I got my digitizer off, but Im having issues with finding the proper version. I have an FPC-1 Rev:3, but all I can find is the FPC-1 Rev:2. Does it matter? Please help, I want to have this before school starts in a month
Can someone please help? I really need to find this out soon
I have the same problem wonder what to do. Did you buy the rev 2 yet?

Yes I did, and it worked. The one thing Ill tell you, is make sure when you are removing the old digitizer from the mounting frame, you use a hairdryer. Its got some pretty strong adhessive on the other side
I have done digitizers on all kinds of phones, my poor tablet has me stumped. I can't believe getting it out was easier than finding a new one!
Can anyone identify this and point me in the right direction?

Looks like the v0.2 version of the digitizer, you can find a lot of them on ebay. Cheaper than the Rev2/3, lucky you

didn't find any. only v.0.1 available
So, after not finding any v.02's for a decent price I went with a v.01 after some reading about compatibility. It worked without issue even with the knock off screen. It seems to be more responsive than the original. I have also not had the ghost touches or stutters the original one had.

I tried searching all over googleverse and youtube but not luck on a guide on how to open a G2 to replace a LCD. so this is my last resort at looking for an answer. does anyone have a guide or can tell me that its simple to disassemble the device?
Sadly, I wouldn't think there would be a simple fix to a screen like this, simply because of the hinge, although I could be wrong. What happened to the phone, these things have only been out for like a month.
Maybe OP was doing some durabilitiy test... or he was like his avy and fell off the skateboard crushing it =[
lol no, I was going to buy one off some guy on ebay to fix for my GF but so far no dice on the repair guide.
repair guide? LMAO
i think you're going to have to make your own repair guide
you will be a hero to many
Maybe pm the guy that tore his apart on here. He may have some tips.

What do you think about the screen bezel? I'd love to get it off and have it and the batt cover anodized.
Sadly karma has stricken me for posting in this thread I assume. I had a Zagg Invisibleshield installed, and the "solution" got underneath my screen and has messed it up.
Anyone ever find a replacement for this?
Also I was thinking of calling HTC but figured they wouldnt fix it.
Tear down is here:

BE SUPER CAREFUL WITH THE MICROSD RIBBON CONNECTOR. 2 pins on mine got messed up and now the vibration doesn't work...so be aware/be careful!
http://cgi.ebay.com/TMOBILE-G2-HTC-...Cell_Phones&hash=item35aeb64eae#ht_500wt_1156
Here's one you can use as spare parts/replacement screen. If you do get this, I might want to buy the main-board off you to repair the stupid microSD connector...ugh, still can't believe I broke 2 pins on it!
Thanks!

Me too. I want the HTC logo on the front dammit! Let me know if you find what we're looking for. I already bought the HTC battery cover without the "G2" logo.
Well, my phone was thrown yesterday, and my LCD went out.
When I DroidExplorer onto my phone, Screencasting works.
When I try my hardest, on my actual screen, ive gotten 3 green pixels to show up.
So assuming my LCD is dead, and my digitizer is fine, anyone know where I can actually buy the LCD for the NS4G? and if not, does anyone know if its the same LCD used in the NS?
Any links, advice, or whatever, is extremely appreciated.
I Have no problem with replacing the screen myself, Its a matter of finding the thing.
Thanks again
Nexus s has a super amoled display which means the display, digitizer, and glass are one piece. You can't just buy one part, you have to get the whole thing

Mikel - thank you. I was hoping not to have to spend a hundred on all of it, but if its my only option so be it.
Any idea if the Nexus S and Nexus S 4G Replacement parts are the same?
Esteway - I ride bmx yo! matt sparksss windshield wiper madnesss!
I would assume so. But since I don't have either I can't say for sure. I would search for nexus s 4g screen replacement, and try and find one that specifically is for the ns4g just to be safe

I know this is in the wrong section, but I couldn't find a section for the Memo Pad Smart 10 so I'm asking here as the TF300 seems to have almost identical specs.
First off, I only needed a light duty tablet, I have a GNoteII for my phone so I'm not in need of an expensive powerhouse of a tablet as I only wanted a larger screen for some traveling stuff and what not.
But I would like to be able to root and unlock the bootloader on my new tablet once I get it. But I wasn't sure if there was such a thing already in the works, where I could look for it if it is, or if I could somehow help out by providing data from the device when it arrives at my house tomorrow.
If any Dev's out there wanted info from me I'd be happy to help out as much as I can. I'm by no means capable of doing it myself, but I know how ADB works and such so I would be willing to help.
TIA.

Hey guys, I'm still searching for the original OTG adapter, does anyone mind ti sell his, to me?
how to root the asus memo pad me301t
Hey I was on Toshiba forums and they have a root method. By using motocrunch not the bootloader aspect just the root you can gain root that way. The original link to the convo is http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...est-rooting-guide-me301t-android-4-1-1-a.html

It probably will. Others have had luck restoring root using voodoo ota root keeper. I didn't.
But motochopper rooted me again after the 4.2.1 update.
I'll check for updates when I get home and let you know.

is anyone having any audio playback issues with their memo pad?
when streaming HD video from iPlayer or youtube etc, the audio is out of sync for me, which is really annoying!
Another thread has all the up to date in to on root and bootloader unlock for this device.
I'm going to close this one and link to the other here and in the OP.

I tried to Google for pictures or video guide on how to change the main board - did not find a thing. Can someone here post a video or pictures which will show how to do it and which tools will I need? My new board is on the way and I need to be ready for it.
Back cover is clipped on. Put a finger nail between the glass and the plastic and CAREFULLY split them. Be particularly careful around openings. Once the cover is off, there is a copper heat sync that is held on by adhesive to 3 chips. Pull it off. Then you'll need a very small Phillips screwdriver, and some patience to unplug everything and unscrew the board. All-in-all, not too hard...just take your time.

Read through this thread; look at post # 87 for details. Remember to switch off the motherboard prior to doing anything. See p. 15 of this thread. Remember: easy does it. Good luck, but above all, have fun.
Thanks! It should arrive today. Hope it will work
Ok, changed the main-board, I have a new working tablet! Not unlocked or rooted Its running 4.2.1. Anyway to root it without unlocking?

May I ask why you had to change your mainboard? Just posted a new thread in Q&A but I"m pretty sure it's a hardware issue . Where did you get the main-board? And how much did it cost??

A good idea would also be to completely discharge the tablet before prying it apart. This is just to be safe of touching wires.

So there's someone near me that is selling a OPO with a broken screen for about $100. My question is, should I buy it? I have a nexus 4 right now that works perfectly, but I've been interested in the OPO since it was officially announced. Is it worth spiting out the $100 and then another $118-130 for a replacement screen? That's not even including the cost of labor, that's just eBay prices
Buy it.

I haven't on the OPO specifically but I have on many other phones. It's as easy as building with Legos as long as you have the right tool set. Without the correct tool set, it'll be quite a bit more difficult. If you're confident with getting involved with working on technology, this would be a great place to start and you might learn something. If you aren't comfortable with that you could take it to a cellphone store
Is the screen the only part damaged? How's the motherboard etc?
