Hello everyone.
I live in Russia and use Beeline provider.
Got xt926 from Usa.
The problem is that i can't sent sms, have no mobile internet and the sign showing the strength of network is always grey, also when I'm trying to enter short commands like *102# - no answer.
It happens on all the ROMs except ORIGINAL MOTOROLA FIRMWARE AND ECLIPSE ROM. On all the other ROMs the problem takes place.
I think that's a problem with radio module. Can I get it from ECLIPSE ROM and flash it separately? And how can I do it?

Hi all ,
I have Etsalat ROM (arabic ROM) it's has perfect arabic but the problem with wifi is obtaining ip but unsuccessful
I tried all HoFo kernels and wlan.ko , but no luck.
I can connect by adding ip manual but I have to change ip every time
between home and office and other..
any solution ?
Is this all the time on any network or only with certain networks?

all the time and on any network ,
I can connect on other ROMs auto, but you may know no arabic on them
only this ROM has.
the etisalat rom (As in the service provider) ? IS this a stock or modded rom?
Etisalat is provider in UAE , and I use it with STC in ( KSA), also I have STC ROM (same etisalat ver) but I removed it because no market on it .
note: Etisalat and STC are the first providers has android (htc magic) on middle east.
Correct me if I'm wrong,
Basically you have flashed a stock rom from another carrier to your phone. So you should be going to that carrier for help with problems on their rom however, they probably aren't going to help you because you aren't on their network and have flashed a rom.
If this is the case, I can't really help you. Although I would suggest trying other roms (without arabic support) to see if they also have the problem. If they do then its your phone/network. If they don't then its the rom. Barring advice from others, if the roms at fault I'd probably try to make my own by taking a rom with working wifi and adding arabic. Or taking the arabic rom and adding wifi mods from another rom.

I tried 5 ROMs and wifi is working, and also tring to add arabic on other ROMs but
only I got arabic fonts but difficult to reading (spaces between letters )
also I changed the kernel an wlan.ko but same it is ,not connecting auto.

Does anyone know, if it is possible to flash a MZ604(UK, German etc) Wifi Only Rom on a MZ600 Verizon Wifi+3g device?
- If yes, do I need to look my device again to reiceive updates or is it even possible to receive updates after the flash?
- If no, can I use another rom instead?
I'm asking that because I'm living in Europe do not need the UMTS chip, it wouldn't work either and the system now is in english only. That's not a problem for me but for my dad, thus I want to make him happy

I don't know exactly for the UK, German etc based roms, but I do know that for the US based Wi-Fi only based roms, they work flawlessly on my Wi-Fi + 3g Xoom at this present time.
First of all, I searched... A LOT. But, anyway, I couldn't find the answer for my primary problem on my brazilian Optimus 3D.
There's a lot of brazilian fellows who could install a variety of custom roms and get network signals just fine, based on v21e, v21c and others (the only official gb here is v20a, witch means tons of ghost calls). But the problem is that it seems that I'm the only one living in a city and with a carrier that uses 850 MHz frequency for 3G, witch means... no foreign basebands for me, my friends.
As I said, I searched, and searched, and couldn't find the answer for my problem. Sorry if there is one out there, but I couldn't find, even if I visit this forum daily since july. Soooo, if any of you are willing to help this poor guy struck on a faulty froyo, please, be my guest. =D

On first boot, the phone wouldn't connect to the network.

So I installed the Promethius Kernel and haven't had any ghost calls since.

According to some sites I have seen, in the State that I live (Santa Catarina) my carrier (TIM) only operates at 850MHz.
I use 3G here regularly, so I guess it works.

I tried yesterday but network couldn't work. I don't know if I did something wrong, so I'm gonna try again tonight. Things were much more easy quen I had the Optimus Me, that didn't have all this baseband thing. =(

I just got rid of my LG o2x (finally) and today got my skyrocket i727 from AT&T and I have a few problems.
I use it in Chile, with my carrier "CLARO"
tethering doesn't work, when I activate it I get a message "mobile data is not available or invalid SIM"
somebody knows a definitive solution to this?, I don't want to freeze the tethering manager process everytime I need to use tethering.
is there a "skyrocket samsung official ROM"? or I have to use the AT&T rom?
in the second case, wich custom rom is the most stable or less modified? (I need a full stable phone, I work with it)
PS: please don't kill me , I already searchin the forum and I can't find an answer.

I have been using AOCP Collective ROM and it works fine. I use my tethering in regular basis and never had problem and it is 4.1.2 Sometimes you need to try all the ROMs that your phone will work the best! For me, happens to be Collective ROM.. Good Luck

I'm using a Samsung Galaxsy S3 LTE i9305 and it has been working flawlessly in Australia on a stock and custom ROM.
I'm currently travelling in the US and I have purchased a T-Mobile prepaid SIM. After inserting the new SIM I have been able to get a edge network connection and making phone calls works fine. However, ive only been able to get a Edge data connection, no 2G, 3G or 4G. This occurs in all locations, I have been in 4 major cities and it is the same.
I called T-Mobile and we checked all the settings. They were unable to find anything wrong and escalated my issue to the 3rd level team. I'm waiting to hear from them. In the mean time I have tried the following wihout succes. The phone is running cyogenmod 10.2 Nightly, I upgraded this to the latest 11.x Nightly and the result was no network connection at all. Furthermore after the upgrade I was not able to enter any APN settings, it was as if no SIM was insirted. Next I tried downgrading to Cyogenmod 10.1 Stable release and the result was the same. Finally I tried installing Paranoid Android 3.99 RC1 and again same result, no network at all.
Im running out of ideas. My next move is to try a stock rom but I hope I can avoid it because it is a large download and I have no access to a computer. What do you guys think could be causing it?

What is your radio version ? Is yours International version ?
