Photojojo lenses fit S4 (and Neo Hybrid case) perfectly - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

For those interested the Photojojo magnetic lenses fit with the S4 and the Neo Hybrid case pretty much perfectly spot on. They use a little adhesive metal ring that goes around the camera to attach the lenses which can be a bad fit with some phones and cases.

I thought about getting these photojojo wide/macro combo lenses but wondered about the quality. I bought the Camalapse 3 for my GoPro from Photojojo and it's not very well made. Can you upload some pics with the lens on? Thanks

I'm intrigued, will have to research this a bit more now

Sure I'll take some today or tomorrow. Used these on my gnex and haven't got around to playing with them on my S4.

interesting i never heard of these, i was looking at a lens kit on ebay that someone else had posted on here, i might have to research now. thanks!

The Galaxy s4 doesn't require a separate macro function to produce macro shots, so I'm curious how the macro lens photos will turn out.

can you remove the back battery cover with the ring sticked on the lens ?

These look pretty cool, thanks for posting the pic with the case on.

13mm Wide-Angle/0.67X Macro Lens

Finally got the $10.37 magnetic lens (shipping free) after over a month and personally, for its price, this one is already a good deal. For quick macro shots, this does the job pretty well.

and here's the lens:
Above images were taken using Samsung Wave, will post from Desire later.
EDIT: wide-angle blurs the edges. see image below. taken using Desire.
what does the wide angle lens do exactly?
can you post up some pics using that?
AND if anyone from the UK has bought these, where from?
I would like to get some, just don't want it to be ridiculously expensive.
It's $10.37 on dealextreme. It's in the title. That looks simply breathtaking for any phone camera though.
I had been looking at this for the last hour, Videos seem to offer nothing but praise and no problems.
The picture you posted leave me feeling slightly dissapointed, Ofcourse it could be worse, it could be a $2 Jelly Lens.
What does the sticky ring look like on desire backing?
Picture please?
Also the pictures on flickr, Seem to be down.

Edited my first post, seems like a flickr problem.
For its price, this tiny lens does the job, specially for macro shots but personally the wide-angle lens is rather useless for me, since it blurs the edges.
Note that shipping takes awhile, mine arrived after a month.
Im assuming you had to use the adhesive ring, can you take a picture of that, Just to see how it will nasty up my phone and give me a size, not sure if it will require ms to remove my case to use It
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
yes, i needed to use the adhesive ring. i have removed it several times and it still sticks. The ring is very thin, so depends on the case you're using I guess there will be no problem. I am using Zagg InvisibleShield.
here you go:
First picture is what i was looking for but isnt thay a great angle, So it looks like it fits into the boundaries of the silver area, Im using a silicon case so I think it would fit...

15mm Wide-Angle is Much Better!
See the video by MMMMMike here: http://www.dealextreme.com/feedbacks/browseVideos.dx/sku.39814
He shows footage with the 13mm lens of the OP also with terrible edge distortions vs. the much better 15mm version wich sells for $16.75 shipped. Note that is does not have a removable part for macro but if one wants quality fish eye footage...
I also have this lens ..
Soon I will add review on this lens here :

Camera lens attachments: telephoto, macro, fisheye, etc.

Has anyone tried out any of the various cheap lens attachments available? I'm thinking about getting one or two to see if they are at all usable.
nope but im kinda interested myself
+1
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I have no doubt they are very much usable. The silver decorative ring around our camera seems like it is good enough of a surface to stick the magnetic ring. So yeah, it would be usable. I don't see why it wouldn't be.
On the other hand, I have a feeling it will have the same shortcomings as it does with the iPhone 4/4s with not being able to use flash without it interfering with the shot.
ordered two
I ordered two of the stick-on magnetic ring attachment type:
a macro/wide-angle combo lens ($5.00 shipped):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005C3CSXC
a fish-eye ($6.26 shipped):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TEFKM6
I'll report back once they arrive from Hong Kong and I have a chance to try them out.
If anyone else has ordered a different type, please post so we know what different kinds people are trying (and can bug you if you don't post the results!). I'm curious about the "Jelly Lens" ones, as well as the longer telephotos. I'd also love to try the microscope attachments, but I've only seen them for iPhone and they seem to require a case to attach.
Unless you have Amazon prime and get free shipping, you can probably find it MUCH cheaper on ebay.

Sweet! It said Hong Kong, but they actually shipped from New Jersey. I got them yesterday. I put together a G+ gallery showing what these lenses can do and a little write-up on them: https://plus.google.com/u/0/115647333525152102730/posts/b2ysvnYbLMy

Sweet! How is it with just the wide angle lens?
EDIT: Never mind, I see one shot and I can see the difference between it and the fish eye lens. Looks useful.

Yeah, here's the set showing macro/regular/wide/fisheye of the same subject.
More lens fun... I modded a cheap 60x microscope to use the same magnetic ring attachments.

Here's where I got it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055V5PEA/
As far as I can tell, it's pretty much the same unit being sold many different places. But the magnetic ring I glued to it came with another lens, one of the ones linked from here: http://ragesoss.com/blog/2012/12/05/phone-lens-attachments-win/
You can make a cheap high magnification macro lens adapter for your phone's camera by just pulling the small lens out of a laser pointer or CD/DVD drive. Simply attach it to your phone somehow and center it over the camera. I've done it with my HTC One V, and the results are pretty impressive. I did notice some severe barrel distortion on the edges, but that's easy enough to fix with Photoshop. Here are some links with details:

Video Review: SGP Ultra Crystal Dual Screenshield

Hey fellas,
Got my hands on the new SGP Ultra Crystal dual series (and the regular steinheil models). With a device like the Nexus 4, which features front and rear glass - you'll really want to invest in front/rear screen shields to keep your device scratch-free. I noticed a few hairlines on my Nexus 4 shortly after purchase so I was very happy when I got the dual series in. Installation was super easy and they fit perfectly. The rear is covered 100% (except for the cutouts), while the front does have exposed areas, mainly on the sides. Being ultra crystal protectors, they offer great clarity and color visuals.
Check out the full review below for more info;
whoops! posted from my brother's account hehe. enjoy the video everyone!
I've been waiting for this! Thanks
A bit off topic but the Galaxy Nexus commercial came on before the vid... hahaha...
Good vid, liked how the protector would be great for cases but I wouldn't like if i wanted to keep the phone naked. I might actually get one to use w/ my Diztronic case. Thanks for sharing!

I'm thinking of ordering these. Could you guys please tell me if this screen protector looks anything like in the pic below after installation? The one below is way too small.

They're like 95% the same. The spigen doesn't cover the two sensors on the left side.

Skinomi Carbon Fiber Skin is absolutely gorgeous

So I decided that I got tired of Samsung's infamous glossy polycarbonate fingerprint-magnet casing and decided to do something about it. I think you'll find the results below are quite stunning if I do say so myself.
Feel free to comment and share your thoughts/questions. : )

Neither, if you click the main link you'll notice this is actually a vinyl wrap that applies onto the device, effectively adding almost not thickness.
A vinyl wrap? I feel like that will eventually peel or catch on the edges with long term use... in and out of the pocket and eventually start peeling

Depends how you use it. The glue on it is really thick and tough so it does not peel easy. Also they recommend to use a heat gun once you're 100% sure you want to set it the way it is so the glue melts and bonds to the plastic (doesn't actually bond but sure feels like it afterwards).
I bought this instead, well see how it is

Check out my S5 with a Spigen case

Here's my S5 with a clear Spigen Ultra Fit Capsule case / cover. When you cover the flash LED with your hand or just lay it on your desk, the cover disperses the light to the bezel area and gives it a nice glow.
Keep in mind: the photo does exaggerate the effect a bit. Actual color and intensity of the glow depends on what the phone is laying against. If you're holding it in your hand, it will be a bit pale / yellowish. Still very cool though.

It's clear. Most likely that's the only one that would disperse the light this way. As I mentioned, picture exaggerates the intensity, but it's still pretty neat.
Thanks
Can you upload a video showing the light when you receive a notification please?
