droid-at-screen is an application to share android screen on pc with usb cable
How to install and configure [email protected]
Install Java JRE (or JDK), version 6 or later
Install Android SDK
Run its SDK Manager and install the Platform Tools
Set the environment variable ANDROID_HOME to point to the installation directory of the Android SDK
Install USB drivers for your own Android device, by getting it from the vendor’s support web page
Download and install the latest version of [email protected]
Configure your device to allow USB Debugging (Settings-> Developer options -> USB debugging)
Plug in the USB cable between your device and PC
Launch [email protected]
Download link and detailed install instructions here
the above method is possiblee only with usb cable and with lots of installation steps. the only advantage is this method is possible without root.
now project android screen on pc wirelessly

The [email protected] works great! I attached some screenshots taken with [email protected] and two screenshots taken with my PC of the application.
I can't use AirDroid entering in http://192.168.1.4:8888 in PC's internet browser, needed to enter in web.airdroid.com and scan QR code.

well if you are on same wifi net work you will be provided with the lan web address to access your device on pc otherwise you have to make account and access the web based interface(WAN)
AirDroid works cool on wifi on same network (the same network where your device wifi connected to)

This thread shows how to channel your SD card through your wireless router, therefore making your SD card accessible from most devices (tested on PC, Android and iOS). Please note that your phone and the device must be connected to the same network.
1. Download and install File Expert (it's free) from the Android Market: https://market.android.com/details?id=xcxin.filexpert&hl=en.
2. Open File Expert and press the "Share" icon at the bottom of the screen.

3. Select "Enable WEB Sharing".
The IP and authentication info will be displayed. The URL (which is located in the third line) will be entered in the address bar of the browser in the other device. The username and password will also be required so please remember it ^_^
So on my phone it says "http://192.168.1.102:8080", so I type "http://192.168.1.102:8080" in the browser of another device.
Enter the password and done! You've accessed your phone's SD card from another device.
Please note:
1. This may not work on all devices, ranging from hosting the HTTP server to accessing the SD card from another device.
2. This may not work on all browsers as they may not have the specifications required to access the HTTP server.
3. The username/password can be changed in the File Expert settings or you can COMPLETELY disable any authentication.
3. The user and it's affiliates are NOT responsible for any damage caused physically and/or mentally
There are other apps in the Android Market that have the same function but I just use this. Suggestions are appreciated. Don't forget to 'Thank'
Wow... this rocks.. thank you for this.... God, i love tech... I just sent out a tweet to all
Cheers - very useful - the app came as part of the Gingerburst ROM I installed from Droidzone, so don't even have to install it
Hello!
This would be great, if it would work on my phone. Unfortunately it didn't. I tried it on an HTC Desire powered with MIUI, and after entering the URL in a browser of another android phone (and on a desktop comp), nothing happens. It may be a setting by me tho (probably on the router?), which I didn't find yet.
cheers!
Works great. Excellent app!
I have been using this File Manager App since I got my very first android phone. I don't know why people keep buying and recommending apps that work exactly the same way (or maybe even better for File Expert's case) but cost very high. Duh.
Great find, thanks
this also works using wifi tethering on the 1st mobile to create virtual hotspot and connect 2nd mobile to that hotspot
I tested that on 2 different cyanogenmod 7 devices
This is pretty slick. The current version also offers Bluetooth sharing support over OBEX FTP although that part is rather unstable on my laptop (crashes explorer for some reason). That isn't an issue with the app though. That's a known problem on my laptop that I don't know what's causing it.
I just tried this out - it looks great and the web sharing is incredibly easy to use, thanks!
Installed, and gonna try it tomorrow. I will leave you guys a feedback.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA Premium App
Tried using this but when I connect via either Web sharing or FTP sharing on my computer it just hangs there for a while and says a connection could not be established.
- Both my computer and Xperia X10i are connected to the same Wifi network
- I'm using WB-XPERIA TW Gingerbread Rom if that may account for anything
Configuration?

I have never came across this problem. You could try playing with the File Expert settings, enabling/disabling things and getting to a conclusion. It could be a problem with your ROM, your router or the compatibility with the app. I have noticed that the HTTP server closes when I change to another app (even though it says File Expert's still running). You could try using a different app from the market (there are loads), just type 'web sharing' in the Android Market and see what you get
You could try: https://market.android.com/details?id=nextapp.websharing&feature=search_result It has an awesome UI and easy to use
Hey guys,
I want to present you my newest app "Shutdown Start Remote". Like the title says, you can remote shutdown, restart, hibernate and start your PC.
I often watch movies in the evening and control the VLC Media Player with a app. It was really annoying to get up and shutdown the PC after that. I needed a solution for this situation.
Here is a list of the features:
-Supports Windows, Mac and Linux
-Easy setup with network scanner
-Intuitive design
-No installation required (only run a Java application)
-All screen sizes supported
-Possibility to choose between shutdown, restart and hibernate
-Wake on Lan
You can find out more about this app and a detailed instruction on my homepage.

Hi,
I just wanted to let you know, that a new version is out, which has a option to choose a special theme. For example Android 3.x and 4 now can use the Hole themes. I hope you enjoy the feature
Need a program for PC?
Yes, you need a program to shut down the PC. To start a PC you don't need it. It is a small .jar file (java) running in the background.
Looks great, trying it
Thanks Please let me know whether everything works or you have any problems.
Hi. I'm having problems with this app.
I've got the JAR file on my computer. And the app is also picking up my computer when they go to scan it. However when I click on my found device nothing happens. Then around 10-15 second later an option will pop-up saying "Could not find the PC".
Is there a way to fix this?

Same here finds PC but won't connect
nice app, works for me. Some issues/suggestions
-I had to manually enter my IP address for it to even see my PC.
-It notifies me of me using a ad blocker app even though i'm not and never have.
-suggestion: I didn't exactly know how to use the app, you should make a "tutorial" phase first...
I saw the timer, pressed it and it went to 000000 and on my PC a message popped up saying "windows is shutting down"
I think you should put a option there saying something like "Press this to cancel shutdown/restart/hibernation etc."
for people who can't connect:
Instead of searching, press menu and enter the ip manually.
If you don't know your ip, first of all you should be ashamed of yourself, and then give yourself a facepalm
then if you have windows, type cmd in the search and then in the cmdprompt type ipconfig and get the IPv4 or IPv6 ip, the ipv4 is shorter for me.
tried those and still the same result ;[
great app, i do the same thing! can you add a "sleep" function for windows? I find this more useful than shutdown or hibernate.
Hi,
Thank you for the suggestions.
Referring to your problems: if you can't connect although the network scanner found your PC, then your firewall is blocking the connection. The scanner works on another IP address and port than the real connection. So please check your firewall settings.
The network scanner uses following address: 239.1.2.3
The manually inserted IP uses one of the following ports: 57143, 57144, 57145
The final connection uses port 52899 and higher.
@NguyenHuu: No I can't add the sleep function. Windows only has the possibility to shutdown, reboot and hibernate. However you can take a deeper look into the windows settings. It is possible to use the sleep function instead of hibernate. If you see a sleep option in the start menu, then hibernate in my app let's your PC sleep.
@xriderx66: Hm I thought the handling was simple. Isn't the instruction point enough? How would you change it?
Sounds like a neat app. I'd like to check it out but I guess it doesn't support the Droid1.
Definitely won't hold that against you though, my phone is OLD! (But I'm looking forward to an upgrade next month!)
Yes, unfortunately at least Android 2.1 is required.
Hi,
Two weeks ago I've published the new version of the app. I've updated the first post.
really nice app...
can you add a support for dynDNS. I can only insert an IP number.
App worked instantly for me, great app! Thank you for sharing this
ROOTed device is REQUIRED !
This guide only discuss about filesharing not streaming media !
ANY DAMAGE FOR IMPROPER USAGE OF THIS GUIDE
IS YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY !!
1. INTRODUCTION
I found many people having trouble using Kies or just wanna transfer files between devices.
The solution is Bluetooth or Network Filesharing.
I will only discuss about Network Filesharing as Bluetooth is very slow.
In this Guide I will use my Galaxy Note 10.1 as my main device & the other device is for supporting only.
Network Filesharing has many protocol, but IMHO SSH protocol is the best for transferring files over network.
I use SMB (or many call it SAMBA) protocol for comparison only as it's not secure.
Samba is easier to configure, but now setting a SSH daemon in Android is much more easier than before
SSH
Secure SHell, similar with Powershell or cmd in Ms. Win environment but its more powerfull.
In Linux environment it's Linux console as Android is a Linux descendant.
Becarefull using SSH/SFTP,do not alter or delete anything you don't understand as it may harm your device(s).
SFTP = SSH File Transfer Protocol
Another advantage using SSH (not SFTP) is you can fully control your device but I won't discuss it here.
So I use SSH / SFTP (FTP is not recommended) connection to transfer files between my devices (PC,Laptop,HTC Sensation & Galaxy Note 10.1).
2. PREPARATIONS
Make sure your device is Rooted or this guide won't work !
Instruction / Guide / tutorial on how to Root your device can be found here, here and here
Then Install the required Application on each devices
PC & Laptop
For Ms. Win:
AnyClient (this is a SSH/SFTP Client only)
Any other SSH/SFTP Client will works
For Linux (I use Linux Mint Nadia)
It's already built in on it's file manager (any linux natively support SSH/SFTP client)
HTC Sensation 4G
I use Samba Filesharing.
It's FREE on Google Play
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
I use DigiSSHD and DigiControl.
DigiControl is only to control DigiSSHD and the real deal is DigiSSHD,but somewhat DigiControl is required.
It's also FREE on Google Play
3. SETTING UP
Setting up SSH/SFTP Server on your Android (Yes you are setting up a SERVER on your Galaxy Note 10.1 )
Open DigiSSHD
Make sure default user [android] is checked and don't check/uncheck anything else.
You can change network port value for better security, but make sure you don't use reserved ports (better leave it alone if you don't know anything about reserved ports).
Make sure authentication mode is single user for better security.
Tap on manage user

Tap on android
If you see nothing after Tapping on android try tapping on the arrow icon on the bottom left
Set the password,it's the 3rd row below android and variable location
Back
Tap on the OFF button to turn it ON.
Now go to INFORMATION
Take a note of your IP address.
You are done setting your SSH/SFTP server on your Galaxy Note 10.1 :good:
Setting up client on your other device
The Client side is far easier, just use any android file explorer with SFTP capability and use any SSH/SFTP client for Windows PC.
Linux user is far easier as Linux has built in SSH/SFTP client capability
For this Guide I will use ES File Explorer on my HTC Sensation (Android):
Open ES File Explorer
Tap on menu
Tap on Show Tabs
Tap on FTP
Tap on menu again
Tap on New
Choose SFTP
Fill in any required information according to your previous Server settings.
Voila! you are done setting up your Android SSH/SFTP client.
Now you can transfer/edit/delete your files wirelessly :good:

IPCast
Hi guys I've recently updated the old WifiQR that now is called IPCast and I've added some great features:
IPCast allows you to send, receive and stream content, without need*cables, in a simple and easy way. IPCast operate through any Wifi network and between any device that has a browser installed. In fact it does not require any client installation.
IPCast previous called WifiQR now include this features:
● Send and receive any file.
● Send your installed apps.
● Display photo in the browser.
● Stream music and video in the browser.
● SoundBeam: To synchronize playback between devices (who said GroupPlay?). (Supported by Chrome Beta, Firefox, Opera).
● Create queues with video and audio file.
How to use it??
Simple: Select one or more files write the ip in the browser and finish .. downloads will begin automatically!
With this app you can now easily transfer trough any device that have a browser!!
Transfer file has never been so easy!
In addition IPCast allows you to send the link to send / receive through:
● NFC: By simply bring the devices together (typically back to back) and then touch the screen.
● QRCode: Using any QR code reader to scan the link or from IPCast built in reader.
Very Thank you to Will Verduzco for posting this app on XDA news page!
Edit: A new update with an help page and settings on the navigation drawer and some bugfix is rollying out
Pictures are better than words:
Looks great! If possible it would be cool to have a computer client, Mac one in my case.
How secure is it accessing information from the browser?
Can a device connected to the same network be a PC and not only a mobile device?
AirDroid was just ok and many features didn't work and now I ended up using ESfileExplorer to transfer files from my S4 to my PC.
Computer client would be very useful

Confused???
OK, I've installed it on Galaxy S3 Resurrection Remix ROM 5.1 but when I select a file, I just get an X at the top, doesn't seem to be any options where to send the file to?
I'm not dumb but it doesn't seem very intuitive? Maybe a quick tutorial would help?

1) Actually IPCast use http so it's better to transfer only on private network but in future I'think I will enable https. So will be secure also in public wifi hotspot .
2) Yes your device can be also a pc.(But at the moment client graphics is optimized for phone/tablet)

Yes, you can directly create an hotspot on the host itself.

I don't either, I use Evozi. Works on PC or device.
This is great! I have tried many of this but nothing comes close to this app. Congratulations on a job well done.
1- The app can't access my SD Card. I can see an SD symbol at the top right but touching it goes to device's all directories display,
2-When I select a directory to download to the app is only showing device storage, again no SD Card is displayed so I can direct the D/L there.
3-Being a file explorer the app is not accessing root directory. Can this access be extended beyond that?
I am using Note I717, BeanStalk KK 4.4.2 Rom
Edit:
4-I have a second i717 JB stock rooted, app is loading and showing broadcasting but it's not communicating with my laptop nor my other Note phone. I changed the port to 8081 on both laptop and phone but no work still. I changed back 8080 but same results. Yes the KK phone ipcast is turned off. But I just can't get it to work on my JB phone. Any ideas?
Also the same 3 questions from above are the same for this phone as well.

Samsung Flow
Samsung Flow is a software product that enables a seamless, secure, connected experience across your devices. You can authenticate your Tablet/PC with your smartphone, share content between devices, and sync notifications or view contents from your smartphone on your Tablet/PC. You can turn on the smartphone's Mobile Hotspot to keep your Tablet/PC connected.
Requirements:
PC: Windows 10 with Bluetooth
Phone: Android 6.0+ with Bluetooth
Instructions:
Install modded APK normally
Download Windows 10 app
Open both apps and follow the steps to configure
Profit.
Bugs:
File transfer doesn't work (WiDi P2P Private API issue) [at least doesn't crash the app]
Smart View (Screen mirroring) doesn't work (WiDi P2P Private API issue) [at least doesn't crash the app]
NFC and Mobile Hotspot probably doesn't work (both might use Samsung functions inside Android framework)
Notification sync doesn't work (Private API issue)
What works:
The app opens (which was a really good progress)
TouchWiz UI is working fine
Connection with PC
Text messaging between PC and phone
Windows 10 unlocking with phone
Additional notes:
Please don't use this mod if you have an officially-supported Samsung phone (WiDi functions are disabled).
Fingerprint unlock requires Samsung Pass, which requires Knox to work. So, don't expect this to be available.
I had to disable the entire peer discovery function of WiDi to avoid crashes during file send. The file will show up, but the transfer will never start.
To send files, you need to have Samsung's My Files app, which wasn't ported (and never will be, because file transfer doesn't work).
Screenshots are attached.

Great job! Will try it out.
Doesn't work on the Pixel 2 XL running Pie. It says on my PC enter passcode but nothing happens on my phone. It works with my Note 9 and worked with my S9+, the original not patched app.

Hi mweinbach,
I've experienced myself that issue with a Samsung phone (w/ the original app), simply trying again fixed the issue.
If you continue experiencing that, I suggest you to try unlinking your phone from your PC (and the PC from phone) in Bluetooth settings and try again (or even try linking them correctly before running it, although Flow does that fine).
It also works fine for me in a Mi A1 running the Pixel XL Pie's system.
And finally, if the issue persists, please grab me a logcat and I'm sorry that you're experiencing that.
Don't forget that Samsung Flow requires Windows 10 build 15063+ (Creators Update or newer).
Thank you!
Tried the app and it worked on my Pixel. I had to connect devices via Bluetooth beforehand, though.
OMG thankyou so much!! Finally!!
I expected it to be buggy. But wow. Works surprisingly well. I am using a Mi A1(stock rom). The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the smart view. But you already mentioned it. Unlocking windows 10 when your phone is running samsung flow is instant. Great work. Logged in after many years to thank you for the work. Kudos.
