1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available. (normally you can download the stock firmware and flash it)
2. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Root Package (Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3wjle4gfu9ekc2x/gzVNiqjIn0/Root G510-0200.zip)
III. Rooting the Huawei Ascend G510:
1. Download and place the Root Package archive on your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
4. Copy the update.app file you extracted to your Desktop over to the dload folder on your Internal storage.
5. Once it has been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume UP+Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.
8. It’ll automatically flash the file on your device.
9. Once the file’s been flashed, reboot your device.
10. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
11. Double-click on the file named rootx_start.bat available on your Desktop.
12. It’ll start rooting your device, will take a couple of minutes to finish.
13. Reboot your device once it’s been rooted.
14. You’re all done!
Excellent! Your Ascend G510 has been successfully rooted and is all ready to be loaded with your favorite root-only apps!

How do I locate adb through cmd?
I submitted my phone's serial number, IMEI and the like almost one week ago. I have double checked everything before submitting the form, including my mail address (which is fully working, and the spam folder is empty). But I haven't received my unlock code, yet. What's the deal? What can I do?

Hello,
I bought a used galaxy nexus S that is on version 2.3.6.
It does not seem to be reading any sim cards and the baseband version is listed as unknown.
I think it may be on a custom rom because of this. I want to flash it back to a stock rom but have no idea where to start. I downloaded 4.1.1
the google site. which I can`t link to because I am new here..
my nexus s is I9020A so i downloaded that version of jellybean but have no idea where to go from here.
Are there any easy to follow guides? And am I even on the right track here?

So I doubt that..

looks like SNS just means the phone somehow..

That would be extremely helpful!
Thanks so much.
-put phone on fastboot mode (turn off, vol+ and power)
-plug to pc
-put your nexussrootnew folder in root of your driver (mine is: local disk(C: ) ) and in there put the images downloaded from here:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images (be carefull to download the right image for your phone!!!!!!)
-unzip one time (in that unzip folder u should have a radio file, a bootloader file, a zip folder, and 2 more files that u dont need)
- put the unzip folder on: (C: ) / nexusstooneew
-open a command prompt (click "windows key+r" then type "cmd")
-check the pics and the commands
help understanding pics:
1: win+r and type cmd
2: "cd.." means go back in the previous folder and "cd" means open folder, hit enter to make the command work
now type:
-fastboot oem unlock (will erase all your data) to get your bootloader unlocked and the nexts steps working
- fastboot flash bootloader (drag and drop bootloader.img file)
-fastboot reboot-bootloader (wait 5 secs)
-fastboot flash radio (drag and drop radio.img)
-fastboot reboot-bootloader
-fastboot -w update (drag and drop the zip file wich is in the main folder of the android image that u downloaded) (see 4 pic, the file is hightlighted) ("-w" means full wipe = clean install)

ACER ICONIA TAB A110 ROOT GUIDE 4.1.2
UPDATED NOVEMBER 13, 2013; Most Recent Version
You will need to download/install the following before starting:
Acer Iconia Tab A110 USB Drivers (Should install on first connect of tablet)
Android SDK
SuperSU
a110-412-CWM-recovery.img Mirror: a110-412-CWM-recovery.img mirror
___________________________________________________________________________
Once downloaded, extract the Android SDK to a known location, such as the Desktop. (Use an extracting application such as Winrar)
Next, install the Nexus 7 Toolkit.
___________________________________________________________________________
Once that is complete, you can begin the rooting process.
On your device go to:
Code:
Settings > Developer Option
Turn Developer Options on at the top, and enable USB debugging.
Navigate to your Android SDK folder:
Code:
adt-bundle-windows-x86_x64\sdk\platform-tools
Copy and paste the recovery file in this directory, and copy the SuperSU files to the Tablet's SD Card. This will make the process easier later.
___________________________________________________________________________
Bootloader unlock:
The next step will wipe all your data. Remember to create a backup of anything you want to keep before attempting this.
Open a command promt (CMD) window in the directory above by holding shift while right clicking in the window and selecting "Open Command Window Here."
Type in CMD:
Code:
adb devices
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Wait for the tablet to load into the bootloader, then type:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Accept on the tablet via volume and power buttons.
Your bootloader should now be unlocked.
___________________________________________________________________________
Root:
Type:
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Wait for it to reboot, once again.
Next, type:
Code:
fastboot devices
Code:
fastboot boot a110-412-CWM-recovery.img
Wait for the "OK" notification.
___________________________________________________________________________
Now, you will be booted into the custom recovery.
Right click on the Acer A110, and select install driver. Choose to point to your own path, and point it at the path for the Nexus 7 Toolkit install. (Make sure you have include subfolders checked)
Now, the device should be recognized and the root can continue.[/Code]
___________________________________________________________________________
On the device, use the volume buttons to navigate and power button to choose.
Select Install from SD.
Now type:
Navigate to the CWM-SuperSU-v0.99.zip file.
You should receive a complete message.
Once that is complete, on the tablet, navigate to reboot, select yes at the prompt, and the tablet will reboot.
You are now successfully rooted on 4.1.2!

There is currently no way to make a full nandroid. However, if you want to back up the contents such as apps and data, use an app like my backup pro or titanium backup.
Make sure that it saves on external SD, not internal or you'll lose everything.

How did you try unlocking the bootloader?
after you type "fastboot oem unlock" look at your tab and use the buttons to select it. It gives you about 10 seconds until it reboots back to the bootloader
Oh and I can't get the sideload to kick in. I put in "CWM-SuperSU-v0.99.zip" but it doesn't do anything.
Im wondering if I can push it over using adb install bc adb sideload isn't working?
Thanks

Exactly the same results as the previous guys, every step appears successful, including sideload, but no SU after reboot. My Firmware has WW in name.
Only messages seen during sideload which imply errors are E: can't mount /cache/recovery/log etc etc.

it won't work that easy. On what window you are ?? I don't give a damn which driver you installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
just install the latest version from here.... Let it download and then i
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE USB DEBUGGING ON FROM DEVELOPERS SETTINGS
it will ask you for something like installing system wide adb and fastboot devices. Let it install at last skip the installing device software.
Now just go to c drive of your system or drive in which you have your window installed(drive) installed. Now you see adb named folder on the root of the drive.
Just press shift key first and right click then, you will see there a option of opening with command prompt or something.
Voila !!! you are now in adb .
To check you have right driver installed
give coomand like: adb devices this will show your device in the window...
if you see your device then type command: adb reboot bootloader this will bring you into bootloader menu...
TO check here that you are properly set yourself type command: fastboot devices

I got tired of ZenUI and I was searching for a method to install CM14. The problem all starts with my bootloader.
I've tried to find an unofficial way to do it and I couldn't find one specific for my phone.
The official one just retarts my phone, or it just tells that there's a network error. Something like that.
I hope I don't need to do downgrading.

I hope I don't need to do downgrading.

Hello,
You may follow the instructions here.
Later once the configuration is done properly then you can connect your device and enable USB Debugging under the options.
1. Download Modaco Superboot file for Asus Zenfone Selfie Zd551kl from this link : http://downloadsafe.org/file/0YgX7 , and save them to your computer.
Tutorial Video : Easy Way To Download file = http://how-to-root.com/10
2. Once downloaded, extract it by right clicking and extract all.
3. On your device, click on Settings > Developer Options > Turn USB Debugging On.
4. Plug the device in to your computer via USB cable.
5. Open the superboot folder that we just extracted (until you see the folder with fastboot-windows inside it), then hold the shift key down on your computer and right click any blank area.
6. Now, select open command window here.
7. In the command prompt, type the following with hitting enter at the end of each line.
adb-windows reboot bootloader (and wait for the device to reboot) fastboot-windows oem unlock *If it gets stuck at waiting for device here, download and install PDANet on your computer, once installed, unplug then plug the device back in and see if that fixes it.
Once it runs the device should display a screen asking you if you are sure. Click yes using the volume buttons. The device will go back to the bootloader screen but say unlocked at the bottom.
Also here's the firmware needed to unlock bootloader for your reference https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/zd551kl-zenfone-selfie-unlock-t3271243

I cannot skip the survey. The only one I get requires me to register my phone number. Is there any other download link?
Thank you
Update: after a break for a couple of days, this appears to work again. But probably not for long -- so better try it if and while it's still up ;-)
I was able to do just that (and unlock the bootloader on my phone) some two months ago (in February 2023).
I did by using this perl script of mine to simulate the https requests performed by the deep testing app.
My phone was a Realme 9 5G (RMX3474), the EU/GDPR variant.
A dry run with bogus serial num and imei strongly suggests that they haven't "fixed" it yet and it may still work.
I also suspect that it may work with other Realme phones not supported by the deep testing app.
But I don't have any spare phone (and I will not test my luck by locking it back ;-)), so I'll be grateful if anyone with a locked Realme phone would give it a try (the deep testing app would still ask you for confirmation, you don't have to unlock your phone if you don't want to).

Thank You!
It realy works!
Thanks,
Worked for me with Android 13/RealMe UI 4.0.
Now to magisk...
After unlocking the phone, I'm looking for the boot.img.
I can find firmware update package for UI3.0, but none seems available for 4.0.
Could someone point me to it ? (either boot.img or ofp package)
Is there a way to use this script on realme 9 pro 5g eu rmx3472?
Edit: It works perfectly and i was also able to change my region to ru.

Try https://rms01.realme.net/sw/RMX3472GDPR_NN.X.NN_YYYYMMDDHHMM0000.zip,
(replacing the N, Y, etc with the actual version of the firmware).
Also the variants with .7z instead of .zip.

As already mentioned at the end of that github page, you can use the "Strawberry Perl" distro to run that perl script on Windows.
1) First install strawberry perl
2) download the deeptesting-junk.pl script
3) start the "perl command prompt" (it should be the first result when you type "perl" in window's search box)
4) inside the command prompt change to the directory where you had downloaded the script
5) run the commands and follow the instructions from the github page. Take care to replace the dummy HHH and DDD with your actual serial number and IMEI ;-).
If you have problems with those instructions (e.g. the deeptesting app still does not work, despite the script getting a successful result to the "ckeckApproveResult" command), please mention exactly what happened.
I love you Turistu, thank you for the guide!
I've had the problem, that the device wasn't getting recognized in fastboot mode.
That is because the OnePlus Fastboot USB Drivers are NOT SIGNED!
You have to restart Windows with advanced startup settings, and deactivate driver signing. So that Windows trusts unsigned drivers.
Then you can restart Windows in that mode, settings -> windows update -> advanced options -> reset options -> advanced restart. Go to advanced boot -> deactivate usb driver signing (option 7), start the pc with that option.
AND THEN you can boot your device into fastboot mode, go into your drivers and if it's still coming up as unrecognized, right click it and update it's drivers manually with the oneplus drivers.
Then it should work for you, too. Gave me lots of Headaches.
I have attached the Oneplus drivers i've used for fastboot and a patched boot.img with magisk 26.1 from RMX3311_11.C.10_EU_202303171905.
You did a great job! Thank you!
PS. Dacă ești român, ești foarte tare frate!

Hello there,
I tried your method, I did everything step by step and it actually worked and it did unlock the bootloader.
However after yelow sign saying the "device is unlocked" went black screen, rebooted and again fastboot mode.
Now I really do not know what to do -.-
Any advice would help.
Thanks Rob

If the top of the screen has "START" in green letters, then just press the power button.
BTW, what phone model do you have?
