Hello everyone!
Intro:
This is a project that I started on 31/03/2013 for the Galaxy S Advance. Original thread [VRT][THEME/MOD] Advance Galaxy V5a [I9070/I9070P][10/05/2013]. Do check it please for more info! :good:
It was basically my attempt to theme and mod the Galaxy S Advance as much as possible to make it look like the Galaxy S4 in terms of UI.
With this mod you can get a basic theming of S4 on every firmware without losing any mods or something. Just flash on top of everything!(ROMs/Mods/Other Themes e.t.c.) You won't lose anything of the previous mods! If you flash a mod over AGM and you lose some of AGM's theming, just reflash AGM.
I can say that it is my most successful Theme/Mod so far[12/08/2013]. If not, it surely is the second! It started as a simple SystemUI mod. Later I themed the framework-res.apk, along with it I had created my Fake Lens Flare Lockscreen(Current version) exclusivly for for the Advance Galaxy, as well as the Digital Clock which was one of my greatest and most-fun-to-work-on mods. The final, and incomplete, version of the mod includes:
Camera - Slightly themed.
Digital Clock - Totally changed to look like the one in the S4.
framework-res.apk - Fully themed I can say.
Lockscreen - The Style could catch the S4 at, if not 100%, 90% in my opinion. No S4 animations though.
Phone(Dialer) - Slightly themed.
Settings - I could say it's fully themed.
Sounds - All Sounds taken directly from the S4. (Notifications/Alarms/Ringtones/UI)
SystemUI/Status Bar - As close as possible.
Wallpaper Chooser - Includes all Stock JB 4.1.2 Wallpapers and all Galaxy S4 Wallpapers at the highest possible quality.
Well, you'll get all of the features mentioned above!
You'll find the "Downloads" section splitted in three subsections:
Main mod - Two files, Part 1 includes Camera, Framework, Lockscreen(Without LC text), Phone, Settings, SystemUI. Part 2 includes Digital Clock, Sounds, Wallpaper Chooser.
Separated - Every feature on it's own! In case you don't want to flash the whole mod but just one, two, three, e.t.c. parts of it. For example you only want to get the Digital Clock, framework and Lockscreen. You will download only three files and flash them without having anything else modded.
Miscellaneous - Currently the only thing there is my Wallpaper Pack. An archive that contains all of the Galaxy S4's Wallpapers in Full-HD quality taken directly from an S4 firmware. You can download it, extract it and use the Wallpapers in your PC, Android Phone/Tablet, Gaming Console e.t.c.
I recently brought that mod to the Galaxy S III Mini since that's my main device now.
One day, a user from Ace II community, @S.M.A.G , asked me to bring this theme/mod to the Galaxy Ace II. (Post of the request) He provided all the files that I asked for to make this mod available to Ace II and he also did all the tests. He is a really great guy, friendly and helpful! He deserves a big thanks from everyone.

[VRT] Stock Toggle Icons
File Installation:
1. Download the .zip/.zips that you want to flash.
2. Put it/them in your Internal or External Storage.
3. Shut down your phone.
4. Boot into CWM Recovery mode.
5. Mount /system, mount /preload.
6. Flash the .zip/.zips.
That's it, reboot and enjoy!
Uninstall:
There is no simple way to do this. Since the mod is Universal and it is going to be installed on different firmwares I can't provide a single file to uninstall this.
The easier way to do this is by flashing your firmware over again via Odin. This way the whole Theme/Mod is going to disappear.
Another way is to go to your external or internal storage, and find a folder called "vrtheme-backup". Open it and find a "system" folder, copy and paste it in your root directory, make sure you press "Merge Folder" NOT "Overwrite", then reboot. This way you will have back your stock Settings, Phone, Framework, Camera and SystemUI. The themed Sounds, Wallpaper Chooser and Digital Clock will stay in your ROM.
Notes:
I do not own the device. I just brought that mod here as requested and because it's a really easy way to theme your device to look a bit like the S4.
This mod's progress has been paused for now. Once it get's updated, I will update the mod for both devices.
If there is anything that you want to request, ask, say, criticize, fell free to do so.
The Status Bar background is not fully transparent. I did a small trick there. I used a Light Blue Color code based on Samsung's color style at 50% Transparency. This way I gave a full transparent feel while using Samsung's Wallpapers but also I also prevented White Status Bar icons from dissapearing.
This whole thread, except from some parts, is copy-paste from my Advance Galaxy Mini thread for the Galaxy S III Mini. I thought it would be better to do that instead of writing it from scratch.

So if I'm correct, I can flash only 1 part of your mod (f.e. the sounds)?
Will it replace my old sounds or just add the new S4 ones?

Yes, if you want you can only flash the Part 1 or only Part 2 or only one or two or three e.t.c of the separated files. And yes, the S4 Sounds replace some of the old ones like Touch, Lock, Unlock. So, generally, any of the .zips above can be flashed alone!

I am sorry, I had Roboto Condensced or something installed when I took the pictures. No, the font on the screenshots is not included in the Mod. :good:

It's paused. The only things left to be themed are the stock applications like Music Player and such. They are not so important so the progress of this mod is paused for all devices since I have so many more important things to do. But I promise, if it's ever updated it will be updated for every device. It's bug free I guess. Only thing that S.M.A.G found is Lockscreen Options menu is force closing. :/

This mod is only for 4.1.2 Touch Wiz ROMs, so, all stock ROMs are supported. I can't port it to CM, I'm sorry.

Probably would be a good thing to put in the op warning people that the screenshots are what your hoping the rom will look like. Just sayin. Its always best to be honest with the people.

I had ported this for myself a couple days ago, and it's not bad at all. There's not too much difference in all the ics roms out there. I guess the newest mods include whatever can be taken from the SGS III. To the porter of this rom, make sure you follow the port guide closely and try not to post untested roms to the public. PM what you are working on to select beta testers first. This is just courtesy advice. Keep it up and you'll get good at it.
This ROM works great! Love the theme! Could use a few ram tweaks, but otherwise I love it! Thanks for porting!

I have installed this rom on my captivate. Its gorgeous and everything works except the lock screen wallpaper and 3g.
Can't install no matter what I do, it just aborts on install. Looks nice I'd love to use it but just won't go on my cappy. ;(
unable to flash
This rom is not ported correctly, i was able to do the porting myself I have to say that it looks and behave pretty good. Hope the creator can release a new version with these fixes and new cm9 updates.

Fixes:-
1. To Turn Off Navigation bar
Open Rootexplorer,
Go to System,
Mount R/W button,
Open build.prop with Text Editor,
Find Line qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
and modify it to qemu.hw.mainkeys=1,
reboot now.
2. To turn on Developer option , Go to About phone--->Build number>press build number 7 times.This will activate developer options.
3. to turn On Enable USB Mass Storage !! instead of MTP, Follow this post
Bugs and Fixes:-
1. If Getting Connected device Force close error in PA edition, Go to System/app and delete SemcDlna.apk and SemcDlnaHandover.apk then reboot.
2. PSM ForceClose, Follow this.
(I) First make an account On this page
(II) Remember to set your country/region As USA,
(III) After Sign Up, Open PSM. It will Ask That U have account Or not, Click On yes

Why cant the OP theme the ROM? If you're too lazy why not edit the build.prop and add another line E.g.

i dnt have time to theme every Rom here, Tht's why i create a theme Own my Own So any One can change to xperia and If He/she want to exprience Xperia Featuers On AOSP theme then Can Enjoy it too by change theme to default.

I wasnt talking to you... I was talking to the OP. I didnt say I have a problem. Sorry for giving advice to someone else... hell this isnt even your ROM. The OP took it onboard and hes the one who is making it. Using the build.prop edit would allow anyone to change the theme. It would just be on the Xperia from default.
I am aware they are similar but I was referring to the PA version.

i used the first rom was build on cm 10.1 i have to admit that it is awesome....i got 2 comments and question on that thread but no one answered...any one what is the changelog or the difference between the 2 roms ??? and the most inportant thing is: still there is a battery drain as on cm10.1 base or it is different here ??? wish anyone of the dev answer me this time
It's the fastest Rom 4.2 I've tried, but unfortunately camera force closes and when opening walkman says Device not connected everything else is working till now...

There are no major changes on this ROM compared to Xperia CM10.1 ROM. . .As most most of the users like Paranoid android version we have just made this.

The S Pen works for basic writing and drawing if you installed the recommended apps in the OP, but Samsung Touchwiz apps and Touchwiz features like S Note, Airview etc wont work.

RELEASE NOTESThis is a direct port from the I9300 to the I9305 of the famous JKay Deluxew Framework.
What I have done is decompiled the jkay+untouched files, compared to find differences, then compiled into the latest I9305 Firmware.
REQUIREMENTS / INSTALL INSTRUCTIONSYou will require the following:
- I9305 with a compatible 4.1.1 / 4.1.2 Firmware, and ClockWorkMod Recovery to flash the .zip file.
How to install the JKay Framework:
- Download the corresponding JKay Deluxe for your desired ROM (Odexed or Deodexed) and any other addons.
- Copy them to your phone.
- Boot into recovery.
- Flash JKay Deluxe
- Flash Addons
- Reboot... Done.
Some people have encountered problems upgrading to newer versions, or installing the Deluxe Settings app. If this happens to you, do this in order to get it all working again:
- Uninstall JKay Deluxe Settings App
- Reinstall JKay Framework (the files from here)
- Reinstall JKay Deluxe Settings App located at the root of the SD Card

Notice the missing OK button and that the 'no status bar' option has been selected in Deluxe Settings!

Thanks for bringing this to our device, personally I am a fan of JKay since the S2. I actually own his Deluxe Settings app.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. I am on stock odexed XXBLL5 and I have tried everything, like wiping caches before and after, fixing permissions, even pulling apps and frameworks directly.
I guess, for deodexed roms could work since it is already working on Ripper or Pandorian, but for odexed something needs to be done and I don't know what it could be.

So, will the just-posted BMA Nordic firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2112213 work. The modem is XXBLL5 but the PDA is XXBMA. Would love to use Jkay after I flash it, but would like to know up front if I'd be wasting my time.

Personally I've only used Deodexed ROMs, at the moment I'm actually developing my own custom rom for the I9305 (based on XXBLL5), so I've used that and a stock XXELKC for initial testing when I first fixed it.
The only thing that is different between the original S3 files and my files is that I had to fix the updater-script where it mounted the /system and /data partitions, so none of the apks or jars were touched in any way. It sounds like it may not be a specific I9305 problem though as in theory the mods I made to the installer would have had to work for both or neither versions (de/odexed).

This is what I want to do next, physically port JKay to XXBMA. The PDA is what matters, not the modem, so at the moment only XXELKC and XXBLL5 is available for I9305.

Thanks for your answer. Actually I prefer stock odexed with all crap frozen or removed. In my case I can feel the difference in speed, my phone just fly.
I believe that what needs to be done is to decompile both JKay apks and frameworks and the original XXBLL5 to compare them. Unfortunately I have no idea of android, java or smali code.

Awesome news about the BMA3 port. As a Canadian using the i9305, I really need the unbranded Nordic firmware, as my current firmware is for HK and I really don't need want some of the Chinese elements. I figure non-carrier Nordic is the closest I'll get. If I know a port for my firmware is coming that's great news. Any ETA on when you're thinking you might? thank you very mutch thats what i need it because i bought jkay deluxe for i9300 but with omega rom and so many themes i end up not using this because i9300 has very good suport and many many roms. LTE doesnt so theres not any rom that i truly like it.this is gonna make my weekend thank you very very mutch.

All you need is root and CWM
thank you for this hard work, rxtreme rom has it on selection when installing in aroma and works great. same with other roms have ready to download on their rom like ripper but still thank you for this! now we can get support from the OP.
i have never used this mod on my old s3, but with the limited selection for i9305, i decided to try it, but i fail to find the setting for AOSP Blue color for status bar icons, i had even bought the Deluxe Settings app, but still no luck.

Under status bar, status bar options, go find -AOSP or use AOSP wifi....
Its there. Latest deluxe settings app says you got to have latest framework, and it's not available here yet.
But it works anyway(not all settings though)
I already have it working, but I can't post here without permission, so you have to wait.
i have found some AOSP sub-menus, but they only change the layout of the icons, not the colors
well, i'll be waiting for your next release of 14.8, maybe that will change something

So, am I reading this correctly that I'll be able to run Jkay deluxe on my i9305 BMA3 Nordic stock ROM? Sweet. It will be tonight before I can test this and will need to install CWM first, since I'm simply stock rooted via Mobile Odin ATM. I expect a Paypal donation to be going out tonight or tomorrow. Yes buddy i am also getting the same thing. I just want to make one comment about the icons from the screenshot provided by you. The icons are look a little old style, ex: the camera icon, file manager and FM radio icon etc... can you do anything about that. Note: After aborting, my mobile stopped in boot. After that i have to try to restore it but none of the restore files are working correctly so again i put os.

The Icons in the screenshots are of galaxy s3....and its a touchwiz theme i guess .......and i have made the new version which is working perfectly it will be available for download soon.....

I really like the rom. Great.
There is one little bug that I find annoying and I've seen it in this rom and the others from DutchDanny. The video player doesn't work and it keeps crashing. I love the room but I also like the Samsung player.
I how someone knows how to fix this minor issue.
Keep up the good work. I'm extremely happy that some love finally comes to the tab 3 8.0.

Thanks Richcar for this rom. I've been using it since you released the fix and it is really fantastic. I've had no issues so far.
Will keep testing, but so far this seems like the best KK Rom the sm-t310 has had so far.

Testing update
Just to let you know that I have been testing this rom since it came out and overall, I have to say that it is a good stable rom. I love the extras.
1 little issue: when you reboot the rom, you have to reinsert all of your WLAN passwords. A bit frustrating. But overall a great rom.

THank you for creating this ROM. I have tried to load this ROM three times now and it fails evertime. The error I get is "Error executing updater binary in zip" and it shows the path to the file.
I am running TWRP 2.7.1.0 on the WiFi only GT 3 8.0 and I have been able to run other ROMs (slimKat for one) with no issues.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried installing it from your internal sd card? I tried some Rom in the past I had the same problem and that did the trick. I just simply did a full wipe, then transferred the Rom from external to internal, did a quick reboot to recovery and installed.
Not sure if I did that with this room when I tried it. It was a bit a ago and I'm using a different rim now as my permanent one.
Try that. Hope it works for you.

I tried loading it from both the EXT SD and the internal SD and no luck.

I actually followed these directions and it is up and running now.
If you are using TWRP
1) Advance Wipe > Wipe cache,data, system,dalvik partitions
2) Select zip file of miui and flash
3) You will get Error E: Installation Failed ( Don't panic here)
4) Go to Reboot menu > Select Reboot to recovery
Then it says slide to install SU (or something like that) and I did
5 ) After rebooting in recovery Flash again the Zip file without wiping any partion
installed over the stock
dirty..without wipe..working just fine..friends would like all the languages in the same rom if it is possible of course
