[Q] list of 4.1.2 AOSP kernels? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I'm not asking which is the best kernel, I'm just asking for a simple list.

Do you mean 4.2.2? They are all in the original dev section: Leankernel, KT747, Faux, DKP, BMS, and Faux. I believe LK, DKP, and BMS receive the most frequent AOSP updates. If you meant 4.1.2 AOSP, upgrade to 4.2.2.

I don't believe there is...everyone's hit the non kexec train....there a better kernel IMO.they're overclock able many govners and vtage tweaks to b had...

So imo's leankernel for touchwiz is the only non kexec one for our phone? The stock kernel seems to out perform the leankernel v.22. Battery life and over all performance is better on stock kernel. I guess I just want more choices. I don't find any benefit in overclockibg either. The dual core 1.5 ghz is fast enough. Cleanrom makes it even faster.

Lol. No he means IMO as "In My Opinion". Imoseyon is a kexec kernel. Currently there is no non kexec kernels.
Edit: I believe that Ziggy's new kernel in the latest Synergy is non kexec but idk if it plays nice with other roms.

Lean Kernel is non-kexec.

Huh? The first line says it's a kexec kernel??
Edit: Nvm. Didn't know he had a new kernel out. 0.1 is kexec and 0.2.2 is non kexec.

Its better than a plain black guide.... color coding is for visually indetifying with an association. The mind is a terrible thing, it doesnt respond to things with 0 stimulus.

[Q] Kernal

I have installed CarbonRom 1.1. I notice that my kernal is a UCLB3. Is that the ideal one for the 4.2.2? Not much of a techie but do like to tinker. Thanks.
All the ICS and JB kernels are based on UCLB3. Use the one recommended by the ROM Dev.

[Q] GS3 VZW 4.2.2 Kernel

Does anyone know of a kernel that can overclock a verizon GS3 running AOSP 4.2.2? I've been looking around and have been having a hard time finding one. I'm CarbonROM v1.7. Any help is much appreciated! :good:
Leankernel, kt747, and several others in the development and original development sections.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Pretty much all have overclocking capabilities.
Can you maybe link me? Because on the ktweaker thread for GS3 VZW I only see a 4.2 download and on the leankernel on rootzwiki it just says jellybean. I've hard bricked 3 GS3's from being unsure so so that's why I'm trying to be so thourough

read, read, read, read, read, read.
its not difficult. match the type of kernel for the rom youre trying to run.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1853816
how much more simple can it be? Its labeled 4.2 kernel.
not trying to be rude, but cmon man.
I know I realize I sound stupid, but you're saying a 4.2 kernel will work the same for a 4.2.2 kernel? If that's true then didn't know that l.. Really sorry
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
not a problem, i could see the confusion.
wasnt trying to be a d*ck, i thought everyone operated under that assumption.
4.2.1 is not the current source that people use, so 4.2.2 is sometimes labeled 4.2.
touchwiz is abbreviated as TW.
No its cool I've just bricked 3 phones so I need to extra cautious even if I sound dumb but thanks for the direct answer!

What kernels support LiquidSmooth for the Verizon S3?

I tried it, and I loved it but I can't seem to find options of kernels I can use?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
All aosp kernels work with all aosp Roms.
Unless it's a 4.3 kernel. Liquid smooth needs a 4.2.2 AOSP kernel. Some of the AOSP kernel developers have moved on to 4.3, but will tell you which version of their kernel you need in their thread

Which ROM did you flash first?

I'm sure by now many of you have probably flashed over a dozen roms on your S3. But I am curious to know, what rom did everyone start out with first?
cyanogenmod 9 back when we needed kexec.
Liquidsmooth.. And stikk running LS

Hyperdrive RLS16 and still running it hope for up date but every thing work great on this ver.
BoneStock 3.4 (4.1.2) -> MOAR (4.3) -> CleanROM 8.0 -> CleanROM 8.1 -> LiquidSmooth 3.0 (4.4.2).

CleanRom 2 or 3, just after bootloader unlock was first obtained.

Lol I can't remember which one I flashed first, it's been too long.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
I started out with Cleanrom way back, been through CM11, MIUI, & Alliance. Couldn't stay on the AOSP roms as my signal was way worse. Right now i'm on Mostly Stock by oldnslow, works great and no issues.
Think the first thing I flashed was PAC back a while ago, was an amazing ROM

Beanstalk is solid for KK roms. There's a ton for 4.3 that are also solid. I prefer Wicked Sensations on 4.3 myself
