When i flashed my friend's XPERIA J (JLO) to MIUI from official JB .32 i faced with no network/gsm problem.
Then I do a small research and read that I must install custom rom on ICS fw only.
There's actually a way to recover gsm without downrading and doing stuff from begining
Pre's:
- You need UNLOCKED bootloader to change baseband[ ! ]
OPTION 1:
- Download official ICS fw (such as for ex. ST26i_11.0.A.7.5_CE.ftf)
- Open up flashtool
- Connect device in flashmode ([vol -] + [usb])
- Select directory where you have ics fw
- Exclude the flashing parameters like below to flash only baseband:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- Click flash and wait
- Now you have to fastboot flash again boot.img of desired rom and/or rom.
- Reboot device and wait again to boot-up.
- Done, you should have gsm.
OPTION2:
! only for ST26i !
- Download baseband only package witch I created here
- Flash via flashtool in flashmode
- Flash again rom's boot.img and/or whoole rom.
- Wipe
- Reboot device
- Done
OK, i hope it will be usefull in any kind
Regards.
nvm

what does changing baseband do.?
sory..am a noob..!
Baseband is a part of rom wich depend on gsm connections, it needs to be updated for newer roms witch you can do the way I described to jump directly to latest customs without messing with flashing whole firmware

Not working for me (ST23i) too, using 11.0.A.5.5 Europe branding. Whole firmware or only baseband, after flashing CM10 baseband unknown

I think the best way is to flash ics firmware .75 and wait that rom boot up ,then you turn off phone and flash boot.img. Just flashing baseband will take time that rom set up... if rom isnt setted up that means when you will enter to cwm and go flashing cm10,phone will just reboot...

Differences between ST23a and ST23i are different 3G frequencies. ST23a are phones usually bought in American Continent (I think north of America).
And ST23i is usually bought in Europe and other parts of the world. It is reported that if you flash one version on another everything will work.
EDIT: I stopped supporting this thread and deleted all Xperia Miro files from my HDD. I uploaded all files here one last time if they are useful to someone.

I think someone mention that you have to add the loader.sin as on attachment to make it work.
Use 7zip to open ftf file and drag it to the 7zip window
loader.zip
and try this, but I get the same error.

Make sure you choose the option not to verify when you flash.

Hello, I need help rooting my xperia miro (st23i) with 11.0.A.5.5 firmware, but I need it explained with details. I know that there's already open theme for it, but in it it says that I should have my device rooted previosly on firmware 11.0.A.1.0 and my device is already updated to 11.0.A.5.5. I commented in that theme but it seems that the audience doesn't see the "little" comments, so I opened a new theme.

Not sure if this will work, but you can try this:
Flash the flashable stock ROM, when it's done, turn your phone of, connect it to the pc, and flash the stock kernel.sin.
It's in the FTF files, you can extract it from there. That's the only way I think you could fix your phone as fast as possible. Also, when flashing this stock ROM you must format system and do a wipe data/factory reset, like usual.
If you feel less internal memory;
If you feel that your internal memory is LOW after clean installation,
install a root browser and navigate to the /Data folder and delete ALL of the Lost+Found folder !

In fact, it would be the best to do.
I tried several time the vengeance kernel and it don't work on my device.
You could customize this flashable ROM by adding CWM...and removing bloatware.

I would heartily like to request you to provide stepwise instructions on how to flash it so that any beginner may gain confidence oh how to do it. Thank you.
Hey guys, i bought xperia L recently, and i'ts not allowed to unlock the bootloader. I tried to intall Clean nd Tweaked from serajr but everytime i run the bat file it won't flash anything, it will only formatt my data and it will be on bootloop (already tried 3 times or more, have to flash stock tft everytime trough flahstool). I cant install CnT, so i can't install [Rom][AROMA][L /U Bl'S[JB 4.2.2]GOOGLE-EDITION XL from yash989 and the Pureview HonamiV3 from yash989 as well cause they both need to install trough CnT bat file, and everytime i run it, it says error (unable to find...) and than just wipes my data, cache and system. What am i doing wrong?
Yes i got my XL rooted.
Thanks in advance.
Will you try this rom of mine? LINK
I will try to help you to my utmost knowledge if you share me the screenshot of your pc while runing the setup.bat file.

Hy, thanks for helping, i will try your ROM today and give you some feedback! As for the screenshot i can't take it :/ (it happens to fast and the CMD closes instantly), but it happear something like, unable to find system/(dont remember)/framework* and some other things, but i will try to get the screenshot and i will uploaded it minutes. By the way im using DextroDroidV3, wich is installed by bat too, so as you can see im only having problems with CnT installation. By the way, i need help installing this mod, http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...s/mod-pureperformancesx-zeno-edition-t2360985 , i know i need CWM, and i have it (cwm version for LB from Rachit Rawat) and i can flash it, but is only that, i dont need anything else? By the way if i flash your rom, i will need the CM or STOCK version of the mod?
Thanks again
Here's the print
This is the print while installation, as you can see it says a bunch of errors and just wipes data, system and cache! Now my XL is on bootloop.
I moved the installation to external SD (the Google Edition rom must be moved to ext-sd and not internal). With Honami it happens the same, and with clean and tweaked either, everytime, error and wipes everything.

What is causing this??
I will flash rom stock right now and flash your rom!
Would you please let me know which version of stock rom are you using?
Sent from my C2104 using Tapatalk
Right now im using MIUI ROMv1.1, by the way, very nice job with the rom
When i tried to install CnT, Google Edition or Honami i had stock rom android 4.2.2, with latest firmware (.14)
Do you think is some fails on the CnT installation folder i got? Cause yours and DextroDroid worked well!
Actually Clean 'n' Tweaked rom is based on .26 (v4.1) rom so it might cause some problem while flashing on .14 stock rom. You can downgrade you rom to .26 and possible then there won't be any trouble. I think same goes to Google edition rom. but dextro droid and mine are based on .14 rom so you don't get any error.
While flashing rom please consider flashing same baserom as the ported rom is of and you won't possibly get all those errors.
P.S: Thanks for liking my work :good:
Ho thanks a lot , i will try it right away and tell if it worked!
No problem you deserved, very nice rom
By the way, about pureview honami v3? is based on latest firmware so why didint it worked? Do i need to use same firmware version of CnT since im using the bat of CnT installation?
Though you are using bat file for installation. we have extracted and modded all those files you have copied to internal memory from the original stock rom. So system would be running perfectly if you use stock rom with same version as of modded rom
In case of honami rom I have to check the details before I will be of any help. I will check the details and will suggest you if I got any solution later today

I will try flash 0.26 now and install CnT, to install google edition should i use 0.26 or 1.12? Because in the details say that GE is based on 1.12. About honami i will wait for your answer.
Thanks for everything and sorry for bothering
Clean and tweaked worked with firmware 0.26
Thanks a lot dude!! Now i just want to know wich firmwae to use for Google Edition and Honami?
If Ge is based on. 12 rom why not try flashing that . 12 rom and then try GE build.
In case of honami have you deodex your xl before flashing the mod?

Probably same error as flashing with 1.12.
Do i need to doadex my XL either before flashing GE?
Thanks for all
Hey i got it!
I installed honami v3, just flashed 1.14 and deodexed it! Probably i have to deodex ROM to flash GE either, THANKS for everything man
Hey sorry for bothering again, the error is back :/ yesterday i flashed it sucesfully (GE Rom) but i had to flash everything again cause i screwed up some things, and now it gives me the same error. I flash 1.12, root my XL, deodox it, follow the instructions (Copy app, framework and lib to ...)
Move it to my EXT-sd and it will give me all those "unable to find file" errors. What am i possibly doing wrong?
Have you copied those rom folder to your internal memory or SD card?

EXT-sd ( GE is supossed to go to ext-sd, when is on internal-sd with will get error "unable to find su or device", cant remember
Could pc companion cause this?
By the way, the instrutctions for LB are confusing so i dont know if im coppying exactly as i should, anyone who has LB and working GE can upload the folder?
Ok I will start studying the codes and will get to you when I have the solution.

You don't need to flash other kernel or modem.. it works fine on my end with latest lollipop modem and bootloader, just follow the instructions in the OP [emoji2]
