[Q] Problem Rooting Droid Razr M with motochopper - General Questions and Answers

Hello!
I am the owner of a Droid Razr M on verizon and for awhile i was rooted on android 4.1.1 and have been constantly avoiding the update screen by selecting download later, well finally this morning i accidentally hit update and i am now on stock unrooted 4.1.2, i tried following the steps from
this thread using the motochopper root tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2227938
and it didn't work. i was greeted with this error message
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",

}
I'm typically pretty computer literate as i'm A+ certified and testout PC Pro certified but i'm stumped.
if i can provide any more information please let me know what you need to help me get this figured out

Need help!!

I installed framaroot(latest) version on my device.My device is listed as compatible but when I open framaroot it says this

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
What should I do? Is there any other one-click app to root/unroot my device without computer and without the risk of being bricked? if there is any then please list it and give me a step by step tutorial of using it to root

It means your device cannot be rooted by this app. You have to go the official way

I know that....but what's the official way?

Rooting
First of all there will never be a official way for rooting and the word official from the above thread means find your device on the forum and search for the post about how to root.
Risk factor remains but if instructions are followed properly there will be no problems
Rooting without computer is not supported by all devices. It depends on procedures available to root the device you are using.
Well starting 3 threads for a simple question isn't gonna get you anywhere. Seriously JUST READ more before spamming this section.
Anyway I already replied to your question in your other thread.

Secondary Update

I'm on 4.4.4, rooted and ruining great. Tonight I have another update trying to push to my phone. Anyone know what this one could be? I'm betting root kill.

There's still a workaround to root actually. I'm not sure what it does, but I'm about to install it now.

Let me know how it goes. I just want the update reminder to go away.
I got the update. It's NI2. Didn't root. Still stock. All I can say is VPN is still broken. So ridiculous.
Very suspicious saying the already in use 4.4.4 allows use of advanced calling 1.0 seems like verizon forgot to kill root and is making another attempt
@open1your1eyes0
what do you think? can we update and do the old kernel trick?

ROOTRoot is a piece of cake. All you have to do is Download "Framaroot" from here
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276
and choose "Barahir" from there.

After that you have to restart your phone and Voila! Your phone is rooted!
Custom Rom porting
Ok, Custom rom porting is a bit harder. But luckily there is a guide written by Xtreme Ornob. All you have to had is Notepad ++
HTML:
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.6.9.html
and 7-Zip.

Tutorial is a little complicated but i think you can handle that. It is in attachment you can download it there. I can upload my MIUI here if someone needs.
I can add more if someone needs...

Sorry. The thread is already a year old and my phone has been broken for a long time already. When it broke I cleaned my hard drive for all of its files. So I don't have it anymore. My apologizes.
No problem, thanks for your efforts!

Xposed Installer won't install?

I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro (AT&T version - SM-P907A) & I've been trying to install xposed framework, but it won't work. It doesn't give me any error message, it just says "app not installed". I'm no stranger to rooting, but this is the first time I've ever had to post a question on the xda developers site. Usually I can find what I'm looking for already, but not this time :crying:
I don't know if I'll be able to post a screenshot of what happens as I've just barely registered, but I'm gonna try. I also have a rooted Motorola Droid 4 and I rooted & installed CM12 on an old Kindle Fire HD as well. (However, that's now been sold...) Anyways, I tried installing Xposed Installer on my Motorola, and it worked, so I'm thinking the problem is with my note pro, but any help on how to fix it would be awesome
Thank you!!

You know what , the quickest method would be to changet rom and install the rom with xposed already installed by the way use titanium backup for making backups if you fear data loss
