roms problems persists
sometimes tab is crashing during start up (android loading) sometimes just randomly by touching/using absolutely random
using tiamat recovery 3.2.2 and TWRP, it's rock stable in recovery
so i assume it's hardware related
any ideas, cause i'm out of any
p.s. it does have a sim card slot, but judging by FCC code it's wifi only
p.s. i tried to flash stock rom and lock it, still freezing and crashing randomly, first at wifi menu then at internet browser, guess something is really hardware related, possibly memory got corrupted or something like that
p.p.s now i'm not even sure which xoom this one is, is it a wifi only or 3g and maybe it needs some different stock rom? most confusing tab i've seen so far, there is just so many variation of this
thnx in advance

The wifi xoom also has a sim card slot but it does not work( missing the radios).
Can you get into recovery and which one is it (custom CWR or stock)? With the xoom off press power until the moto dual core logo appears then press volume down after 3 seconds. You will see android recovery written on top press volume up. If you still have a custom recovery you can then install 4.1.1 JRO03H again but do a factory wipe (very important to get rid of any possible corruption) before and a cache dalvik cache wipe before.
If you are still having issues you can fastboot the stock honeycomb wifi images and allow the updates to happen automatically but this will wipe all of your data. I can walk you through this.
i did mentioned recovery in my post, otherwise how the hek would i be able to flash it in the first place duhh
i did all that, i even tried stock image 3.01 let it update it all the way up to the 4.1.1 which kept giving me weird android keyboard stopped working error and same random freezes
most stable was honeycomb though, i could stay in the system sometimes longer before touching anything, i even let it on lock screen for an hour or two and wouldn't freeze, in ics and jb it froze on lock screen, sometimes wouldn't even let me pass welcome/choose language
i just don't understand how can it install without any problems and stock/custom recoveries being stable while in OS it's just freezing for no apparent reason, my theory is something wrong with video part of the chipset, then again i simply dunno anymore
i tried several times factory defaults and wiping cache before and after flashing didn't helped
Good luck

[Q] Flashing to stock - phone force closes process com.android.phone, help

Please bare with me since this is the first time having to post for an issue since I usually find an answer on your forums
So here's the situation.
I bought the photon q 4g lte from ebay and it came with the unlocked bootloader.
Needless to say it was with the stock ics and i tried to find a jellybean update because it wasn't taking the ota and ended up going with cyanogen since i had no problems before. However those phones i had before were with sim cards not cdma.
I found out i couldn't update prl or profile manually without having to do something on the pc.
So after searching left and right i found i could use rsl lite (I used 6.1.5) and eventually found the "stock" file from this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095536&highlight=rsd+lite
I did the stock jellybean, got it to go through the process and it booted up with no errors.
However, when it boots into the os it pops up a force close on omadmclient_sprint_dataservice and eventually also on the process com.android.phone.
I tried putting it in airplane mode to see if the service error would go away but it didn't work for the process part crashing.
I tried re-flashing, deleting cache in recovery, doing a data/factory reset in recovery and the one time i was able to do a data factory reset within the settings menu.
I could not find anyone that said they had a rom that worked with sprint and updating prl within the rom, if anyone knows of one let me know and i will flash it through rsd.
Otherwise does anyone have an idea of what could be happening because googling the omadmclient part did not pull up anything specific and pulling up the process issue for other phones has not helped me either.
Was this a hacked GSM phone, or are you using it as CDMA?
I've never heard of people having FC issues after flashing a FXZ from RSD. Which one did you flash? Android 4.1.2 - Sprint US - 9.8.2Q-122_XT897_FFW-5 (No simlock) ?
If you are on stock, you should be able to update the PRL within the ROM.
I was trying to use it with cdma network through sprint. and yeah that was the file i downloaded, had to remove the getvar to get it working but flashed with no errors after doing that.
As for updating the prl i can barely navigate through the phone, there is no home page loading and the process pop comes up often enough that its hard to go through the settings

Sounds like something went wrong mate. Are you already activated on Sprint? I don't know if that would matter, it might.
I would honestly redownload and redo the RSD process.

I originally tried to activate the phone through cyanogen and then when the rep said he couldnt do it because of the lack of prl to update within the rom we just setup the activation back on the old phone/ That phone is working on the network.
I re-downloaded the file just in case and re-flashed but same problem. The only thing i thought of was maybe updating the radio but since its a stock rom it should work out of the gate. whats also weird is i tried turning wifi on but it didnt work either.
Anychange you know of a rom that works with sprint. I dont care if its stock since i would probably root later again.

Which one are you flashing?
Try another perhaps...? I honestly have never heard of this. It sounds like the phone might be damaged, or the RSD process just did not flash correctly.
I guess I should ask, was the phone modified at all for the GSM SIM slot mod? I wonder if having a non-Sprint SIM in is messing with it... That is just a shot in the dark.

so far the only rom i tried was 10.1 cyanogen and the stock rom for jellybean. However for the stock rom it doesnt let me downgrade to ics with rsd 6.1.5 do you think if i downloaded an old version i could downgrade to a lower stock rom?
Also I honestly had not looked for the cdma roms since most of what i saw was troubleshooting related for this phone but i just saw this rom -AOKP 4.2.2 (Android Open Kang Project) (CDMA&GSM) that you created - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293892
I re-rooted and installed that one and it looks great, just wondered how you got sprint to activate the phone or if you had done it before changing the rom? Also how would the prl and profile be updated.
Lastly the wifi wasn't turning on this time either, it did work initially when i got the phone so that has me stumped.

To downgrade to ICS, you need to remove some additional lines. See this post for more information on that.
However, you should be able to update the PRL on either stock ROM.
I think I said this before, but I will say it again. You need to do PRL updates, activate the phone, and get EVERYTHING working on stock BEFORE you flash ANY custom ROM. This is just standard practice - you don't want to put the cart before the horse! Get the phone working, then play with custom ROM's.

[Q] MZ604 won't boot after installing Wingray ROM

I have been running CWM recovery and installing Wingray nightlies on my MZ604 without any problem for more than a year. A couple of days ago I flashed what I think was a partially downloaded ROM. This soft bricked my Xoom (somewhat unsurprisingly). I ended up in a boot loop so I used this method http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/motorola-xoom-development/18743-how-flash-sbf-rsd-method.html to get out of it.
That worked fine leaving me with a stock Xoom running 3.1.
I then unlocked the bootloader and flashed CWM Touch using adb. I then booted into recovery and flashed the universal Xoom root from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242241.
Again, this worked fine so now I had what appeared to be a fully functional Xoom running CWM Touch and 3.1. So far, so good.
The final step was to install a recent ROM so I booted into recovery again, flashed the latest Wingray nighly and the GApps package as I have done on numerous occasions (after doing a factory reset and wiping the cache and the Dalvik cache). This appeared to work just as it has always done but now my Xoom just sits at the M logo and nothing else happens. I can still boot into CWM Touch but my Xoom won't get past the M logo in normal boot.
Since everything seemed to work exactly as I would expect right up to the final boot, I'm somewhat mystified as to what is wrong. Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what to do next?
Now I can actually help you. I saw this a day ago but did not respond yet because I did not test my method.
It's been stated by a few in the eos 4 wingray thread that nightlies 204-205 are TEST builds. Only one person said that but from what everyone else is experiencing this appears to be true. You are not alone mine was bootlooping and never getting past the splash animation either.
You don't need to fix or flash a new recovery. All you have to do is use a lower build such as 203 and you'll be fine. I'm testing some roms right now and they work fine now. I did upgrade to twrp recovery as well.
I'm sorry you went through the whole boot loader process again.
At least it's a simple fix. I'd recommend monitoring the eos4 thread and see when people post about newer builds working. I'm sure 206 will fix everything.
Best of luck.
Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it didn't work. I did get past the M logo and the multicoloured splash screen appeared but it just got stuck there.
I tried going back to 203 and that didn't work. I also tried going way back to 155 (with the appropriate Google apps package) and that didn't work either.
I am starting to wonder if there is something about the way I am flashing these that isn't working. I have done it so many times that I am rather baffled as to what is going on this time but I think I shall try flashing using Odin and see if that gets me any further. It's all rather frustrating as I haven't been able to use my Xoom for days now.
I have now fixed this although I am not absolutely sure whether my diagnosis is correct.
By flashing Wingray 203 and a very old GApps package, I got past the splash screen. The Google setup program then crashed but at least it had booted. I then tried 203 and the second most recent GApps package (dating from January I think) and it worked.
My guess is that there is some weird interaction between the most recent versions of Wingray and the most recent GApps package (and possibly other factors) but at least my Xoom now works.

[Q] Looking for help fixing my mobile data and finding a ROM for my phone version

*What ROM should I get for my phone and will it solve my issue for data? and what am I doing wrong to install roms?*
About two weeks ago I finally got around to rooting my Android Razr Maxx so that I might speed it up since it had been laggy. I was able to root my device with no issues and overclock it to solve this problem. I began to expand to other things rooting would allow me to do and attempted to use a mobile data tweak-er to get a speed increase. At first it seemed to work great until at one point about a week later I restarted my phone and couldn't access my mobile data, I could only get WiFi and the 4G bar is always there with signal but remains grayed out. I started looking around for info and eventually asked two friends of mine who both noticed I had no VPNs listed in my phone and said that was why,I don't know how this could of occurred but both told me I could fix it by getting a new custom Rom if I didn't want to do a factory rest. If this is true I would appreciate it if someone could help me find a ROM that works for my phone. I'm currently using the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. stock version 4.1.2 system version 98.72.165.XT912 I have Safestrap 3.11 installed already and followed numerous videos trying to get a new ROM to work, so far I have tried Wizzed Bean Jelly Wiz and Eclipse but all 3 give me a boot loop when I try to get them working and I always have to revert back to to my stock Rom after my attempts. I'm guessing there was an incompatibility I wasn't aware of in all 3 cases.
Any help with any of this would be most appreciated and I apologize ahead of time as I may be ignorant to some things involving this question
