Deadly Sto(R)m - I notice your prompt dump says you're using version 0.3.0 - have you tried the newest rumrunner version (version 0.5.0) available at rumrunner.us?I was able to S-Off my x920D HBOOT 1.54 using the linux version of 0.5.0; I did get a problem at the same place you did the first time, but it was because I was missing the root access request on the phone when it ran the ADB test.

After that, i downloaded 0.5.0 but that time it gave another error which says please update rumrunner version from rumrunner.us.
Then i downloaded the 0.5.0 again to be sure, moreover completely delete adb and rumrunner folder from my pc, but still the same.
You told me to use linux version. Is it possible to use it from my windows pc?

Things to do:
Make sure to connect phone directly into the usb on the back of the pc do not use hubs
Make sure your rooted
Fastboot under power is unchecked
Usb debugging is checked and dev options is turned on
HTC sync manager is uninstalled
Htc drivers are installed and fastboot folder is ready to go
Use preferred Windows 7 not Windows 8
To seal the rooting deal install busy box

How do I upgrade HBoot in my predicament?

Well as everyone know I'm new here to the HTC One XL forums and I was reading up on AOSP roms and heard you need to upgrade to 2.14 hboot in order for touch screen to work, same with Sense 5 4.2.2 Rom ......
My phones details
Current Rom - KickDroid XL
Hboot - 1.09, s-offed, HTC dev unlock, superCID ....
I received the phone like this from a friend cause I asked him to do this for me cause I don't have a computer at the moment..... So is there anyway I can upgrade Hboot without pc?

Moonshine is the fastest and safest way to s-off. The script runs itself and tells you of something is wrong.

Ya I did I ment to say if you where on 4.1 but it don't matter know
You could try running a stock custom Rom or download a ruu and do moonshine and no if your phone is listed in moonshine you won't have to supercid for s-off

Facepalm should do it. Just carefully follow the instructions in the OP and you'll have s-off in no time. The instructions are fairly simple, you just have to copy and paste all the commands to avoid issues from misspelling..
