Hey guys,
after I started deleting bloatware on my Stock rom (4.1.2 build 11.2.A.0.31) I accidentially deleted Conversations.apk, now I know its the SMS app. After that I got chompSMS as replacement but though it seems to work properly I cant receive SMS. I can still send SMS.
So my question is: Does someone know where the bug is?
Can someone please post a stock Conversations.apk????
greez
GO SMS FTW!!

Hi,
I recently installed handcent on my phone and deleted the original messaging app through titanium backup (thinking i'd backed it up but hadn't).
I can send mms fine but can't receive mms?
Using stock android 2.2
Anyone else had a similar problem?
How would I install original messaging app without a backup?
Any help would be appreciated

Hey all.
I have a little problem with Stock ICS on my SE LwW. Sometimes when I send someone a text message it always says "Sending... " until I receive message from that person or reboot my phone. How to fix it? On custom ROMs this bug is fixed.
Use pc companion and do a repair phone this might help u out!

Reflash your ROM. Wiping data or factory reset wont solve this seeing as the apk would have been in /system and not /data

i tried reflashing the rom and got the message app back but now when i open the message app this error comes up 'unfortunately messaging has stopped working;
i'll try the apk you gave evilmastr and report back
In Go Sms there is a check box for if you have deleted the stock app and want go sms to do that job. Find it and check it and that should fix you.

Google Voice
Have you tried using the Google Voice app? There is a setting that allows GV to be the default messaging app. I like the GV app better than the stock message app anyway.
I deleted two of my stock app; T-Mobile TV, and EA Games
I deleted those cuz i thought i didn't need them, soon after I restored my phone, which is a T-Mobile LG G2x Android 2.3.4, and then my google app didn't update like the other apps on my phone did. i really don't like that old google app cuz it was for the old version, anyway to get the update?
Yesterday I installed CM11 on my Xperia L. Everything was working fine, except facebook and facebook messsenger. Both of the apps had problems signing in. How can I resolve this issue, because I am tired of the stock rom draining my battery and CM12 is too laggy for me.
Does anyone have the same problem? I tried all CM11 based roms and facebook/messenger work on none of them.
Bumping the thread... Can somebody who is on CM11 rom please check and tell me whether facebook and facebook messenger work for them?
Try going to Settings>Apps>Facebook/Messenger and clear data for both of them. If that doesn't work then I'm not sure.
Doesn't work... I even tried reinstalling them but no luck with that either. I have absolutely no clue what the problem is.
Have you tried checking to see if it works on your PC? If it works on your PC but not your phone, then sorry but I have no idea.

It is rooted, but currently I am on stock rom. Later I will install CM11 again and I will post a log.
Meanwhile I also tried with CM 12/12.1 and there was no problem with facebook.
