[Q] Can I flash Samsung Galaxy R with stock Android 4.1.2 as on SGS2 ? - Samsung Galaxy R i9103

I want to know if I can flash Samsung Galaxy R with stock Android 4.1.2 ROM as on SGS2. I want to buy this Smartphone and I'm curious about this thing. If it is not possible, then you can show me some custom ROMs ( good ones ) that don't have battery issues ( my phone is discharging quickly ). Regards !

If you flash S2 ROM on this mobile you will brick your device...
Just go to Dev forum you can find different Roms based on 4.2.2... If you want battery then use ICS OR GB Roms..

[Q] Samsung galaxy s i9000 noob asking

Hello xda forum! I am new and totally NOOB! I recently bought a galaxy s i9000 from a little research in the forum I decided that I have to root it because I am already having a lot of problems.. I am having now the original firmware from samsung(updated via kies) and I am in version 2.3.3 (basebend version I9000XXJVO and kernel version 2.6.35.7-I9000XWJVI-CL210427 [email protected] #2 ...I have no idea what are those things!!! and build number GINGERBREAD.XWJVI) I want to root it on Ice cream sandwich! It look so cool and fast. but I have no idea how and which rom to choose because I saw 3-4 different in the forum.
So...
1. I want to learn how to root and what do I need.
2. I want your opinions on the ics roms (suggest me whats the best)
3. Is everyone have the same problem with the battery!?
4. If I done this and then I want to take the rom out is it possible?
I really thanks you for your time! and sorry if I created a same post..
more info about my phone (found them with a code):
GT-i9000HKDEUR
PDA I9000XWJVI
PHONE I9000 XXJVO
CSC I9000 XXJV9
Thanks again for everything!!!
1)To root your Galaxy S you can use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682 quick and easy.
2) I personally have not used the ICS roms for SGS but this one seems to be the most stable one around http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398223
3) Battery issues plagued me when I got my SGS as well, I would suggest getting something like Juice Defender off the market it can greatly help out battery life
4) Yes it is possible to go back to stock firmware all you need to do is flash back the stock firmware which you can find through Google.
1)to root my galaxy I used a modded kernel like cf root or semaphore which give you the root permissions and cwm
2)i never tried a ics rom because i'll try one of them when they will become stable, i don't like beta/alpha roms
3)battery isn't very very good...i can arrive till 8 pm normally, but if i start playing, wifi, music...in 4 hours battery is ko
4)yes if you want to take the rom out, you can flash a stock firmware/rom
hope it helps
then tell me how it has gone
thanks guys for your answers..I will think about doing it..and if I have any other question I will ask you...really thanks from your help
I use and still testing the stock ICS and i have to say that you MUST not install it in my experience so far in a week it have some issues. I am a noob too but learning, and this is a very versatil phone to use and manage. Meanwhile i sugest to upgrade to oldEr versions of GINGERBREAD

[Q] Best of both sides ?? Galaxy Note 10.1

Hi, just bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 and was going to flash CM10.1 ... but I saw somewhere that by doing so, I will lose all of Samsung-specific features like S Note, AirView, Multi Window and such ... So my question: should I flash CM10.1 or just find other ROMs which is based on stock Samsung ROM ?? Also, are there any third party apps which provides me with features like Multi-Window/AirView/S Note .... )
Thanks.:fingers-crossed:
Stock Sammy all the way for me .
Collective Edition is my current choice .

Sometimes it's best to stick with what you've got right now. I am more than happy with the "stock" experience at the moment; the only reason I've considered a flash is in hopes of being able to move my apps to the SD.
You can root your tab and get some of the advantages of custom roms while staying totally stock. Root access doesn't mean you have to go custom.

Thank you.

Hi all,
I have currently installed ICS CM9 (Dhiru) on my SL i9003. There are a few issues ( tethering, Camera) which make me think of returning back to Gingerbread.

Why back to GB! Why not upgrade to JB of loSco's qwerty rom or Xgamers rom of Lolation?? These r good enough for daily usage..

I want to downgrade to gingerbread too, for app development purpose. As far as I know the android gingerbread emulator won't support gle20 and google play services, so I have to test it on a physical gingerbread.
agree there are great ROMs available for i9003. but if u still want to go to 2.3.6 , follow the

Always prefer stock..that's the official and best version no matter what phone u have..And don't ask what stock or custom rom to use -_- (XDA rules )

[Q] Are Cyanogenmod safe and fast?

i've a rooted samsung galaxy fit GT-S5670 device on which i recently flashed some custom stock rom like Jana. But it made my device slow so i moved on to other Stock rom.
I've heard a lot about Cyanogenmod based rom and wanted to flash one of them, but i read somewhere on xda that Cyanogem mode are not compatible with some SIM and eats a lot of RAM.
I'm confused now and want to know the fact about it. Please suggest me some good stable and fast CyanogenMod for my G-fit with the links.
Any other tip you may want to give me.
Thanks,
Official latest (simple & fast) Cyanogenmod7's can be downloaded from this link:
S5670 Cyanogenmod7 Official
Tip: U need to flash Google apps separately as these roms doesn't have g-apps.
Hope this helps...!!

Cm 7 is one of the fastest ROMs available for galaxy fit, cm 9 & 10 are battery draining and a bit slow, cm 11 (currently in alpha stage) is fast and I get very good battery backup with it :good: you can initially go for cm 7 since its bug free, has everything working and supports everything (i mean swap, sd-ext mount etc), creeds ROM 4 is also a decent rom, its fast and has inbuilt governer upto 806 Mhz but after installing loads of apps, it becomes a bit laggy...
