Hi, since i got installed liquid smooth rom, there's no LTE or 4G signal on my phone.
I tried...
1. *#*#4636#*#* (LTE only) No lucky... (LTE/GSM/WCDMA) I got just 3G
2. i alredy check the APN settings and seems to be fine.
3. I tried to change the baseband
4. Return to stock rom (RDSLITE)
And seems like im not able to get 4g signal... (Im in 4g area)
Any ideas? maybe something is wrong with my chip?

I hope someone can guide me about using Skyrocket in Japan or WCDMA 2100Mhz area.
First, I'm noob for Android from Blackberry, so please go easy with me.
I sent my wife to Japan with Sim unlocked I-727 skyrocket with SKYICE4.2E-12.5 ULCE2 modem (nice rom), and she cannot get Data connection with B-Mobile SIM after setting their APN correctly. B-Mobile support cannot figure out why it does not work.
SIM is for data only type, and they use DoCoMo antenna which is WCDMA2100Mhz, that I think Skyrocket should work.
I had no problem using T-mo Data SIM here in Chicago before I sent her out with Skyrocket. Got 2G with ULCE2 modem, 4G with VK1L modem. I flashed UCLE2 modem before I gave the Skyrocket to her.
Is she having trouble because ULCE2 is RAT locked(I don't have good understanding of it)? or is it because Seanzscream stripped world phone capability for battery sake when he updated to version 10 (I think it was)?
Which method below do you think to solve our problem?
I'm also open for other method as well.
1) Keep the Rom, and just flash Blaze RIL or VK1L modem, then choose WCDMA in /Setting/More/Mobile Network/
2) Keep ROM and Modem, and *#2263# WCDMA only.(possible?)
3) Go back to version 9 I backed up with Rom Manager?
Is anybody using SKYICE 4.2E in Europe or Asia where 2100Mhz band is used?
If so, what is your Modem and Radio setting? Do you get 3G or 4G with combination?
Thanks in advance for all your support!
Got it working!
Well, I was able to figure this out.
It seems SkyIce 4.2e does not support 2100Mhz WCDMA.
But installing other radio than ULCE2, it can be done, I guess.
This is what I did for the test, and I hope this can be helpful to others who may run into same problem.
With Leak 4.0.4, I can chosse WCDMA by *#2263#, and I got 4G icon and data was working. But I got "SIM not provisioned" error.
Restored SkyIce 4.2e I backed up.
*#2263# will give me selection, but not IMT2000 I needed to choose WCDMA.
So, no data in Japan which use 2100Mhz.
I did Wipe Cache Partition, Dalvik Cache wipe, then installed Blaze RIL radio.
Somehow, it made sim unrecongnized, and *#2263# did not give me any selection, I mean no list at all. I played around, and only after, Factory reset, fix permission, restored SkyIce Rom via CWM touch, I was able to choose WCDMA by *#2263# method. Lol, I had a 4G icon, and data was good after remaking APN. My wife gave me a good kiss over Skype. I think she won't bother me much when I get GSIII, and start playing around with it. lol.
Note: I had Apex Launcher as default because my wife liked it over TWUX. I don't think it make difference, but just in case anybody need exact set up.
Android up!
Hi,
HTC 7 pro is supposed to support 3G speeds. I am currently with Rogers (Canada) and have a fully unlocked phone. It looks like my phone is the Euro version. No branding on it what so ever. My question, is it possible to re-configure the phone for Rogers network to attain 3G speeds? Everything else works, MMS\Phone\SMS\GPS etc. It all works. Just want 3G speeds.
I have looked at ##3282# settings, but I have no clue what all those mean and I am unable to make changes. There is a setting for "Network Type", when I change it to 3G only, I loose connection to the network (Rogers) no phone, etc. But when I switch it to 2G only, it connects back to the network (Rogers).
Thank you so much!
I got an AT&T skyrocket SGH-1727 from my brother from the states. I am currently in the Philippines.
I unlocked the phone and flashed the latest JB radio rom and CM 10.2 stable rom. The problem is I do not get GSM/2G signal. My phone can connect to 3G and LTE but in areas were there are no 3G and LTE outside of the city, my phone just couldn't connect to 2G. I tried several radios like UXMA7 for Rogers skyrocket and even the TMobile UVMC6 T989 radio. I feven experimented with several roms and went back to stock but the scenario is still the same.
Is this because the phone is not compatible to the 2G frequencies in the Philippines which is 900 and 1800?
Is there a workaround to this?
Regards.

Thanks vincom, but when I select that option, the phone loses signal. I tried several sim on different networks. Still it does not work in 2G mode.
About a month ago I was in an LTE area and browsing xda and noticed a radio update so wanting the latest version I immediately flashed it. I noticed on rebooting that my lte wasn't working and I thought that the settings had just been corrupted but after a full re flash of the system and the modem I still can't get LTE in an area where other 4G phones can. However my HSPA+ works fine pulling 20mbps next to a cell tower.
Wondering if anyone can help?

Why don't you flash the old radio on which LTE worked fine?

I did, still no change. I thought that would be the solution too. I might be onto something but not sure? On the APN settings does having the bearer set to LTE make a difference, I never noticed before but noticed that it wasn't set now.
Hello,

The 4G signal that the networks worldwide use are not the same, GSM 4G is not the same as CDMA 4G, also, some 4G devices in the past were not true 4G, they used Wimax which is not actual 4G. My point is, the 4G your network uses is probably a different signal type or its bands do not match the bands the device supports. Research the exact signal type and frequency bands that Verizon supports, then research what signal type and bands that your network supports.
Many times I've seen 4G CDMA devices used on other networks and 4G could never be made to work, they were stuck with 3G because the device did not support the 4G type their network uses.
Most devices on other networks but still have 4G can count themselves lucky.
Thanks for your reply,
I flashed this rom (CM13) ; http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-cyanogenmod-13-0-nightlies-verizon-t3269675
my provider is "Djezzy" , and i think its 4g LTE.

You "think", no, don't assume anything, even if your provider uses 4G LTE, if the bands/frequencies of your network are not supported by the device's hardware then it isn't going to work. As I said the first time, you need to do the research to see what bands and frequencies Verizon uses and then do the research to see what bands/frequencies your service provider uses. I mean find the actual values of Verizon's bands/frequencies and the actual values of your networks bands/frequencies, you need to compare them to see if the use the same bands/frequencies, not just whether its 4G or LTE or not. Do you understand what I'm saying?
Also, their may be radio/modem incompatibilities, the radio modem is part of the stock firmware that remains on the device, ROMs are just the system partition and not the whole operating system, software that is under the ROM is still the software the device came with or had before you flashed a custom ROM.
