[Q] SD Card / NAND visible in Win 7, not in ADB - General Questions and Answers

A Chara
Have a DesireTab (Android 4.2 Tablet with 9.7 Inch Capacitive Touchscreen (16GB, 1G RAM, 1.5GHz, 3G, Dual Camera, Dual Core, HDMI Out,8000mA)), and am trying to root the device to physically extract the NAND device using DD or DCFLDD.
I am using Windows 7, and have both drives showing in Win Explorer (16Gb NAND, 32Gb SD Card), but when I use ADB DEVICES, it does not pick up the Tab. USB Debugging ON, MTD device used ....
Have loaded Huawei, Alcatel and Nexus successfully .... any ideas why I am getting these symptoms?

Maybe another question;
How do you deal with an Android device that does not respond to ADB? , is it possible to root using Z4ROOT etc ... , and use physical extraction tools from the GUI on the Android Device?
New to this, just looking for opinions

Windows Mobile 5.0 with SDHC 16Gb

I have on my device Windows Mobile 5.0, a Sandisk SDHC8GB with adapter micro/mini SD.
My device read the SDHC8GB, but:
- the available memory displayed on my device is only: 3700 Mb
- My device could only open first 4 Gb files
- the others 4 Gb on my device are visible but not available. If I tap on those files my device isn't able to open it
It's possible with a device with Windows Mobile native 5.0 (without upgrading to WM6.0), to use a Sandisk SDHC16GB with adapter micro/mini SD?
If yes, in wich way?
please, I really need your help
Thank you

You can get Android to run on some Windows Phone-based phones but not vice versa, usually missing features or stability due to lack of hardware documentation. (I came from a device running xdandroid...)
Android kernels can be modified to run on new hardware, Windows Phone devices cannot since they are closed-source.

[Q] Can anyone help me understand differences between GT2 10.1 and any HTC devices?

I'm unfamiliar with Samsung's tools. I have all HTC
devices, A BB Flyer (7" Wi-fi on Honeycomb),
an original Incredible on GB and a Rezound on GB.
All are presently s-off. I understand how to use
adb and fastboot utilities from the SDK. With HTC
one just either fastboot flashs partitions or puts
a specially named zip file in the root of the
external sd card and boot to the boot loader
and follow prompts.
How does one get the device in the same state
and what tools are used to do the flashing?
I saw someone had suggested formatting the
external card ext3, is that supported by the boot
loader for rom flashing? On HTC it has to be fat32
for the boot loader to recognize it.
I need an ICS tablet with an external microsd slot
(preferably sdxc (64gb) compatible) with a front
camera (for Skype) that is rootable. :fingers-crossed:
Either 7" or 10.1" is okay, as long as it has the
the above features.
On Samsung devices, a program called ODIN is used for flashing custom recoveries, so nearly all samsung devices are easily rootable. Also, I don't know if this tab supports ext3, I just use fat32.

This did not work
I think its because of lack of communication
The usb ports on the mini pc are (host only) ports so there is no communication
Also there is no way to boot into recovery mode because of the lack of vol -- + buttons plus the power button is not even a real power button
Its a sleep button.
Is there a way with mini pcs to use a keyboard to boot into recovery mode because if i can im sure i can get it to flash a cwm recovery rom and a su rom va sd card.
my only hope is the keyboard keys but i need to find out what keys will use the same effect as vol -- +
