Actually.. here In Philippines this phone is branded as My|Phone A818,
its A MT6573 with 512MB ROM and 256RAM
Dual SIM/Standby
Dual Cam
first.. i want to know if clockworkmod recovery works on this device.. or could i use recovery 2.x? well i want to have the stock recovery intact first before using clockworkmod recovery..
2nd.. i dont know how to go to fastboot on this device..
the onlything i can go to is the Recovery and Factory Test by holding V+,V- and then Power.

What i want to do on this phone is to enable SD-EXT for S2E coz i cant mount EXT partition due to the fact im still using the stock rom.
Kindly give us some info on this unit and how we can make use all of its features. the phone is quiet good, even though this unit has no GPS, 3G connection..

I also have this phone and i also want to know how to update install/backup rom if possible also root.

My Mom got this phone too, and I have no luck in rooting it, I found this blog and it has methods of rooting it, got my phone detected, but superoneclick and unlockroot doesnt work, can anyone give some advice.

I tried all rooting methods I found on the net, even update.zip from sdcard, unlockroot SOC, install and re-install of usb drivers but of no avail, I hope someone can do a real rooting tool for this mobile.

I think we need this.. I will back-up the phone of my office mate which is rooted by me using doomlord script. Then i will try it on my v14 phone. Hopefully it will not brick my phone. Hehe!

Yes Sir toxic I've tried and works well. I both my cellphone with V14 and same with your V17 it can't be rooted by SuperOneClick and Unlockroot. Now my cellphone is running V11 and I think works fine.
Just like Sir SuperGuko said : I will not take any responsibility on whatever may happen with your phone nag share lang po ako....

alright noted, so what really happens is firmware downgrade from v14 to v11 and the v11 firmware system.img is pre-rooted now by default after flashing it with the tools provided by Sir Gouku. we can now remove the bloatwares from the stock rom and mod that yucky status bar icons.

@Wolf09, I just extracted all the files from system.img, take a look at the screenshots, now modding can be done, will proceed when my schedule permits me.

First of all low internal space sucks!!

Frequent slow down of phone (at least once a day!)
Well if your previous rooting has failed I have a definite solution for you. I have done this before not once or twice but many times.
All you have to do is to download an official firmware from kies. Connect your mobile and see whether it updates or says 'this is the latest firmware'.
Mail me after that. I'l tell you further.

hi im not expert but i rooted my s duos 7562 using odin and step by step guide provided in xda.....all u have to do is read and follow...

we need perfect working pda file recovery.tar
if u have successful rooted give that file..

Dude install samsung latest drivers and use unlockroot pro..i just rooted via same application..there one detail guide dere too..go thru it..

if it has got the same screen size it doesn't mean it's the SAME!
Just use the latest version of oneclickroot.

sir one more problem the device dosent have android drivers but it has USB debugging drivers
will i be able to root

i tried one click root (downloaded from te official site) ..... it DIDNT WORK ... i got some error called andriod version not supported .........
what should i do .......... i also tried .... Superoneclick v2.3.3 and also UnlookRoot
All of em didnt work ........ always ended up in errors

Hi , I have created a post for this specific phone in the past and still no luck getting it rooted.
Phone Specs:
Samsung Galaxy Ace Advance GT-S6800
Gingerbread.XXLH1 2.3.6
Base Version : S6800XXLG3
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #1
I have tried everything such as SRS root , Zroot, oneclickroot and basically any other method i could find but no success.
Please can anyone shed some light.. Plz .. I realise this isnt the most popular phone on the market but i would love some help.

find your device's thread and find if anyone got rooted or not...
try to flash recovery.img with spft...u got cwm/twrp and after that install superuser...

The point is that i cant root my phone , hence not being able to get superuser function.. If anyone on here can guide me with a successful root I would be ever so gratefull,

Try using Baidu root English version! Be careful not to update this to latest! Best of luck!

Its Baidu Root.apk! Because updated will be in Chinese & I ended up with the super user which was in Chinese & whole thing got confused! I got rid of it after flashing stock ROM!

Bro thanks for your suggestions but i downloaded the latest version from official site and it worked perfectly. I've rooted my phone successfuly.
Now i want to know that which custom rom is better?
And i've made a backup of system after installing recovery. Is this okay?
Someone said that you have to make a backup of "eFs" so that i dont lose imei details. Do i need to even after makin a complete system back up?

Presently my cousin has this device! He is using Lollycop ROM build 2. Its good but he complains about battery drain. Yes battery is perennial problem in Samsung phones.

Kitcat build 4 or cosmic ROM

I ve rooted my gt-i8262 and dinwe some customization withiuty flashing a new rom.
Bt my camera app stopped working.
I copied a fresh files to system/apps.
But didn't help.
