NFL Game Pass - Android General

Here is the APK for the NFL Game Pass service. The service is available outside the USA and its territories. This APK is for both phones and tablets (10"). I don't know if it will work on other sized tablets, but you're welcome to try. Here is the Android Play page on it: linky.

NFL Game Pass 4.1219--add support for new Pro Bowl Teams, general bug fixes and enhancements, and performance improvements
2016
NFL Game Pass 7.0809--updated for 2016 season. Updated August 10, 2016
This APK does not give free access to any content. It's just the APK for those who have the service, but unable to get the Android mobile app.
On a side note, you may need to uninstall any previous versions installed prior to installing updated versions. I had to do this occasionally because playback acting funky after Google Play applied update.\
Here is video of the service running on Galaxy Note II (SPH-L900). I was trying out an experimental app for Chromecast screen mirroring and comparing to local cable television.
video Chromecast support with NFL GamePass. Video isn't great, but shows enough.

perfect! works awesome on my nexus4. thanks.

With NFL game pass can you watch live games or only replays? I found NFL game pass rewind info. I would def purchase this as I am an eagles fan, but local stations are NY, so I miss a few games a season.

Yes, it does both live games and replays. Think of it as Sunday Ticket online with Game Rewind combined. This service is ONLY available outside the USA and it's territories. Here's last year's promo video
this is from last year, but this is using the PC
this is an overview from 2011 on my Evo4G. The app has a different look and easier navigation, but the function is still the same.
As for the rest, to have all games through the Superbowl (season plus) it's running $200 right now. It usually goes up about $50 during or right after week 1 or the regular season. The trick, you need an IP outside of the USA to use the service, which is another cost that can run anyway from $8 to $15 per month. This will help you understand the process. It's old, but still on point. : linky. This also holds true for various sports services. On the mobile, depending on the sport, you may need to do what the link discusses or GPS spoof or both.
Since I'm a bit of sports junky, but the almost cut the cord completely, I only have limited basic cable, I have had to find alternatives to watch the local teams; some sports completely because they're not on channels I get.
Hopefully that helps you out.

I opened a free Mega account to upload and share the APKs. I updated the links accordingly.

I couldn't wait for his response so I did the whole fake Google Play account & VPN route...

Sorry about that. Somehow I had a line break at the end of the link, which caused the need to input the encryption code. It's fixed now, and you shouldn't need to. All you have to do is accept the the TOS and it should automatically start downloading. I confirmed the link on both my laptop and GN2, and neither asked for the key.

Just question, anyone else have any playback issues using the mobile app? It works fine my ASUS Transformer Infinity Pad (10" Android tablet). Unfortunately, on my Galaxy Note 2 (Sprint) playback is horrible. It's like someone put it on fast forward for both audio and video. When it catches up to whatever point, it stops. Then I have hit the full screen on/off toggle to resume and continues the fast forward. I know when it's going to do this, because the when the video goes to initially play, it's a black screen, and I have to hit the full screen toggle for the video to start.
When it does this, I have to uninstall the app, boot into the recovery and clear the cache and davick memory, then reinstall it. Annoying to say the least. I updated TWRP today, and not that is not working, but I don't know if that's why that method isn't working. But prior to that, I had to do it every time I started the app if it had been a day since I last used it. I use the app almost every day on either the tablet or phone.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a pattern to when it does this. It did this on both versions I posted. I saw on Google Play, some of the reviewers were having playback issues as well. The previous version worked very well.
I'm going to do some other experiments tomorrow before I write the NFL on it. But I wanted to see what others are experiencing.

Service is $135 for Season. You get games, NFL network + Redzone. NFL Preseason Life Blows...NFL Game Pass, just use http://www.unblock-us.com/ ($5/month) to pick a country besides US.
wfi, pick modify creditials then advanced options Then Change DNS #1 to 208.122.23.22 then DNS#2 208.122.23.23 thew Save, reboot. Go to http://www.unblock-us.com/ and pick the country.UK & Ireland & Cananda have Some restrictions

Thanks for the reply. I've actually been using the service for going on four years. It's a really good service. And I actually pay on annual fee for a VPN service because I use it all year round.
As for the VPN, I prefer Europe, but just outside the UK or somewhere in Asia. UK and Ireland do have a few games that are blacked out, and no playoffs. Canada doesn't get the NFL Network or playoffs. I'm not questioning your pricing. I signed into a UK server and the price I gave was for the season plus, which is everything you listed. The $135 is to follow just one team. That said, some regions had different pricing. I find the UK gives the pricing for most regions.
As for my issue, it was a video playback issue. So, I was wanting to know if others were having it too. If so, then it just wasn't me. Still could be a device. Heck maybe even a bad download. As it would have it, I redownloaded using my home ISP versus the cellular network. And it seems to be working well. I just want to wait another day or two to see what happens. If nothing, then I think I was getting a bad download and will replace the file I uploaded.

Great response. I was just mentioning the pricing in case someone didnt know. Im in US, but was lookibg for directv alternative since directv doest even get all games and then you get blackout of any games in your region, unpess you use location spoofer but thats a pain at times. I was using UK. I was just giving the heads up on restrictions which you explained, thank you. I only wanted regular season for fantasy football purposes. I get nfl network app with my cable.provider (verizon fios, but no redzone). Now that I paid the $135 USD, I get all the live games, nfl network & redzone in 1 app. The uk service was showing $205 for the plus(which is the entire season including playoffs & super bowl).... $135 for pre & reg season (no playoffs/super bowl)....$105 for following 1 team. I can imagine if you truly are overseas then 205 being potentially the best option. To each their own....I will see on the video.if im having your issues. I used nfl network tab without issue on the gamepass app. I'm not normally a fan of vpns, since I usually dont have an issue. I am enjoying this one since, I dont have to put a password on my phone inorder to use a vpn(normally I do and its annoying).

I run into that here and there and both my phone and tablet Just open another app that uses the internet, Nefflix and Chrome for example. Let it load and get anything from the internet. Then switch back the Game Pass app. I have no idea, but that solves it for me.

There's only 17 applications in the German Marketplace. That's a bit disappointing, considering they have been advertising their Marketplace among developers for half a year now.
I hope that it gets better soon.
How many are there in other countries?
There appears to be a good few apps on there - more than 17 as I look at it - maybe over 50 (im in the UK).
very few free apps - maybe 3?
I think I will wait until im sure what the situation will be with apps purchased and lost due to ROM flashing. Do you get to download again for free?
In the Netherlands only 4 apps, Microsoft Tag, My Phone, Facebook and 'De Telegraaf' (a Dutch newspaper). A bit disapointing...
Guys,
How do you get the application for it? I'm still using the stock ROM that came with my HD.
Cheers.
Well it not live until tomorrow so any apps are a bonus till then.
Yes, even 50 apps is disappointing. There's some 20-30000 apps for Windows Mobile out there and they could only get 50 of them into their Marketplace within 7 months?
Well... it's not even official yet, so let's wait a bit and see what happens.
Not working for me. The cab downloaded and installed but when trying to launch it searches for an update and informs me:
"We encountered an error while trying to reach the Windows Marketplace server. Would you like to try again?"
Have they switched it off again?
Mine installs but then it cant connect because it says the servers are unavailable. hmmmmm
It's still working here.
Could all of you please tell us what country you are in? That would help a lot.

My crystalball says otherwise .
The market place is still working for me (UK)
The imortant thing is quality not quantity. Obviously it's only just launching and WM isn't as sexy as it used to be, so it was always going to be a quieter launch than we'd hope for. However, I'd rather see an app store with 5,000 quality apps instead of one with 200,000 where there's 542 different "oh look an animated glass of beer" apps, a quarter of the apps are to cover the same OS deficiencies, with ultimately the same core 5,000 quality apps that are now so much harder to find.
That said, WM desperately needs both quality and quantity of games if it and the app store are going to make any real return to consumer level awareness. At least due to the OS's heritage we have an incredibly strong portfolio of productivity apps.
I had that same initial response but it worked when I tried second time around. Hopefully they are trying to load as many apps as possible.
Might be smart to submit an app.

Working in Norway
But only 2 apps. Facebook and Microsoft tag reader
Still working in the UK on T-Mobile.
Just installed MS Tag and the install process is pretty slick and pain free and unobtrusive - thought it was going to launch the usual cab installation interface.
One thing though is that it didn't ask where I would like to install to, Memory or SD Card, hmmm.....
EDIT: Tag reader installed to memory - hope this isn't the case for all apps - there should be an option to set install location.
Pardon my ignorance, but how do you install Marketplace on the HD? I am on T-Mobile UK.
Thanks,

Provided the app is free I will be posting an apk from Titanium as soon as it lands in the market just in case it happens to be restricted to the above devices only. I guess we will see if the app will check build.prop or root access, and also if it will work on Honeycomb/ICS since they don't appear to be supported.

Any progress? None of my devices are eligible. Thanks.
Here is the app from Titanium attached, its inside a zip file to avoid the apk size limit. It doesn't seem to be too strict on unofficial devices as it installed fine on my HP Touchpad with CM9. Unfortunately there is no tablet UI but the stretch to fill screen compatibility mode in ICS works, so tablet users won't be stuck with a tiny app and possibly tiny video. There are no games on now so I can't test video but everything else in the app is smooth. Hopefully it lets rooted devices in, I didn't get any issues launching the app.
Kindle Fire confirmed
Preliminary report is that the app is working great on a stock Kindle Fire. Thank you!
Works well on my Kyocera Echo....UI even looks good with Dual screen mode. Thanks for posting the APK. Paid for the App and then found my device was not support.

I was able to install from the Market just fine on a TF101. No sideloading required. Running CM9 Nightly.

Get the code associated with an account aand log in to the app. After that we will have to see if video works. I will be testing it on my GB stock rooted D3 tonight since there are games on. I expect it to work, I may possibly have to run ota unroot. But what I really want to see is how my ics touchpad with cm9 does. Hopefully video works but I'm not getting my hopes up.

OK the first game has started so here is an update.
Its working through my Droid 3 pretty well. It does not care about root. Video quality isn't the best especially when viewed over HDMI. But at least HDMI output is working even if it looks bad. Be patient when waiting for the game to appear. There will be a commercial first before it lets you in to watch and some black screen in between.
Now my Touchpad. Its running CM9/ICS and its a tablet. When you go to watch the game a browser prompt comes up unlike GB which just starts playing the video. I allowed it to open in the default browser and a flash plugin came up on a ncaa.com page. It played the commercial and then went black. Since the app stops video when it is pushed to the background chances are once the browser appears to play the ad, it never gets the redirect to the live stream.
I was able to use the desktop player on my Touchpad by going to http://www.ncaa.com/mml/player/console.html in the regular ICS browser using a desktop user agent. Once logged in via the flash applet I was able to watch games but the video only worked in full screen. It was a little laggy getting there since this is a big flash applet made for desktops. The video quality looks great though on a tablet and once I got to full screen there was little frame dropping. It may not be that way on lower end tablets though, but this method should work on the Galaxy Nexus. I attached an image of it from my Touchpad.
EDIT: Tried it in Dolphin Browser on my GB Droid 3 and its working okay, dropping frames a bit more than the Touchpad but still watchable.
on my Nexus, i am not able to type in my password in the login box. The characters seem to be overwriting each other. i tried with the normal browser, and dolphin, same result. both using desktop agent. WTF, this app is pissing me off!

Same problem for me. Not a Nexus, but Captivate running CM9 alpha. Probably going to flash to stock until tournament is over. Also same problem on TF101, but if I can't get that to work no big deal. Gotta have it on the phone since I work nights. Pretty sad that they don't support ICS at all. I don't seem to recall app devs having this much of a problem when we went from Froyo to Gingerbread. I guess it goes to show just how much different ICS really is under the hood, and not just a pretty UI.

[NFL MOBILE] Is it possible to "change" location for NFL MOBILE app?

Hello fellow NFL Mobile app users:
Those who use NFL Mobile know that we can watch live local games on Sunday. We also get Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games. Here's the snafu: I cannot watch my team because other games are shown instead. Plus they're 8 hours away and a small town team. Still AFC East. Anyway, is there a way to change my location so Verizon thinks I'm in Buffalo? Our phones are assigned to the local cable box settings on Sundays at both 1 and 4+pm.
I would really appreciate any help. I'm rooted, s-off, running ViperOne M8 and know how to change xml and sql editor files.
Thanks

[Q] Making GTA 3 Offline

Hey there people. I'm completely new to android, well, I'm new to smartphones for that matter.
So right to the point. I want to make GTA 3 (or any REAL game ) work without wifi.
I live in a poorfag country, where it isn't really possible to get online without a contract phone. Not as a student...
I have an Xperia E1, got it yesterday, and managed to install a cracked gta 3 which runs butter smooth. But it has online authentication on launch, therefore I can't play at school, which kinda defeats the point of having the game on my phone.
(The version I got was a lone .apk from 4shared, which installed fine, then, when launched, connected via wi-fi and downloaded the files with a gta3 background pic. Was kinda slow, ~40 kb/s so I don't think it was from the play store.)
Phone isn't rooted, can't find that many results to say it's 100% safe and un-doable to go on with it. Can't afford a new one if bricked.
Someone suggested launching the game at home, then 'alt-tabbing' out of it, move away/turn off wi-fi and play, but after a while it checks for connection again and gives the "Data connection unavailable" screen.
I saw someone on these forums talking about how you could disassemble the apk and remove authentication, or just change it's value to 'true' whether there's wi-fi or not. I'm willing to do *almost* whatever it takes to do that. Does anyone know how to do it ? Where do I start?
I saw apk disassembly programs for rooted phones, but can't you already do that on a PC without having to root your phone ?
Point me to any direction, just help me please.:crying:

Really ? It's that easy for you ?Then why don't you write it down for me ?
I've been searching on google for 2 days!
I've found a Fake Wi-fi connection app, which is not a solution to my problem
and an XDA thread about people wanting to do this kind of stuff, but none try.
It seems that everyone is just fine with games that need constant wi-fi connection, even though they have ZERO online elements.

Please don't take me for an evil pirate who's main purpose is to crack all the games. My first intentions were to buy the game and be done with it, after that I heard that it has authentication, which requires a contract phone with constant internet access, which I don't have.
Not saying I don't pirate movies or music, but I have 24 games in my steam library right now, most of them got paid for, I also own BF3 Premium. DRM doesn't break the game on PC, as most people have wifi/internet at home in 2014, but not on the go. If play store removed DRM, I would not necessarily need piracy to achieve my goal.
Anyway, finally found an actual offline version, but it was extremely hard to find.

Well I've been playing it on airplane mode for a while now, and not once has it stopped me due to a lack of internet connection. I'm guessing it just needs the web connection to authenticate the license once.
I'm not saying you're an evil person, but the intention of this thread was for you to figure out how to play a pirated paid game without paying for it, bottom line... And that's against the rules here.
Is your phone rooted?
gta 3 aulthough can be offline? not?

Not having an internet connection is no excuse to avoid payment of software. The authentication method is one way of stopping people ripping off software, so discussions on its removal are forbidden on XDA.
XDA supports developers, show some respect for the work that's been put into software and purchase it!

How is your experience so far with the Quest ?

Hello!
As you know it is one of the futuristic technologies, Please share your experience so far!
Games - Screen resolution - Sound - ergonomically...etc
Thanks!
The best thing I think I have ever bought! Has a few software quirks but is solid . Especially the tracking(hand, head and your physical location in space). Side loading any APK via Oculas Screen is a god send. My brain has a hard time remembering it not reality. And there a lot of games and apps already via oculas and third-parties. Can't recommend it more. Got to be seen to be believed.
Absolutely love it. I got to test it a while before it was released, and I absolutely knew I needed to have one. Beat Saber is amazing, and everyone that I've shown it to was really impressed.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get robo recall to load, so there seem to be a few bugs waiting to be ironed out (might be because I'm traveling between Europe and the US, and the store had some issues with the location?)
I Must say iv loving the quest so far. coming from a psvr the freedom of no wires is amazing. somebody has already mentioned the sidequest pc app, the helps you upload and download software from your quest, also gives you access to the full android on the quest, so you can link Bluetooth joypads and head phones. my quest also had 5 hidden demos of which 2 still worked this was taking up about 2Gb of storage and i could remove them via the full settings app which i now have access to. i have also loaded on some 3D Movies and find that skybox was the best app to view them, with it, its easy to select SBS or Under/Over and the soundtrack. As for Games Beatsaber already allows for custom tracks using the Questsonginstaller, iv not get over 100 tracks on my quest. and as for emulation, i really like the Virual Boy Emulator of Oculus Go which works perfect on quest in full 3D, but you do need to pair a Bluetooth controller to use it. but its great. As for the normal quest games, Vader Immortal, Face Your Fears 2 and Robo Recall are the main ones iv tried. they are all great, the tracking was great and now been able to do full room scale was a game changer for me. the games make visual compromises to get them working, but still looked good and ran great for me. if a new games was coming to both PSVR and QUEST i would get the quest version not just for the ease of setup and the visual hit was`t that much of a deal for me.
Thats about it, iv loving it so far, there are still a few more quest games i want come payday. If you want to try any of the above things above like me, i recommend looking up a tutorial on youtube and they tend to have all the links you need in the description.
cheers
al
Very cool) Shame that apps from go is not available on quest. Would love to have some apps from go on my quest. Hope we will figure out how to download apps from oculus stores someday.

A fair number of them can actually be pulled via adb and sideloaded on the quest
I was in 2 minds about the quest or the rift s.
so glad i went with this - as if you sideload ALVR its basically a wireless Rift as well. And i have essentially a mobile VR gaming console - i can take it to a field and simply go mad!!
simply love it! jsut need to know how to pair bluetooth gamepads ?
i have created a seperate thread asking this question.

just search for the APK file and OBB if needed
sideload the apk and copy over the OBB (if needed)
I have a very annoying issue. Probably anybody faced it and found a solution.
Sometimes Moss and Robo Recall which I bought in the store ceasing to launch and shows the three dots loader infinitely. It fixes only after reinstalling. So I lost saves every time.

Try using the patched apk and obb files - they work fine for me on robocall
so ironic how the pirate versions work better than the versions you pay for in many cases lol
Memorable experiences?
Exercise.
Eye contact in a porn video. Kind of frightening.
RecRoom paintball.
Chatting to what sounds like a 4 year old in BigScreen.
The pirating warning thread. We don't know this device well and I worry about the messiness of sideloading with a company like Facebook and Oculus. What data do they really have? I'm really looking forward to seeing how this thing is pulled apart.

you bring up a very interesting point with regards to piracy and FB.
You almost think....by making this thing on Android, and making it so easy to register as a developer and sideload apps - they have made it almost too easy to simply sideload games rather than pay some of the exageratingly overpriced tags!
Some of the games are extremely good IMO - namely:
Superhot
Creed
Sairento
Vadar Immortal.
there are many more which are very good also.
Yes the porn is scarey - i have stopped using it for fear of developing expectations in real life which are unattainable looool
So far I am pretty impressed with this headset. One thing I do not like is the head strap that comes with it. Totally ruins the whole experience for me. My HTC Vive is pretty much obsolete compared to the headsets I have now, so I used my 3D printer to print some adapters and put my Vive headstrap with the integrated headphones on my Oculus Quest and it is so much more comfortable. I wish the library for apps and games available were a little more robust, but overall they have some really good games that showcase this headset. Last night I just realized I could turn guardian completely off, so I was able to enjoy playing Red Matter while sitting comfortably in my recliner without my legs activating guardian because I was out of the play area. I did not think I would be enjoying this headset as much as I have been. It's not perfect, but definitely worth what I paid, for what it is.

Hey buddy - if you use sidequest you can sideload all sorts of developer apps.
as you had a Vive i would recommend you use ALVR - this will enable you to use the quest as if it was a Vive or a Rift and play all your PC games with it - and the best thing is it works wirelessly!
Enjoy!!
I have used sidequest to load Root Explorer, Virtual Desktop, and a settings.apk I found for android online, to access some of the extra settings that are initially hidden. Not that there is much you can actually do, with out rooting and/or installing TWRP or something. I tried using Virtual Desktop to use the Quest wirelessly like a Vive or a Rift, but I was not really pleased with the performance, and I had my PC wired directly to the router. I also have a fairly decent PC so I think its more of the app performance than an issue with my PC, which can probably be improved with updates overtime. I was thinking about trying ALVR in the next day or so to see how it is. Virtual Desktop was not bad, but I was hoping to have a little bit better graphics fidelity. I really hope we will get root eventually.

I wouldn't recommend VD to do what you want to do.
ALVR works seemlessly and i can play all my VR PC games on my quest perfectly.
ALVR is not intended as a VD solution - it is specifiacally to use with Steam VR/Oculus and in a sense simply tricks your pc into thinking you have connected a Rift or Vive headset and then displays and lets you play accordingly.
Remember to set the height offset to 15 otherwise it will look like you are on the floor....lol
