No data/network connection - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hello all. As of last night i was running dirty unicorn on my Verizon GS3, with no problems. I was searching for a different rom and came across the axisM rom, and gave it a shot. Although I love the rom, now I am unale to connect to my data/network. I have tried 3 clean flashes on axisM, and even tried going back to dirty unciron with no luck. If anyone would be able to help me I would greatly appreciate it!

I wonder if you possibly lost your IMEI. What does it show under Settings -> About Device -> Status?

My IMEI says 0... i guess thats what you meant?

You'll need to scroll down a bit on that page. I'd also suggest not showing off your phone number to the internet
IMEI is 5 entries down from "My phone number" in settings > About Device > Status.

[Q] what does Image CRC do?

Hi all- just got a sensation the other day and have started modding away- came from the G2X and i must say i am excited for what this phone has to offer!
I have a question about the bootloader- i have been getting used to this new bootloader and all its options. The other day i chose the Image CRC option and wasnt sure what it exactly did- i did get the calculations screen but dont know why it took so long so i am wondering what else it did to my phone . I have searched all over the web and through the forums and couldnt get an answer to this- can anyone help me in explaining what exactly this option does?
Thanks

It stands for Image Cycle Redundancy Check and that is basically exactly what it does.

seems like your cases are related. lik i said, your imei might be stored in a different block (might be mmcblk0p7 instead of 4,5,6,etc), so don't start putting those files back on your phone, until you are 100% sure you've found where it's located.

Have you tried cm7 11, without TWRP?
Well, the issue I'm finding is this...
Normal, working rom image:
#####################################################

There were no errors in the archive: cm-7-20120615-UNOFFICIAL-galaxys4gmtd-twrp.zip

I could remove TWRP if it's the problem... but if the zip itself is bad, as it appears to be, then that isn't especially useful...
Edit: Yep, bad upload. I'll be patient.

Yeah, bad upload. There may be an issue coming from TWRP also. Has to do with updater.sh
When the zip is good, I'll try it with TWRP and, if it fails spectacularly, move back to CWM. Would be good to note if people need to go back to CWM though, since part of the directions currently involve going to CM7, and the 'standard' current CM7 path involves r11twrp into r11flat.

Correct indeed... updater.sh does fail when flashing in TWRP currently. So, anyone reading this later... back to CWM for now! Should maybe end up in the directions, if it's going to require CWM.
Edit: Actually still getting the same error on CWM as TWRP...

Followed directions... from on CM7twrp, flashed r11flat without injecting TWRP. Shut down. Rebooted to recovery. Wiped system. Wipe data/factory reset. Install the miui zip. Fails...
Edit2: Got it. The sdcard was needing to be unmounted for some reason. After I toggled it from mounted to unmounted, it actually flashed.

GPS, Battery Life, Wifi SIP Calling.
I am still on Miui-Revenge-MTD. Waiting for a good day to move over to Miui v 4.
Will really appreciate if anyone can share their experience so far with:
1. GPS and Battery life.
2. Whether anyone has tested the Wifi SIP calling under the call settings-> internet call settings for functionality yet?
Also, I noticed someone had mentioned an issue with the Ringer in the development thread but it may have been due to their own oversight but I wanted to confirm whether the Ringer is functioning properly.
My apologies for asking any of these questions which may have a readily available answer elsewhere, where I may have failed to look.

[Q] Problems with CM10 - Can´t save apn´s - can´t reverse to ics

hi guys, i´ve updated to OTA ICS, then rooted, then install CM10 but there´s no way to configure apn´s. I´ve read all kinds of forums and there´s no answer that helped me yet. I´ve given up triying to save the Apn´s and tried to downgrade to ICS but RDS doesn´t read my phone. i´ve Downloaded, install and uninstall usb driver 5.2.0 (64 bits) and 5.4.0 (64 bits) ( I have Windows 7 64 bits by the way.) with no luck. so now i have a no cellphone nor data. Just a quick android gaming over wi-fi device.
Bottom line, how can i save my apn´s. I tried saving - reboot method, didn´t work.(cwpanama, Panama City Panama, i have the parameters) or downgrade to ICS??
Can you help me please.
at first when I set my apn, I just press back button and then it do not save. HOWEVER, after that I try after setting my apn, I press menu button then choose SAVE, and voilah! my apn saved and I can get data. you must have the correct apn setting.
Go to:
Settings --> More... -> Uncheck 'Enable alt OEM telephony code' and 'Enable alternate getIMSI code'. Then reboot, and now you can add your own apn.

Well if you were to root it make sure you follow that thread. Stay away from toolkits. You'll learn more and run into less problems. :good:
And as for the rogue app, if it's not solved then maybe the only way is to root it and freeze or delete it. I'm pretty certain you would be able to find it once you root but hope there are others who know much more than me come and help
