Hate to say it but most likely a hardware issue.
You can RUU to confirm. If it's still occuring after RUU, it's definately the Digitizer failing. Thought I am already fairly certain that it is the digitizer failing.

I dont sure if it is a hardware issue. EVERYTHING is great when i didnt have this Problem. I think this is about touchscreen's firmware or RUU.

HIGHLY doubtfull.
Like I said, run an RUU for your carrier, if it works after then good. If not, it's hardware 100% sure.
An RUU will return ALL software to stock including any and all firmwares.

Go to the phone dialer then enter *#*#3424#*#* then MORE and line test with no time. Try to draw on the screen... If you do not get anything on that part the digi is damaged... This just happened to me. I'm not sure if I should order another screen because I already replaced my screen 2 months ago. I'm thinking to get a new phone. Hope this help!

Did you RUU back already? Mine was like that too... Working in the morning and it stopped in the afternoon. I had the phone in my pocket the whole day while I was doing the lawn... Maybe too much heat broke it. Try RUU back to check if that works. If not you can find the screen set (lcd and digitalizer) for 55$+
This is mine... What I do I have screen rotation enable and when I cannot tap on something I rotate the screen.

Lock screen lag

Hi,
I'm on stock rom an I experience the lag every time I pull the ring to unlock, it usually takes me 2-3 times of pulling to unlock the screen.
Is there a fix for that?
Thanks
I thought I was the only one with that issue, I even sent it in for repair to HTC for it. I gave CM7 running on my device now, and it still does it. Have to touch the screen like 3 times before it works accurately.

I sent it in for repair and I got it back. Seemed to not do it as much, but then I unlocked the bootloader and installed cm7. Yesterday was 98 outside and it was almost impossible to unlock the phone. It seems the hot weather made it worse.

I noticed that if you restart the phone it works wonders. This is on stock ROM. Facebook for some reason is taking up more than 30 of the 150 mb available, and with a couple of other things installed, when more programs are running, it is very laggy. Not a great solution, but it works (at least for the stock ROM on this phone)

S-Off breaking Vibration?

Hey Guys, I finally got my Sensation back from repair, of course its completely stock now. I sent it to repair because Vibration didn't worked anymore. I thought it could be possibly got cracked by myself applying s-off with junoptobear (i don't have any idea if its correctly written). Do you have any experience with that?

Edit: My Sensation is a Vodafone Germany branded Device with ICS (4.0.3)
different roms have different settings for the vibration feedback, but if your on stock then maybe your phone is still broken? or it works fine now? also make sure haptic / vibrate feedback in settings is checked.
I think you got me wrong, it got repaired and its working now but I don't know how it broke. There are 2 reasons I could think of why vibration broke, the first one is that datrepair (german HTC repair partner) ****ed up the vibration while repairing the cracked screen on my device before it was rooted or myself applying s-off. I don't know if it worked before because I didn't really used the phone before.

I suspect it was the screen repair that caused the issue. I recently went through juopunutbear to S-OFF my replacement/replacement phone. I can't see how that process would have screwed it up.
No. S-off did not break your vibration.

Vibration and haptic feedback is coded in kernel afaik.. And soff process don't touch that.. In fact soff only modifies bootloader and some flags to get permanent soff

I thought it could've broken the hardware (the wire-trick). I did it like described on one of the pins and the sd casing (I'd say I did nothing wrong because it was s-off after that). So my exact question should be: Could the wire trick possibly damage the vibration motor? I'm sorry that I was not that precise.

the wire trick technically does grounding on that pin ..which takes the phone to download mode for some time after first tap and then back to normal with the next tap..thats all ..i dont see any way that can dmage the vibration motor ...and afaik i havent seen any facing this issue after SOFF
Thats what I wanted to know, thank you, I'll s-off my device again with no fear.

I can confirm 100% that after screen change motor stop work in HTC Sensation. Maybe different part revision, wich i doubt is the case cuz replacement part is working fine and picture is perfect.
What is funny, i try fix this vibration problem after screen change for a few days now, replaced with new on PCB at the end just to see that it isnt workin again
By accident, when i got call i drop phone on table, maby 5cm height drop, and vibration start working for few sec then stop again, and it always go on if i hit phone at time when it should be working.
Still havent found solution to this.

HELP!!!!!

my one x started going crazy yesterday, pressing its own buttons and what not. i rebooted and it stopped. now today its doing it again and it wont stop no matter what. i tried nandroid, factory resetting. can i use kennethpenns stock 1.85 update tool to go back stock in case i have to send it in? how does that work? does anyone have any advice?
is it the capacitive buttons? do you have a really tight case on the phone by any chance?
no gunny, phones naked and has never been dropped or seen water... havent really flashed anything in the last 5-6 days... its throughout the system... even happens in twrp, no matter what rom im using.... when i get home ill try to get an official update and see what happens... but i did notice its mainly in one spot, mainly middle right of the screen... example would be in the calculator app in portrait, it keeps pressing the number 6
Weird. Hope you get an easy fix.

Maybe it doesn't get any easier than this, it felt hot so I turned my CPU freq wayyyy down... Started working right. Now I have it at normal levelsvand its fine? What the hell? Its the first hiccup this phone ever had... Certainly is weird.. wanted to add also, tried to flash roms I had, it kept saying failed.... Would it be a good idea to save my pics on computer and completely erase the sdcard?

Were you using a ROM that was OC'd, or did you have your phone overclocked on an unusually high level?
No bro... Running h8's CM10... Minimum 384, Max 1512 on demand... I tell you what though, I am at work (welder) and in south Louisiana it was 92° and 85% humidity lol. best way is to relock and ruu
and use stock for a while see if it happens again..
if so...go exchange lol
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
That's what I'm looking to do... but Im Trying to read up on relocking before I try first.. never done it yet and I don't know anything about adb and fast boot, much less to ruu. But what's the odds of art or HTC rejecting me because of the boot loader stating "relocked"? Or was this fixed? And also what's the odds of rerooting? Should be good as long as I ruu 1.85 I believe.. that's what I was on when I rooted
Once you unlocked you can always unlock again. I wrote a adb primer. It's a sticky in general.

I had this problem. It turned out to be the battery (I bought an Anker), but I managed to fix it by putting a piece of paper between the phone and the battery so it gets pushed against the connectors.
ok. ill try to put paper and see if it works. i presume its battery since i allready flashed another kernel

I just meant that I've been out of the flashing scene for about a year until recently and this phone has a different method, plus the fact that it took me 2 days to get everything backed up, set back up how I like, etc. I've lost my nerve I guess. I used to be a serial flasher of roms back in the Eris days. New rom that nobody's tried yet? Sure thing. These days I'm even hesitant to flash something if it's tried and true and nobody is seeing any problems. Plus the fact that my hardware is messed up. (I dropped it in water twice by accident and the screen also broke in a separate incident)
