[Q] Xolo Q700(mediatek 6589)---Battery drop from 97% to 1% !!!!!!! - General Questions and Answers

NO kidding.
97% to 1%. That is what happened to my battery level after I rebooted my phone. This is my replaced phone that i got from service center and the previous one was also suffering from this condition.
What the hell is wrong.
I have tried this:
Drained battery till it turned off and recharged to 100%.
deleted battery stats.
used an called Battery for calibration.
Note: I have read almost every thread regarding this problem and i am posting this thread thinking that this might be related to this specific phone because nothing else works.
SO anyone?

Go for Nokia Battery

Your Battery is gone, Use Nokia BL5C with empty spaces filled with thick cardboards so that battery doesnt shifts position. It'll give you half of the original battery life though its only 1020mAH, while batteries available in market are waste of money, they wont even give you fourth of the talktime original one gave.

[Q] Weird battery issue

This may sound weird but I'm having an issue with my battery reading 100% for too long. I was on CM7 RC2 and then RC4 and the battery percent would drop evenly. I leave the phone on over night because I'm on call 24/7 at work and in the morning the battery would read around 93% with RC2 or RC4.
I went back to the stock rom last night because the navigation on those two RC's is a bit messed up and I noticed that my phone in the morning was still reading 100% battery.
The problem with this is, I know it's obviously not fully charged, but the green light still comes on right away when plugged in because I guess it thinks it's fully charged. Is there anyway to get an even battery drop with the stock rom?
Your battery stats are a little off, that's all. There are posts all over xda on how to recondition and recalibrate your battery. Just find a good guide and follow it, you'll be back to normal in no time.

Thanks for the info! What I could find said to charge to full, delete battery stats and then run until the phone turned off by itself and then charge to full again. I'm currently doing that now so hopefully I'll noticed a difference.
I've read that there is a possibility letting it die completely damages the battery (something about crystals forming). I usually just run it to 1% just in case the above is true, but other than that you got it. I would have told you, but I'd just state steps, this way hopefully you got a little extra info from people with more knowledge than myself.

[Q] Power Issue.. Please Help!

Hi all,
There's this problem with my phone that everytime I charge it, it takes an elongated time to do so. This issue first emerged when I was on stock GB after a minor OTA update which added the power saver toggle to the quick settings menu..The problem is that it takes about 4-5 hours to fully charge the phone, and if I rebooted in the middle of charging when it's about 70% or 80%, it suddenly shows that the phone is fully charged, and the indicator becomes green! But afterwards the battery drains as quickly!
Now I have S-Off and using ARHD 6.6.3 ROM, but it seems the problem persists ..I wiped battery stats as soon as I flashed the ROM as well..Although it's not a problem I cannot live with, it's annoying enough when it happens.
Can someone please help me? And suggest me what to do?

its common thing...the battery calibration is not proper that's all...
also you need to wipe stats once you charge your phone to 100%
then battery will try to calibrate ...and after 3-4 full complete cycles (100-0 and 0-100)
the battery will settle..
the battery drain will be there ...whenever you flash a rom or flash a kernel....battery only settles atleast after 2 full cycles
EDIT: also download currentwidget from market..as the name says its a widget..so you will see it in widgets once you installed it...this will give you more proper reading of battery...when you plug your phone to charge...and when current widget reads 0mah then your battery is charged completely...(it might take a long time to read 0mah...but charge it until you see 0mah)..then wipe the battery stats...so after this battery calibration will be proper
Also the sudden jump of battery percentage is due to improper battery calibration
so dont worry you got no problem
So
I read somewhere that you are not supposed to let the phone go to zero because it could cause your phone to not power back on anymore..is this fact. I couldn't find where I read it to back and read again. Mine has been doing some weird things as well...the led turns green before it is 100% and it goes from 100% and drops to like 89% out of no where.

when i meant 100%-0% means until your phone turns off due to less power..it might not(or won't be) be 0% then
as i told you that kind of jumps are common ...in my case it went to 60% to 100% when i rebooted ...also the dropping used to be in large scale too

[Q] Wrong battery percentage shown

Hey people,
I am running Android 5.1 with root and I have some problems with my battery percentage shown. It's probably wrong. I had 30% after a few hours of doing nothing with it, then I restarted the phone to see if it is an issue and it is. After my restart I just had 8%. I did another restart still 8%. After 30 Minutes in which I also did nothing with my phone the battery percentage came up to 21% percent. How can I fix that issue? Is my battery cracked?

Reads like your battery has had it. Try calibrating it first. (Think there is a guide in the battery thread.) Battery replacement is dead easy to do yourself and batteries are about £10 UK eBay.

I can´t find it, if anyone know how to calibrate the N5 please write it here. I searched at google and found various methods to do it. However I am thinking to buy another battery as well but I am not sure which shop sells the original battery and which not. Do you know a good shop at ebay or somewhere else which sells an original battery?

Oneplus One Battery discharge even when completely switched off

From past 1 month I'm having a hard time with my 1+1, I started experience heavy battery drain during stand by around 35-45% over night (aprox7-8hrs) I thought the battery has come to end of its life so I ordered a new battery for 1+1 and replaced it myself. But guess what I'm still facing the same issue overnight the battery drains 35-45% even when the phone is completely turned off. What's happening I don't really understand. I also tried charging the battery to 100% and removed it from 1+1 and left it for a day and when I popped it back in it was holding the battery very well it was 99%. It is only draining when I connect it to the phone the battery starts draining again. Is there anybody who can help me with this issue.? I really like this phone that I don't want to buy any other phone right now.

Ya but I cant I purchased it last year around June even before it was launched in my Country. So have to try to fix it myself
Hey hello..
I pity you.. Btw even I have similar problem.. I know how it feels.. The battery used to last 2 days easily and now merely pulls a day.. Same 35% battery drop even when I have it switched off.. I have tried almost all ROM's in vain.. Only thing I can tel you is, try charging the phone overnight and discharge completely before charging it again.. repeat this for 3 to 4 times.. This trick worked out of nowhere for me.. But again now after 10 days, it has gone to the state of not holding juice longer.. I am at a loss to understand what is wrong..
PS.. Do lemme know if you find a way out of this..

Google pixel 1 (5") depletes as it charges.

Basically my Google pixel has been having these issues since January/Feb
But the phone refused to fully charge it would stop at 98% and the battery wouldn't last long at all I used to get 4h screen on time and have like 20% left now I get 2h 22m with the replacement device that Google gave me.
I have had the device replaced four times, yes four. And I have tried to charge the device with no data on it and no email. So it would be a fair test.
With this, the fourth device, it charges, then reaches 100% then depletes while in the charger and not being used and so it has 97% after.
The device lasts no where near as long as it should and when I take it out of the charger in the morning it drops from 97% to 92% with 5 mins of use.
Google are now telling to replace it again. I am using the official charger.
Someone please advise me!
This is happening to my Pixel too. Also when battery has like 25% left, the phone suddenly power off, and it won't turn on until i charge it. When it boots, the battery indicator shows 1%. Truly weird. Idk if it's a software issue, a battery issue or wth is it. Hope somebody has a solution
Both of these sound like bad batteries.
@Zikohh, you're probably being given refurbished phones as replacements, and they don't have a new battery. I recommend you suggest them to pay for a battery replacement, rather than change the device again.

hopefully they will agree. Four replacements had the same behaviour. And yes they are all refurbs.

Two things try to update (may security update) and if not any better and you haven't already - try a factory reset my camera app caused similar stuff and a factory reset fixed it. But if you tried once don't bother just try updating it.
