If you have new hboot (2.00.002) and you are S-OFF, it means your phone has hardware S-OFF, using XTC clip. You don't have to unlock it. You can do right about everything with your phone without unlocking it.
So why is this

Try 'fastboot oem unlock'
Some first gen phone's were s-off to start with. Don't quote me on that, I'm guessing.

Because s-off/s-on and locked/unlocked are 2 different things. Trust me being s-off'ed by xtc clip is more then enough, you can install anything you want. I have a phone like that. Don't unlock, there is no need for that. You can flash any RUU if you want so and still stay s-off and then flash any custom rom, and then RUU again... I've done that all more then once.

Since your phone already is s-off,
You can root it now using a tool like superoneclick or something else.
Sent from my Desire S using XDA App
Agree with the above.
What I personaly did is installed latest RUU 2.10.401.9 just to have the latest hboot and radio (since I have xtc clip s-off, I stayed s-off). Then rooted it with one click tool, flashed latest 4ext recovery and installed my favorite custom rom.

Is it necessary to take nandroid backup before rooting or we can simply backup our appz

If it's already s-off, root it with superoneclick, install recovery like 4ext or cwm, backup everything and flash roms like it's going crazy.

I guess you unlocked your bootloader first and then performed SOff which inturn locked your bootloader again. As you are sOff you can flash universal firmware and patched hboot.

Yes it's normal
It's just that you didn't flashed a patched hboot like juopunutbear/revolutionary hboot
Normally when you do soff.. At the end the tool will ask you whether you want a patched hboot.. Probably you said no for it.. Or in some cases flashing that will fail

Moonshine is the fastest and safest way to s-off. The script runs itself and tells you of something is wrong.

Ya I did I ment to say if you where on 4.1 but it don't matter know
You could try running a stock custom Rom or download a ruu and do moonshine and no if your phone is listed in moonshine you won't have to supercid for s-off

Based on your hboot, radio and being on t-mo, i guess you're most probably have to use moonshine to s-off..

Facepalm should do it. Just carefully follow the instructions in the OP and you'll have s-off in no time. The instructions are fairly simple, you just have to copy and paste all the commands to avoid issues from misspelling..
Please read and this is not my work.

After that, i downloaded 0.5.0 but that time it gave another error which says please update rumrunner version from rumrunner.us.
Then i downloaded the 0.5.0 again to be sure, moreover completely delete adb and rumrunner folder from my pc, but still the same.
You told me to use linux version. Is it possible to use it from my windows pc?
