You could at least have a look around the forums before starting a new thread...
Ok first
There is SEARCH field on right upper corner for newbie it should be your BFF for begining... Secondly there is SuperOneClickRoot software which will do it for you
I have done it and it works

9/10 Roms that are available for just about every phone use CWM as a recovery and install method.
CWM Is not quite yet available... read/search forums.

[Q] {Q} How To UnRoot The Atrix 2

Um I Need Help , I Rotted My Phone Some Days Ago And I Noticed How the contacts i linked with my twitter and facebook were missing , So I want To Unroot it to see if everything gose back
Which method did you use for Rooting? If you used super one click, there is an option to unroot with in. If you used another method, just do a little searching here and you will find it, I am not sure which thread it was in, but I know I saw it some days ago. Good luck!

Rooting should have nothing to do with your issues.

If you used the windows one-click method there is an unroot option in that app.
I just did a factory restore, that got rid of super user and root.
btw i used the super 1 click...
where did you find the unroot option? i need to send my phone back and cant find it.

McGyver Trick is a way to charge a phone when it is Soft-Bricked, and external charger is unavailable. Search Google for more info.
Which version of Android are you running that you want to unroot? Generally, the Root.zip package itself has unroot.bat file.

Found a similar thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1932563
Seems no one has succeeded in unrooting ICS. Just by interest, why do you want to unroot though?

Oh, wow...
I actually just want to return to it to original form.
I had rooted and tried the pac-man rom, but there are certain things
that don't work- well the gyroscope to be precise(can't play games like
temple run)...in addition the battery seems to run down faster, the network
data don't work and wi-fi is harder to pick up it seems and I experience some lag at times.
So I restored the stock OS (ICS). I just want to restore the phone to its
original form.
Thank you dearly for your assistance.
Guess I got to stay rooted then. I hope it won't be a problem
in the future though, like let's say if I wish to sell my atrix 2 or so.

[Q] Rooting Blaze 4g with 4.0.4

Hey there gang
Have a buddy just dying to brick his blaze and I thought I'd throw this question out there and possibly save him the trouble. If this has been covered I apologize in advance. I downloaded him the appropriate files as noted here.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591598...... But since then, he has broken his phone and recieved a replacement with the ICS update pre installed. So I guess I'm wonder if the method I linked to above will still work now that hes running 4.0.4. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
you should be able to install shabbypenguins cwm recovery as covered here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591622
then install any of the awesome roms that can be downloaded from the dev section

Thanks much man. Wasnt sure if he needed to be rooted to install cwm or not.
Thanks again

[Q] Help Flashing a ROM

Hi All,
I am looking for help on flashing a new ROM (probably a recent version of CM) to my SG3 I535 running Android 4.4.2. I was able to root it using towelrot and ended up soft bricking it when I tried to use ROM manager to reboot the phone into recovery. I then used Odin to flash back to stock.
This is where I am now stuck. My research shows that maybe I need to unlock the boot loader? But am unsure if that is actually my next step or how to get there. Any help or a guide in the right direction would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks in advance!

With being on NE1 4.4.2 you can't flash a custom recovery other than safestrap. Your lucky you didn't hard brick it trying to flash a recovery with rom manager. You can't unlock the bootloader at this point, that was last available on 4.1.2 and it is no longer an option

Help Flashing a ROM contd.
Yeah sorry about that. I navigated the forums for days before I finally broke down and made a post. I'm a noob and there is just such a steep learning curve that maybe I saw the information I needed but it wasn't dumbed down to where I recognized it.
Anywho, I was checking Up on what you said about safestrap. And I ended up @ Has-of codes safestrap wordpress blog and I could not find a download for the VZW SG3 so is that also out of the question then or am I missing something?

Yeah I understand what you mean. I suppose I have been a member for a couple years but still consider myself a noob when it comes to many things.
I apologize if I came off like a pr*ck, wasn't my intention.

Believe it or not a lot of the stuff I know has been both from the help of others and a ton of reading. I don't know everything myself. Being on here for years doesn't always mean a lot either
