Hi all,
I've extracted the Note 2's Gallery app and the Camera app - and repackage as an update.zip.
Your device must be rooted. Make sure you clear Gallery and Camera's Application Data before proceeding.
Go to recovery
Flash Zip
Reboot
For the camera app, it has voice-controlled photo taking.

I've modified the installation script to work for both S3 and S3 LTE, if your device is rooted and has busy box installed. :good:

Forgot to mention. Need to clear cache/data in Applications under Settings, and your rom needs to be zipaligned/deodexed.

Is there real advantage to having this over the stock 9305 one?

For the people with normal S3 I wouldn't roam this forum trying things could make some damage. There is a note 2 camera/gallery in themes/apps i9300 forum.
BTW there is not instruction to this MOD, its always good to make a small step instruction, Like

Just so people know they are doing the right thing, so is my instruction basically what I should be doing??

My bad btemtd, yes, that would be the procedure, except that please make sure your ROM is deodexed and clear application data for camera and gallery app.

Hi OP there is the Same Bug as there was in the first version of this app that came out in the I9300 which freezes when you try go into Slow-motion and fast motion, They have fixed it for the I9300 , Is there a way we can port the fixed version over to the I9305, There is nothing better then a FULL functioning camera and video camera

as we tried , you will get FC if you change you homescreen or lockscreen wallpaper via home... kazuni is working on this..
waiting for the new note2 source so that we can try to port the split screen like the new galaxy s3a from jp

I also found another bug when i am viewing pictures in gallery and i rotate the screen the picture does not rotate automatically you have to press the little rotate button on top of the picture

in ausdim deodex thread , u can download the zip and extract /system/app/samsungcamera.apk and secgallery2.apk and replace it to the same path on your phone.. and lets wait for upload the original source..

The crash also happens on my phone with ZHALI7/8. I believe it's due to the build not being compatible with the S3s. There aren't much I can do about it so, I guess we're better off sticking to the original camera/gallery until I have time to unpack SN2's rom packages

Ported Galaxy S5 Messenger to Sprint Galaxy S4

Just wondering if anyone has been able to get the MMS outgoing portion of the ported Galaxy S5 Messenger to work on his or her Sprint S4. Everything works for me, but when I try to send a picture message, and then I get a message saying "Whoops, Low account balance" However, I can receive picture messages just fine.

Use these two files. Place the SecTelephoneProvider.apk in system/app and set permissions and place SecMms_Blue.apk in system/priv-app and set permissions. Then reboot and you are good to go. mms works as well.

You rock! Works for me on Unknownforces NAE stock rom!! [emoji12]
Edit: All seems to work but every now and then I get "unfortunately messages has stopped.." any way to fix that?
**Crashed more after a few minutes.. Went back to stock mms.

That is very weird. I have not had that issue at all. I am on I9500 stock odexed and have no issues other then safe mode fc'ing. You could try clearing data and cache of the app and see if that helps. I took the apks from a rooted s5 rom and have had no issues. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Ive got the Triband version anyone know of a way to make this stick on it. Because when i tried to replace the stock one with the s5 one it force closes and i had to odin back to stock. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I was only able to get it working with the NAF firmware. However it kept crashing when I upgraded to NC6. So I just went back to NAF.
Also for some reason on NAF firmware both SecTelephoneProvider.apk and SecMms_Blue.apk have to be in the system/priv-app folder.
So try this using Root Explorer
1. Delete or Rename SecTelephoneProvider.apk to SecTelephoneProvider.apk in the system/app folder
2. Delete or Rename SecMMS.apk to SecMMS.apk.bak in the system/priv-app folder
3. Copy SecTelephoneProvider.apk and SecMms_Blue.apk to the system/priv-app folder (You don't have to rename)
4. Change permissions on both files to rw-r--r-- and then reboot,
Now it should work great!!!

Tried this on Sacs Version 6 and cannot get it to work... somebody mentioned pulling the Messenger database from another Rom but not sure how to do that....

i have modified this and created a dark version. i may tweak it some more, but for now it's fine.

Call Recording FIX for N9005 without CWM (updated for Lollipop)

-As already we knowing N9005 kitkat version have issue in call recording and records just noise. (latest ROMs reported having fix this issue)
Many users doesn't have CWM and applying fix bit difficult for them so here small tool can fix call recording on N9005 by simple apk.
-Needs root.

6.If everything fine, you can uninstall Recording Fix LP app.
7.In case anything went wrong you can restore backup.
Kitkat :
How to use :
-It requires Rooted device.
-Download and install attached Racording Fix 1.0 apk (updated)
-Touch app icon from drawer
-It will ask for SU permission, grant it.
-Once you get flash msg about recording is fixed, you can reboot device. Now you can uninstall application.

Remember this is not call recording app but just fix recording issue so you can use other call recording app.
You can use this call recording app OR This Utility to record call
PS : I don't have N9005 so couldn't test it, report me if any issue.

You can use my call recording app it should work on S5 too.
In fact On my Note2 ROM I am using S5 phone app and my app working flawlessly.

yeah both are 100% same.
cwm replace file, here apk writes on existing files that's only difference.

Sorry, didn't work on the ROM I flashed.
The recording tools also not working. It just show up on the notification bar. When phone call coming, I pick up, and hang up, the icon on the notification bar also gone.
And for the Fix. it did ask the SU permission. after I reboot, the device sound totally gone Now totally muted, only vibration work.
ROM = X-Note Galaxy S5 Ported v.2.4

Sound Effect used = SoundAlive

This is because mixture_path of your device is different(though device is 9005 but it using S5 mixer_path)
simply copy from your ROM zip and sound will be back. For reciording can you tell me which exact version you tried?

and as for call recording, I get it from your 1st post the full version, because before downloading, I've gone through the 10 pages, and from a quick glance, I found no other apk. So I'm assuming that one on the 1st post is the updated link.

Rom which you have installed you will have zip file of ROM correct?
go to ROM zip/System/etc/mixer_path.xml and copy this file and replace with your existing on device and change permission to rw-r-r
Sound will be back.
Have you check IntSD/Sounds/ folder for for call recording file?
Install this and tell me if it works or not.
This will record call intSd/Voice folder.

I'm curious on the full version for rooted device. So I install again, and this time I reboot the device. Now it is working the recording tools.

I can give you my existing mixer_path.xml. No issue.
the stock rom, that one I have issue, because I never keep any stock rom. I've been using all custom ROM.
If the one from custom ROM, I can extract for you.
the one I still keep on my computer will be the NC2 custom ROM pure for Note 3 (not the ported one), this one I have few custom ROMs.
and ND3, I have Alexandr-ROM which is close to stock rom (deodexed).
And I have NE4 XNote (the pure version for Note 3 - not the ported one).

I dont use screen lock but i will test to see if it is a bug.

You are right, FC. I noticed another bug with auto brightness. And also cant remove battery percentage. Get FC everytime. Still testing though...

Just wipe your device, flash rom, flash stock modified kernel, reboot..... A little buggy but calls do indeed work.

Just installed and working just fine! But there is a problem in the notification panel. If I get a notification, it kind of hids under the Quick Connect bar area-only half the notification bar shows. Kind of annoying but it is very early

Working great!!! Thank you very much! Full wipe, flash rom then flash stock kernel. All is working well. Will flash stock modified kernel (last download link) in a few. Just getting a feel for the phone now. Thanks again!

NFC force closes, auto brightness not working, notification pull down overlaps, blue filter not working , but again forgivable right now. Very smooth ROM. Very grateful. All will be fixed in due time. Patience

So is this the actual Note 7 ROM or is it the GraceUX? They are a little different, right?

If you install Good Lock, that fixes the notification pull down overlap issue.
You can find Good Lock @ apkmirror.com. It's made specifically for Samsung Marshmallow ROM's.

How to get Dual Speaker in Note5
1- Have installed some rom port note 7 (not i have tested in stock or in other rom, if like can prove and inform if works)
2- Download:
- Select Folder Note 7 ported Roms

3- Enter TWRP and flash Dual Speaker v18 I recommend

Great but i haven't flashed any ux note 7 port im.running darthstalker Rom I think note 7 ux port download link is broken or I don't know what happen but I can't download it using stock browser

I'm running n7 express, with jovys stock modified Kernel and Xposed, viper audio. I flashed this and it worked. But I lost microphone on phone calls except on speakerphone, Bluetooth, headset. I reverted back to stock and the issue is still there. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to figure out exactly what caused my microphone issues.

I had the same issue with this mod.
Surround mod seems to be the same idea. Try this.

links on page seem to be broken (for me anyway)

this is breaking phone call audio, but very nice mod i would give it a try when there is a fix.

here is a temporarily fix for the incall and out call problems.
go into the zip and copy mixer_gains and past it in the root etc folder. set permissions. reboot. this work for me i have call working and dual is running. please make a back up of any file that you change. and if i help please hit the like.

here is a temporarily fix for the incall and out call problems.
go into the zip and copy mixer_gains and past it in the root etc folder. set permissions. reboot. this work for me i have call working and dual is running. please make a back up of any file that you change. and if i help please hit the like.

Isn't that the file that is already being flashed to the etc folder?
I pulled the mixer_gains.xml file out of the zip after flashing and put it into /etc, set permissions to 0644, rebooted....and nothing has changed
Did I miss something? Anyone know of a way to fix this? Is there another way to have the dual speakers on the N920T and calls working?

Hi all,
I flashed the V18 version only to see that the microphone does not work in my note5. I reverted back to stock and the problem still persists. Any help. I'm hoping to avoid a factory reset if possible. I've tried reflashing the revert to stock zip and wiped dalvic/cache. still issue is the same.
