No sunds - HTC Sensation

Hi guys,
A question to you:
- I have installed customised Rom and I believe I missed the HTC Sounds
or the developer removed it as a part of "weight loss diet".
Unfortunately, now I cannot choose reminder sound because this function
does not exist. Every time reminded pop's up I have the default short
ringer sound which is misleading because it sounds like someone will be
calling me.
Is there a package that I can install now to have the sounds ?
I would prefer to avoid reinstalling system/Rom again if possible...
and as mentioned - it might not be included. I have installed customised

Unfrotunately, now I cannot choose reminder sound because this function does not exist.

Hi,
Unzip your last ROM (the one with the sounds) and go to system/media/audio.
Take the sounds you want and push them into the same folder on your current ROM.

Same for me, however, the only real issue is when I use Handcent SMS, the notifications still come through, but the message is moved to SPC.
I have had really good luck with tcallblocking. It is in the appstore and has worked flawless

Wow... just tested out the blacklist feature and it works great. I don't get a single ring like the other call blockers I have tried and the person being blocked just gets a single ring then a beeping "disconnected" tone.

Yes, is the same. It`s present in some ROMS like Enomther and CM.
I'm using aFirewall. It does the job real nice. Since i get my nexus and installed aFirewall, never more i Was interrupted with anonimous calls, or get my sleep time interrupted with annoying phone calls. Being able to stop phone calls from especĂfic people is a nice feature. You should give it a try.

Yes. Search in this forum for Cytown to go to the original thread. Or you can
extract the file "Phone.apk" of the Enomther ROM, for example, and push it
to your ROM. It`s located in the "system/app" folder.
Good luck!
EDIT: Don`t probe to push it to a Desire ROM, simply don`t work.

[Q] How to disable ringtone fade in?

hi,
i've noticed the fade in thing and it started to annoy me. searched the web and didnt find any thing useful just an application called "Volume Locker". any one has a solution for the annoying ringtone thing?
thanks in advance
Same problem with other Samsung phones. What a friend of mine who had omnia did was to use a program like audacity I think and boosted the first second of the sound if i remember correctly
sent from my kyrillos' v.3 fugumod 2.2 BE oc'd JIT enabled nokia 3210
A few weeks ago, i posted the same question here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999208 and no one could give me an answer.
In the next couple of days i found out a solution. Disable "Increasing Ring", thats the name of the "feature".
To disable this, You have to edit the Phone.apk and erase 2 lines from a file, and, obviously you need a rooted phone. I can't remember wich file and wich lines, i'm at work right now and i don't have the files that i modified.
But this fix it located at the SGS forums. I applied to my 5800L with stock jpm, Kyrillos 3.3 Extreme, and now with Lestatious v2.0 (Current Build: 1.7) and no problems so far.
I edited the original Phone.apk from JPM using the original deoexed frameworks. I don't know if using the themed Phone.apk and a modded framework will work.
If you edit the file, you have to disable the status call tones (Settings, Call Settings, All Calls, Status call tones or something like that) or you will get dropped phonecalls. (i edited the file like 4 times before i realize that the problem was that.)
As i said.. this is a "feature" that samsung made to "protect our ears" in case of getting a call while playing music and listening thru the headphones, the ringtone could blast our ears and stuff like that.
I hope that this can help you.

OK, check this [HOWTO] Disable Increasing Ringtone
Download File from 1-st post and skip tutorial to the 9 step.
9. Put the phone into Flight mode.
10. Go to apk_manager\place-apk-here-for-modding and push unsignedPhone.apk as Phone.apk into /system/app folder
10.5 Turn Flight mode off and/or reboot the phone to avoid FCs.
11. Enjoy constant-volume ringtones.

I know that this is an old thread, but in the interest of others who may be searching for an easy way to disable this annoying feature that Samsung won't give us a toogle for.......Shumoapp has a free app in the Play Store called, simply enough (Disable Increasing Ring).
I haven't used it long, but it works on my Galaxy Note 2 and stops the annoying fade in.

[ROM] Slim Sense to GE/AOSP 4.2.2

This ROM is meant to be the slimmest ROM possible built on top of Sense. I've tried to strip out everything that isn't needed to reduce it down to the minimum amount. I've also made it a mix between GE/AOSP and Sense. To help get maximum battery (and better looks imo) I've swapped the SystemUI.apk out to tyler's GE on Sense SystemUI.apk.
I'm also trying to set it up so both GE and Sense apps can be used and you can choose which you want.
Every app which works on the stock HTC one firmware works fine here.
Currently as the ROM stands it is:
Under 400MB (it's about 380MB).
Uses Trebuchet launcher from CM
Stripped out a bunch of Sense/HTC Bloatware (pretty much anything i found non-essential)
Uses AOSP Lockscreen (auto unlocks for calls, allows widgets)
Has both HTC Camera/Gallery and GE Camera/Gallery
Has both HTC Clock and GE Clock
The only google app installed by default is the playstore, as the rest can be downloaded from it
Known Bugs
After completing the Setup you need to open settings -> click mobile data -> Access Point Names-> and then select your APN
3G/LTE/4G Icons do not show, you still get LTE (you may need to download an App from playstore to enable LTE, any that let you access the phone settings should work such as this one)
Only the GE Phone Works (It makes and receives calls fine)Sense Phone can't place calls (the app fully functions but doesn't make calls, need to find a way to fix this still, if anyone knows how to please let me know)
Currently battery percentage in the status bar isn't working
Feel free to ask any quests/indicate any bugs and i'll try looking into them when I get time.
Version 1.1 Fixed the bug where when incoming calls were answered nobody could be heard

To hide duplicate the icon from your app drawer, open the drawer, click the menu overflow, click trebuchet settings, click drawer, and then click hide apps. The duplicates exist to give a choice between Sense and GE versions

Going to load this up over the weekend. Any chance of working in the CM10 theming framework at some point or is that not possible when based on Sense?

Xtheme Engine themes work with GE
This is exactly what i do with any Sense ROM i install anyway. I go to Titanium backup and spend a half hour uninstalling all the crap thats not needed to strip it right down so that the only things left that HTC stuff are the IR blaster since i lost the remote to my TV, and the camera functionality. I always use the codex sound mod instead of beats anyhow too. This awesome! Perfect!
Does it use stock kernel?
Been running for a day now and haven't found anything wrong with this. Works great. Will run a little longer to report on battery life. So far I'm enjoying the experience. If we could just get everything in the status bar working that'll be great. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

You can;t make calls from the Sense Dialer. You need to use the GE one which is included.

Ugh.. I was super hyped about this ROM until I read this. I have too many people call me and this wouldn't be cool at all.
There is no known fix for this? I cant imagine everyone using CM would be cool with this issue.
Need to keep this alive.
Anyone else confirm the call bug? So the sense dialer doesn't work.. i could care less about that. Just as long as the GE dialer is there and takes calls.

Q&A for CyanideL 02-24-2015
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for CyanideL 02-24-2015. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.

How is this so difficult to understand? If you can't follow the basic instructions in the OP of the ROM thread then you would be better off leaving your phone alone.
You must be on the latest firmware. You can acquire it by flashing an official CyanogenMod 12.

Is this same as blisspop ??.. I see most of the bugs similar to the ones I faced in bliss... Strange...but kuddos to the team for the optimization....
Is anyone having issues with audio on CyanideL? I tend to get brief moments of 'static' when listening to music. Just little fuzz/buzz moments which last half a second or less, appearing to happening at random. Strange thing is that this happens on Spotify Premium and in Poweramp with good quality Ogg music, but not in Soundcloud... Just need to check whether it's the ROM/software or my phone as this OPO is less than a week old!
Edit: appears to be happening on both headphone and loudspeaker output.
No issues with music downloaded to phone I don't use spotify I stream to blue tooth and Use wired head phones no issue.

Okay I seem to have fixed it. I disabled boefella kernel sound affect and audio fx app is disabled. I also raised my cpu and gpu speeds in the boefella kernel settings since I was underclocking.

Hey guys, flashed CyanL in the Morning.
I come from 5.0.2 with the latest cm firmware, but i get no signal.
Any Ideas?
Dirty Flash
hi, can i dirty flash RC10 over RC 9.7? or do i need to clean install?
System UI Crash
I am getting a system UI crash whenever i am using the phone and i get a notification on Hike Messenger. No crashes whatsoever with any other app. Any ideas?
Also, kudos to @mr-cook for the great ROM. Most stable 5.1 ROM i have used.
First of all thank you for this amazing ROM. It's perfect for my needs.
With clean flash, oxygen modem, no xposed & stock kernel i found few problems:
- For me screen off gesture for flash is not working, but for camera is working as expected
- Also for options to disable privacy guard notifications, it still show notification. So for now i need to hide it one by one.
- And the last thing, i don't know if it's from the ROM or anything else. But for me the cLock widget font for the clock is too small, even after i resized it.
I hope you can take a look for my problems, if there's anything that i can provide please tell me.
And also i have a feauture requests to have options to disable power menu in secure lockscreen. Like the options for quick settings.
Other than that, eveything works perfectly and i believe this is the perfect ROM for me, no FC and very stable.
Once again thank you @rogersb11 @mr-cook @TheGeekyNimrod
Audio FX
Its my first post on XDA, this ROM is beautiful and i also got the previus versions. but with this last, the Audio FX app doesnt work for me. i do a clean installation wiping all .... thanks
Great ROM!
I just started using this ROM since yesterday on the recommendation from my friends on the OnePlus forums.
I've tried quite a few known ROMs out there and am really impressed by this one.
The only feature I am missing is having the option of selecting Priority Only on the sound panel in the power menu or having a tile for it in the quick settings. Aside from that, this ROM has everything one can imagine .
Great job guys! @rogersb11 @mr-cook @TheGeekyNimrod
Kernel Mods
Hi @rogersb11 @mr-cook @TheGeekyNimrod
If you are working on updating the kernel, please consider adding sound tweaks to boost speakerphone. On the OnePlus One the speakerphone volume is really low when using it for a phone call, and the tweak in AK kernel helps it.
I love your ROM, but unfortunately have to use to with AK just because I need this tweak.
Thanks!

[Flashable] Pixel Sounds 2.0

Hey Guys,
Pixel Sounds is a collection of ringtones and notifications for the Google Pixel which google released only for pixel devices. The same was released as an apk which could be found below.
Pixel Sounds 2.0.apk
Since, the apk doesn't works on all non-google pixel devices, I managed to fetch the ringtones, notifications and made a flashable zip out of it to extend the availability of the tones to all xda members.
You can download them from below link
Pixel Sounds - Aroma (Aroma Flashable Zip)
Pixel Sounds (Normal flashable zip)
The zip includes Ringtones and Notifications of below category
Classical Harmonies
Minimal Melodies
Reality Bytes
Retro Riffs
You can choose what to install in aroma flashable zip.
if you want to install all the files, flash normal one.
Enjoy!
P.S. I haven't included Alarm tones and common ringtones (those are anyway present by default in every custom rom), I have them, if anybody wants it, let me know. I'll add it and share the zip.
So glad someone did this! Would you indeed mind posting the common sounds and alarms on here too? I don't have a Pixel anymore (had first-gen, loved it, but went back to iPhone for family reasons...hoping to return to Pixel when RCS is more universally implemented) and I'm always looking for more tones to stay separate from the pack of people who just stick to stock iOS sounds. Thanks!
