My proximity sensor got damaged now I want to disable it
I figure out that explorer proximity sensor name is cm3602
I found a file named cm3602 in /dev now if I delete this file will it disable my proximity sensor?
Or any other method to disable it?

My droid 1 has a magnetic sensor which is used as a compass, car dock auto enable and alarm clock auto enabler. Does the sensation come with this?
Most likely. It has the compass feature that could be used in Maps. I don't see why it wouldn't.

If you're asking if it has a magnetometer, then yes, it does.

How I can deactivate the proximity sensor. Because it's broken on my XT925 and I can't Hang off. I know there is some apps to do that but I think there is some lines in the build.prop to desactivate directly.

My proximity sensor appears broken so it always is detecting "covered". This causes the screen to always go off when making a call.
Is there any way to disable the sensor and/or the call screen obeying the sensor?
I'm using CyanogenMod 10.1.2 on a Sprint Nexus S 4G.
Note that I've tried using Hardware Disabler to disable the gp2a driver (which should correspond to the sensor). Sadly doing that just causes the device to reboot,

The sensor of the my nexus 5 is broken and when i use apps for verify the proximity sensor they says 0.0 cm . How i can disable the proximity Sensor(my nexus 5 is rooted and i have a C- ROM with 5.0) ?
use search button, there are at least 5 threads with proximity sensor broken in lollipop. There is a bug with google, please vote for it to get fixed.
Hello everyone.
I use M8Sx Single SIM Europe variant.
I changed my up and bottom covers of front, and my proximity sensor doesn't work.
It works after I use Rezound Proximity Sensor Calibrator app or some proximity sensor detection app, but after a reboot, I have to reopen the app and calibrate it again.
Is there a solution for this?
