Hello,
I own my Galaxy S4 I9505 about two weeks now, till yesterday I noticed that when I plug in my official charger my phone says it's charging with usb. This obviously results in slow charging speeds, I have searched the web but haven't really found any solutions, I hope someone is able to help me , thank you!
Edit : sorry, wrong forum :s, this needs to be in Q&A...
So I pushed the usb cable again and guess what? That usb cable wasn't pushed far enough.. I feel so stupid, sorry for wasting your time and this topic can be deleted

Hey, guys.
I recently got the GTab 7.0+ and rooted it via MicroSD and I'm REALLY trying to get it to charge via USB.
I got the official Samsung dock and it's soooo ridiculous that I can't charge it via my computer's USB. It's also ridiculous this short cable the tab came with. I ordered the 6' so hopefully that will help.
I tried this (link below) but it just said 'directory nonexistent'. I triple checked what I typed. Anyone get USB charging to work successfully?
Thank you in advance. :]

You mean that your USB cable will charge your tab, but it will not connect to the PC?

Friend, it is not working even with the charger or the pc, do not receive any kind of load .. :\
Sorry, I'm having a little bit of trouble understanding you. So your tablet will neither charge nor connect to your pc?

Hi, my TF101 died some time ago and the other day i changed the motherboard and it came back to life.
The problem now is that is not detected by any pc when connected via usb, not even in APX mode.
The usb cable works fine, it charges the tablet but nothing else. Tried a couple of cables, pcs, macs, usb debugging on/off, etc.....
Now it is in stock 4.0.3 and i cannot find a way to root it.
Any idea what can i do to root it?
Thanks!
Anyone? Having stock android is very painfull.... Need help!

Have you double checked everything is plugged in correctly on the board you replaced ?
Cna't remember off hand how to root without USB on stock ICS, but check transformerforums.com - there are a guides on rooting ICS, you might find something
I would look at the USB issue though, maybe just taking the thing apart and connecting it all back up will sort it, could just be a loose connection

Yea i thought about that but if the tablet is charging then the connections are ok, as it's the same flex that connects the port to the mb. Right?

Well it's the same one, but different pins, sometimes people find they can charge but not connect to USB, but a replacement cable fixes the problem
Worth checking imo
My 2 year old original cable still charges but does not work for USB connections. Had to get a new cable. New one works perfectly well.
Hello Everybody , I have a Tablet Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8010 . In fact my Tablet is charging slowly and when i connect with the usb cable my computer does not recognize the Tablet . Somebody can help me
Are you using original cable ?
Long cable tend to be slow charing
I just received my Note 10.1, a used one with 3m length cable, and same as you, not recognized by the pc, I ordered shorter one on ebay
Also not sure Galaxy charging works for this tablet, but it's less than 0.5A when using this cable, sooo....
i had a problem like this.
Use the original cable, or a usb 3.0

Hi.
I recently got an old computer set up that doesn't have Wi-Fi, or an Ethernet cable running nearby. I was delighted to find that I could instead use my Note 3 to provide it with internet. The problem is that the phone doesn't change nearly as quickly on usb, and it appeared to be discharging when I was using it.
The question is, is it possible to make a micro usb cable with two usb male ends, one that goes into an adapter to charge from the wall, and the other to go into a pc to transfer data?
I looked around and apparently no one shares this twisted fantasy, so I figured someone on here can tell me whether it's at all possible.
Thanks in advance
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. It's probably possible, if you split the cable correctly then theoretically it should work. I can't find anything relating to this on XDA though, but you should be able to find technical schematics for USB cable wiring conventions pretty easily on the interwebz.
Good luck!
