Galaxy r dead, help please - Samsung Galaxy R i9103

Hi xda ,
my galaxy r is dead since two weeks and i really need help
ill provide info bout the cell
it was rooted and on stock ics indian
it started turning off after few seconds on starting, i went to svc, they said its battery problem so i tested with new battery, the same problem, so i returned the battery
then i again gave my phone to svc and they said theyll put a boot on it for rs 1500 but still same problem
i thought it is bricked so i followed the galaxy r unbrick tut, it worked fine till installing drivers, then in download mode, phone again turned off in few seconds, odin didnt recognise it, and it went totally dead, no turning on till samsung logo like it could do earlier
i wasnt convinced so i gave it to other svc, they tried a power ic and said phone started but then next day they demand rs 6500 for new motherboard,
phone has no os now, and doesnt start, so i cant flash stock fw and pit files
idk what to do

d nly problem i see to ur device is random shutdown..
i had d same prob.. even in download mode d fone used to shutdown...
so nly soln is motherboard replacement..
if d fone is in warranty period, get it done asap else u need to shell out as much as 7k to repair d device...

The track of Power IC in ur Galaxy R motherboard seems to be broken.
I think only trick is to check every track of IC & place the jumper.
NOTE : ONLY MOBILE EXPERTS CAN DO THIS!

Probably the problem is in cpu/gpu chip and its loosing contact with mb while heating. You can heat the motherboard in electric or gas stove for 6 minutes at 200-220 degree by Celsius. It could help but 50/50. At the end if you're phone is working before svc and after svc its completely not responding its not good at all, then it's should be repaired for free. If they do something that i described and something goes wrong, probably you never repair you're mb.

thank you guys, you've really helped me tho i couldn't get my phone to work, it was gonna cost lots and still it'd be giving same problems it did earlier, battery problems and irresponsive touch, so i decided to sat goodbye to galaxy r
the retailer kept it for rs 2500, maybe he's gonna sell its LCD or stuff idk, anyways it was a nice one and half years , lol with 3 chargers and 4 batteries and many accessories which are worthless, hehe its a good phone tho
hope your sgr's stay with you for long
this forum is amazing btw, never thought i'd get jellybean on my sgr lol, you're awesome

Battery meter stuck at 100%

Hi guys two questions..... im a newbie so forgive if I don't understand ur xda forum lingo..... newho.....
1. my battery meter show 100% at all times.... when its fully charged and when its been used all day... and then eventually wen it drains out...it jus dies out... but still at 100%.... how can I correct this? I have not installed any battery meter applications.
2. I do not get any sound notification if I have an incoming call while on a call, so when I hang up... I just see a missed call..... :-S please help.
its not stuck its one of those life time batteries
how abt u letting us know which device and some more info abt the rom you have flashed. wud be helpful. really
....lol...i kno huh? life time running battery... sheeeeeettt..... newho....
oh yaa completely forgot using the LG KS20 ... jus got it like 2 weeks back... im on wm6 ..... hope that helps....
ROM i have flashed....? ummmmm sorry bout the ignorance..... dunt quite understand the question......
come to think of it. maybe it is a lifetime battery. hehehehe. anyways i did ma research on google. and have to say sorry pal. i cudnt find any other link related to this specific problems. i suggest you try some alternative programs like battery status or spb mobile shell to keep track of ur mobile phone status.
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/mobileshell/?en
jus incase u dont like installing another program might i suggest u try a hard reset. make it will bring out the bugs. btw when u 1st had this, did this problem occur? anyways keep me posted or PM me. for some reason i like helpin u out, with ur fine sense of humor.
.....well it was fine in the begining, wen i bought it.....cuz i had left the phone charger at work... n it was over the weekend n was charging my phone off of the USB cable which i got along with me home..... but then wen i charged it for the first time all night with the wall charger.... its been stuck at damn 100%.. guess i charged it too much... n fried the sucker! lol... newho.... well ive installed 3rd party application now... ive actually got spb mobile shell... but still shows 100% everywhere..... ive tried hard reset.... tried draining the batt. completely and recharging it again... but nuffin works... took it to the LG service shop today.... damn idiot hadn't ever seen a LG windows phone... n kept pressing the camera button to wake the phone.... had to smack him in the head n told him to call someone who knows bout this phone... so yaaa he sed would have to check the software n ****.... im like do me a favor n get a spare battery lets have it checked with the spare batt. first and then we'll move onto checking the application... so waiting for 2-3 day suntil they get a spare batt. and then i guess will move on from there..... but yaaa another question still stand.....
i dunt hear the notification on incoming call while on a call.... any answers to that?
i hope u have smacked him good and also some sense into those ppl in those lame service centre. i kinda had the similar problem when i took ma laptop for checkup. those ppl didnt know how to move in computer management until i showed them and demanded a qualified personal.
anyways gettin back on topic. i think u may have charged it too well pal. i hope those service centre ppl remain as idiots to give u a replacement for ur battery or whichever in need. hehehe lets hope so.
anyhow ur 2nd problem aint less of a headache too. this problem is all over the forum. currently this is what i found. i wil do some more digging later and get back to u pal.

I have the same problem too. At beginning, it was the problem that I can't charge the battery to 100%, only 99%, so I brought it back to shop and ask for replace battery. After few days, I got it and now it stuck at 100% now. and all of sudden, it will turn off by itself. Guess run out of battery. Want to flash a new rom , but I am afraid it will lose warranty if I need send it back to LG

[Q] Problem with Galaxy R GT-i9103

Hello Everyone, I have a Samsung Galaxy R, I bought it a week ago, I haven't rooted it, and have no intentions of rooting it in near future. 2 days ago, the phone suddenly got switched off, and wasn't booting up.. and after trying 3-4 times, the problem was still there.. Then yesterday, again, the same thing happened, and the phone did not boot back up again. Can you please tell me what can be the problem? I have loads of apps installed and really need help regarding this problem my phone is facing.
Thanks in advance!
It could be some hardware problem with your device. Do you still have the warranty?
Have you tried an hard rest to see if the problem will disappear? (you will lose all your data thus..)
Ya i have full warranty. I wanted to clarify one thing, this problem occurs only during the night. I am saying this because it has happened two nights in a row..
Sent from my GT-I9103 using xda premium
During the night? Do u charge your phone normally trough this period?
I still suggest to try an hard reset first, if nothing change, luckily, you still have the warranty.
I went to the service center, they re-installed the firmware, and now the phone is working fine.. I guess..
If it is connected to a charger during that time, it could be related to some over charging protection.
The Phone, connected to the charger or not, automatically switches off on its own. Today I went to the service centre again. they tried to re-install the firmware again, and came to a conclusion that the motherboard of the phone needs to be replaced. :'(
I am really disappointed!
Hey i also have the same problem with my samsung galaxy R i9103 . Earlier it was switching off and it only booted once i removed its battery and then placed it back again . But about a week back when i got up i found that the phone was switched off and didn't start no matter what i do . I took it to sevice center and they are now in the pocess of eplacing its mother board . Keep me updated about your phone.

Since, Galaxy R was released to compete with LG Optimus 2X, now that LG have discontinued 2X, there is no reason for Samsung to compete at the same price point and subsequently have discontinued Galaxy R.
same problem
Same situation, hard reset procedure does nothing. Pressing volume up, power and home key. How long should you be sitting like that?

[Q] Can't Power On to my P6200 Galaxy Tab 7+ (3G+Wifi)

Anybody......please help me to my problems. I can't open (power on) or enter to recovery mode or downloading mode. I can't do anything to my device. Before happening things to my device, I left my device for 2 days without using it. I think it lack of battery power or something.
Now, can't do anything to it. My device is in ICS 4.0.4 Austria firmware and also rooted.
Please how can i cure my device?:crying:
Thanks all who read this in advance.
I had the same problem, I took it to servicing... they said the PCB(phone circuit board) was fried... got it replaced and its fine now....
Anyway, if anybody could fix it...I would be happy to learn the skill to do it myself....

Ahrrr...... Exchanging PCB??? It might be expensive. But I didn't do anything to brick hardware. :'(
Could you please tell me how much it is cost to exchange PCB?
Well I got it for free... that time my phone was still under warranty, and it was just dead, and I knew there was no way they(servicing people) would know about my rooted phone, so its dirty but I told them it just died, and got it replaced for free...lol... so I don't really know the cost...lol
If ur phone is still under warranty, maybe you could use the same technique ...
ICS stock recovery hv problem, many people have become bootloop / hardbricks after wipe using stock/temporary recovery. If u want to flash official ICS, u need to flash CWR to.
Hardbricks mean your main board dead and need to replace the new board.
For more details, refer to this link.

One question please: If you connect the tablet to AC power for some time (at least ten minutes) appears then the green battery charging icon ? Or nothing ...
Edit : it's possible that the tablet goes to a deep discharge condition, very dangerous for Li-ion batteries...

Sorry. You're hard bricked. There is no fixing that. Your only option is to get it replaced if it is still under warranty. If you don't have a warranty, it is now an expensive lesson on why we always say read, read, read, read.....
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.
My deepest condolences.. :'(

[Q] Help!! HTC Butterfly x920e won't turn ON

hy all member, I have a problem with my phone..
firstly
I've rooted it using this method --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2101352
and then I instal this ROM --> http://www.romzj.com/resources/default.html?view=rom&id=13930
using twrp 2.3.3 recovery, it instaled successfully and then I reboot my phone.
it stuck at htc white logo, because it take too long time I try to torn it off by press power button for long time but it won't just nav button blinking..
I leave it till dead, in the morning I try to charge it but just orange led blinking for long time..
I've try to press power button for 2mnt or press power + vol down or both of vol button but no lock, the led just turn off but device wont turn on or vibrate..
anyone have a solution?? please... thanks
Charge it on laptop for a few hours, I remember there was a trick like this for the One X when I had a similar problem. Hold the power button and after 8-10 seconds the phone should vibrate. After a while when you plug it back, it should charge Then turn it on and try to get to fast-boot if possible... then do recovery from RUU if you cant get a rom installed from twrp....
By the way that is an x920e ROM are you sure your phone is not an x920d?

No, mine just shut off while I took an afternoon nap and this trick worked for a while eventually it couldn't detect even sdcard in CWM Recovery and TWRP. My phone had a fried mobo or corrupted custom firmware, not sure.... But that was just bad luck, because there was no RUU released at the time for my phone and after a few months I couldn't even boot it to confirm if it was hardware or not. I sold the One X to a friend as is, who got motherboard replaced for about a $100 and new imei but this was in India. Ironically the RUU was released around that time lol.
Anyhow others have done this trick and recovered this is a known problem with some One Xs', mostly happens when battery is too low.

Go to the International Model One X forum, there were a few people with similar problems I'm sure they can help as they have a bigger user base. Sometimes you have to hold the keys longer for it to turn on like 15-20 secs do this after charging for like a day or so.

When I was in India my friend went to a local store the guy changed the motherboard of the One X for about $120 instead of sending to HTC because if it's rooted and they find out they insist on replacing motherboard as it's their policy to have everything returned to default state before sending it back so even if you only have a battery problem they will charge to replace the motherboard.
I heard this on One X forums where a guy got charged for motherboard replacement because it was unlocked/rooted even though he sent to get screen replaced. Ask around if it is still true or if rules changed before you send it to HTC.

No, my friend didn't send to HTC as I said others had that experience, I think my friend's really had a motherboard/flash problem, but since bootloader unlocked warranty was void.
I hope you read the warning before you got the unlock token from HTCDev website, as soon as you accepted terms and got code I believe you voided your warranty.
Did you send your device? Because if you did they may have found out, otherwise they would replace it under warranty.
my HTC BUTTERFLY x920d is not getting switched on.. it was alright a min before ; and all of a sudden its not getting switched on .. the screen is showing no display n looks to be frozen(dead)..if I charge it there shows no light…please somebody help me in fixing the problem … thank you
