Hi,
I get today a notification on my phone to update the ROM to 11.3.A.2.13. Is there anyway to root this firmware without any lag? I wanna remove bloatware, because the phone have much lag with all the stock apps.
Root for 11.3.A.0.47 works perfect with the CWM kernel. So can anybody make a CWM kernel that works with 11.3.A.2.13?
Thx!
me too. )

How to root without using PC or flashing kernals ? in my SGS2 there is a zip that I can flash through stock recovery without having to flash unsecure kernal and CWM and then back to stock
with the last official update I've lost the root permission
so is it possible to have root installed through temporarily custom recovery via the stock one ? i.e without having to change anything in the rom except for root ?
thanks in advance .
Use ExynosAbuse.

yes , thanks alot
Just be aware that the new 4.1.2 JB official rom from Germany no longer allows you to use the exynos exploit. It's better to download the rom then install using Mobile ODIN. This allows you to tick ever root and keep root...
Does have any of you some method (i mean program) how to root Xperia J JB 4.1.2 firmaware 11.2.A.0.21 BUT WITHOUT flashing and unlocking bootloader? Something like UnlockRoot, Root with Restore by Bin4ry v25 or Super One Click. Note: these three do not work!!!

+1 for that! I would like this also. My bootloader cannot be unlocked, and I really don't want to go through the all-process of downgrading to ICS, rooting, updating via OTA, flashing etc.
Is this working ?
Just a clean install of 11.0.A.7.5 firmware --> root with unlockroot --> (only) OTA upgrade to 11.2.A.0.21.
This way you'll have JB rooted!

But how to downgrade? Do you have manual? Because every manula I found requires unlocking bootloader and I can´t do that because service menu says NO. I´m just looking for some once-click utility...

I am using Sony Xperia E C1504 Single and facing problem flashing zips and need Recovery badly. I'm using 11.3.A.2.23 Stock Firmware.
I want to install Recovery. How to install Recovery do anyone know for 11.3.A.2.23.
just search forums
Sorry - 2.23 doesn't have a recovery. You need to do either of these:
1. Downgrade to firmware 0.47 use jjm34's stock recovery (slowest Android version in my experience, moderate customization)
2. Downgrade to ICS firmware 0.68 and install hsr0's recovery and/or XboosT ROM (fastest, least customization)
3. Install CM10 kernel and use the included recovery to flash CM10 (moderate performance, most customizable)
Pick one.

Really? I was trying to do this, but got constant build errors since the most tutorials use a kernel with a different Ram disk... So I gave up...
Good news!
Have a nice day.

i just unlocked bootloader and fastbooted a kernel.elf that was sitting around.....instant cwm
installed cm10 soooon after that
Hi guys
Lately I have rooted my xperia mini and installed CWM using xparts. Anyways my bootloader is still locked and i'd like to upgrade it to 4.1.2 at least. So is there any way of doing that?
I'm using stock Ics rom and stock kernel.
If there are custom roms available for your device, you could flash them with cwm

Isn't it impossible to flash costum roms on a locked bl
device? I was kinda wondering if I could flash a stock sony jb kernel. Could that work?
If your cwm is for locked bl.. Then there shouldn't be a problem to flash a custom Rom. The Sony kernel your talking about should be supported by your device. I advice you to check your device forum

If someone who is rooted made an ftf from his ROM ...
You can first unlock bootloader and lock it after root. Both unlocking and locking processes are very simple. They can be done by the BLU button in Flashtool.

Thanks so much, but i don't know what is bootloader. Can u explain me what is it?

I do not know much about bootloader, but I know it is needed to install recovery and therefore able to install custom roms.
Let me know if I was wrong.

If you do not know what is a bootloader, than you probably should not use Flashtool, flash anything ore root a phone.
