[Q] Is there some other way to boot to bastboot? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
I tried flashing CM10.1 on a Nexus S device, but now I'm stuck at a boot loop. The main problem is that the device's volume up key doesn't work, and I can't get to the fastboot menu by going power + vol up. Is there any other way to get to this (maybe by adb)?
Or to put the phone in download mode and just flash a stock ROM image, any help is appreciated.

You have two options.. you can try this the pc tool... or the usb jig (here) to get to the download mode.. Hope this helps you..

[Q] flashed wrong bootloader

Hi Guys;
I did some stupid thing to my phone.
I decided to flash ICS 4.0.4 on my phone using fastboot. after I done I notice that i flash the wrong bootloader and boot.img. so I return to bootloader mode again to flash everything back, but i dont have cwm and adb cant find my device, because the usb debugging is not enable. just want to know can some tell me what to do? I really need my phone .
Thanks
Why were u flashing a new bootloader in the first place...
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Does the phone boot at all? I guess the big question is that if the phone boots and functions I wouldn't bother changing the boot loader out again. If you really want to, and the phone can boot you can reenable USB debugging in settings..
Anyway try this to get into the bootloader:
Power the Nexus S down, and hold Volume Up & the Power button until booted into the bootloader. You should see a white screen with three skating androids.

Power off phone. Now Hold Vol. Up + Power. Plug it into your computer and use fastboot to reinstall CWM (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img). Now go straight into recovery, mount USB, copy a new ROM over, do your standard wipes and flash the new ROM. Now reboot. If this doesn't work, try flashing an official stock FULL ROM, 2.3.6 or 4.0.3. There is a stickied thread in general with them all.

My nexus s 4g wont go into download mode. Im trying to do odin because it wont boot past the google logo screen so im factory reseting it. When i hold vol + and - it just goes to the google logo and wont go into download mode. Help
volume up and power is needed to get to fastboot mode.
If you have cwm recovery you can flash any rom from it.
If not, get it. Detailed on nexusshacks.com even with video, to make it super easy.

Samsung galaxy Nexus

When i turn on my phone it shows me this i can not do anything when i try to download firmware on this phone by using odin it fails every time
Hello, we need some more infos to be able to help you. Do you have a custom rom on it? Which recovery do you use. As the galaxy nexus is an offical dev phone there are many ways you can fix this. On the first sight it looks as if it would directly boot into recovery but there is no recovery on the phone (bad picture btw).
Try to boot into bootloader (phone off, hold power and vol down) that should bring you into the bootloader from where on you can flash a new recovery partiton.

[Q] Help with my Asus

my tablet stays at the logo after mistakenly being clean rom in fasboot, was wanting to install a new rom, now the pc does not recognize it. I tried with the power + vol up I got the driver for apx mode, I don't known if the nvflash works for this tablet or not. Can someone please help me?
Describe more in detail what you did and what the status is.
Can you boot into the bootloader (Power and Volume Down)?
What BL are you on? Recovery?
ROM you were on and which one you tried to flash?
NVflash won't help you since you obviously did not generate the necessary blobs before this...

Stuck in Boot Loop After Xposed Install - No recovery mode

I have a rooted and twrp installed samsung s6 from sprint.
I tried to install xposed through twrp and now it boot loops. I guess xposed has a boot loop issue on stock samsung roms.
I can enter download mode but I can't get into recovery because the phone will not power off! If I hold key combinations to power it off it just keeps restarting. Does anyone know a way i can enter recovery mode. I do know i can flash the stock firmware through odin but i dont want to lose all my files. Is there a way to disable xposed through odin/download mode, or through adb if the device is offline?
Thanks in advance.

I had the exact same problem two weeks ago, but I was able to get into recovery mode. I'd hold Volume Down + Power buttons to restart it, then quickly switch my fingers to Power Up and Home button to enter recovery. Try it that way, it could work.
Also, you should try to install this xposed. I am on a stock ROM as well and this one works for me!

Thanks for your help. I ended up accessing recovery by plugging in a usb and using the keys combo you suggested and am now running the xposed you linked to. Thanks a bunch!
