In MX player the phone doesn't play videos in H/W mode, nor does the default player plays it.
Processor:MTK6589W-M
The phone can't even play the videos recorded form it's own camera.
Help me.

When I play some downloaded 720P Videos，there's no problem when playing,but when quit playing,sometimes the player will stuck.And the device will not play this file again even you restart the player.

just got this a few days running stock JB 4.1.1 and yesterday these problem came up
video on youtube was fine at first then after playing next youtube video it wont play the video and no sound, after that i checked the stock video player and dice player it wont play any of my videos including the samsung demo videos also. i had to restart the tablet and it can play again.
then today it happened again this time while playing a video on dice player, after selecting another movie it says cannot play video, and i tried every video including samsung demo vid and wont play also... and i had to restart the device again which is an inconvenience.
so far this problem happens at leasat once a day since it first happened yesterday...
i dont if any of u guys had this similar problem
Try to wipe data, cache partition, dalvik cache with custom cwm and then reflash your ROM.

hmm i didn't try the camera while it cant play any video's, ill do that when it happens again.
I'm having a problem with video playback in general on my Lenovo A820 with Android 4.1.2. All video plays back slowly, video & audio seem to stay synced, it's just very very slow. This happens in Hulu, Netflix, Bloomberg, any app that plays streaming video. I haven't tried any locally stored video yet.
The problem is occurring on both the stock rom (with CWM recovery) and on a custom rom.

I have searched and searched but the only threads I've found related are for older phones with gingerbread. Other than this the phone works just fine.

I cannot play videos with the stock video player. Not a big deal right? Just use VLC or MX player, which is fine for videos --> but this is affecting Snapchat as well. If I record a snap video, it records fine, but when it starts to play back it CANT and I get a "cannot play this video" error.
If I open up my camera and shoot a video, if I want to play it back using stock video player I get 'cannot play this video" but if I use VLC or MX player, it plays fine.
I think the stock video player is broken and its affecting my snapchats, what do I do?

Go to settings > Developer options > turn on USE NUPLAYER (experimental) option. It is located at the bottom of the settings under Media.
I had the same issue with stock gallery, because I had it turned off.

I have Moto G(3rd Gen), It's a Marshmallow android version 6.0. I try to play certain video which I want to watch but another video starts playing. Even when I choose some other video, then the same one plays again and again. This happens when I play videos using motorola gallery via Mx player. If a play video using BS player, VLC, etc. then this problem doesn't occurs. But I am addicted to MX player. And I want it to work properly. Please help me!!
