Hi today I had heating issues with the new 4.2.2 rom, before rooting and after rooting.
Now with cpu control I saw it work on 99% load the whole time, I rebooted and it's gone now.
like 2% battery in 10 minutes. So yes maybe this version has a bug.
I'm still hoping for CM 10.x because we also don't have camera control on lockscreen if you use PIN to unlock.
bye
I have no problem with battery drain. Also not with over heating. But the lockscreen problem its also by me.

For heating issue, the phone is extra hot when charging than usual, probably because of the SetCPU app incompatibility issue with 4.2.2 (1200mhz all the time).
For battery drain, yea as mentioned above, 1200mhz all the time...
Overally, we need a better kernel for this 4.2.2.
If it is really a cpu problem u can underclock ur cpu or use an another govener. But for this ur phone has to be rooted

Yes I changed the governer to conservative / noop. I am on the lookout for this bug, it has not returned yet. I had it twice, before and after rooting. I don't know what program is doing this, if it happens now I can see what is doing it.
It's a bug in the rom.
Hmm if i can get my pc running again is would start searching too. But at the moment i have so problems with my network drivers and ndiswrapper xD

I have flashed 4.2.2 two days ago, I haven't experienced any battery and/or heating issues as of late.
I've found that sometimes when you opened the gallery app and done some photo viewing and thing like that with the gallery, it stayes at 25-50% running cpu in the background. I don't know what I've done because sometimes it's just normal. It stops when you fully close the app.

Hey guys......... don't blame the new software update released by SAMSUNG. I HAVE NO PROBLEM AT ALL. NO HEATING ISSUE, NO BATTERY DRAIN ISSUE...... NOTHING LIKE THAT. I THINK OTHER PEOPLE WHO DON'T OWN S2+ ARE DOING THIS.

Actually i do have an s2+ and noticed that my phone was heating up quite a bit and started to drain battery a bit.
What i found was that gallery was syncing all my photos with google+, and i didn't want my photos being on g+ even as a backup.
So i switched the autobackip and sync fo photos off and problem solved
Sent from my GT-I9105P using xda app-developers app
Hahaha relax relax
This auto sync features suck. It even downloads all the pictures from cloud storage or social media

Ahhann........ so that was syncing issue. Great to know that you are out of that heating problem.

My battery drains so fast it's not even funny. I went to sleep at 11PM with battery on 85% I woke up at 8AM and phone was totally discharged. I can't show you my bbs screen right now because I have no stats on it right now but it looks like AudioOut_2 does it It was saying 10%/h so yea.
Is there a fix for it someone plz help i used greenify to hibernate powerAMP i freezed play music i have no other music players i didn't use youtube
or any app making sounds also i found something called sound fx so i disabled it but firstly this was like 3%/h but now its 10%/h and that is not what anyone would like to see. If there is some fix other than wipeing everything and reflashing rom i would be really happy.
I have huawei u8850 cm 10.1, 16gb kingston sdcard,
Hit the wrong button first of all you have something that is out of control my first suggestion is to get an app from the play store like CPU spy or similar and run it for a day to see what is causing the drain I would almost bet that you have a rouge app that is doing this. If you restored any thing with data this is where I would start

What kernel do u use?
Maybe it's the kernel.
I don't think it's kernel because i have no big kernel wakelocks but i could be wrong. also there was a new update for my rom which said it has battery fix but when i flashed my phone never gone to deep sleep when i looked to kernel wakelocks in that rom there was 1 wakelock that was never letting my phone sleep. so i tried searching for solution to my biggest wakelock which is gtalk_async_con_com.google.android.gsf.gtalkservice.androidendpoint and connectivity service which both said about an hour. should i flash the new rom and tell you what was the biggest wakelock?

So i flashed the new version of the rom and 1 kernel wakelock called msm_serial_hs_dma is preventing my phon from deep sleep my phone is on 2 hours and it's preventing my phone from sleep 2 hours. I tried to find fix but only thing i found was this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786981. And i have no idea what the heck did i read there.so yes it's something with kernel but no other person was saying the same thing as me. They say it really fixed they're battery life. but the battery life I have now is like 4% an hour it's not really that bad but no that good. Also people say the wakelock is somthing with bluetooth but i didn't turn on bluetooth a long time now.
In the store try an app called CPU sleeper it makes the phone sleep when the screen is off may be this will help

Ok firstly i told before that i have bbs and there is this kernel wakelock called msm_serial_hs_dma that is waking my phone about 95% of the time. And my battery is built-in my phone . but i calibrated my battery and i hope it will get better. Also thanks everyone for trying to help me.
im using lenovo p770 (rooted) and runs with jelly bean. my problem was. every time a reset my phone my battery drains from 5-10% . yes i know it is normal but. do u have any ways to atleast decrease the percentage?. i tried start up manager and others but i dont think they work. or do u think my battery is just miscalibrated? thanks
Yeah calibrate the battery and see what happens. There's an app in the play store for it but I think you may need root. If that doesn't work than you need to replace the battery.

If That's Normal. Then Live with it.
anyway ask the same device holder if they are faceing the Problem
thanks for your generous reply.
do u think battery calibration by memo really works? so far that i read it doesnt work
the same unit holders are speechless on other forums. haha
anyways thanks
I don't think that is supposed to be normal lol. I can see you losing 2-3 % but 5-10 is way to much. For me it works in some cases.

That app is pure snake oil. The simple fact is that an app cannot calibrate your battery.

Hello, on my Onda v971 tablet running Android 4.2.2, the battery drain is quite obvious (-120%/hour) if you leave the screen and use it moderately (browsing web, youtube, etc.) However, if you leave it idle, it is quite battery friendly (battery usage of about -1.1%/hour). I searched a bit on the web and I hear people saying that it was the ROM that caused the problem. In fact, many people experienced similar issue after upgraded to 4.2.2 no matter what devices they're using. Therefore, I took a snapshot of the battery usage screen and I found that the Screen occupies a great portion in the overall battery consumption. However, on my Note running 4.1.2, I saw that the screen occupies a much less portion in the battery usage. So, here are question that arised;
- Is the battery drain caused by the Android 4.2.2 version of the ROM?
- Is the battery drain caused by the screen?
- The Screen occupies a greater portion in the Battery usage in the case of the tablet than in the case of the Note 2 because a tablet has a bigger screen than the phone or because of it is running Android 4.2.2?
Thanks.
Its obvious I need to change my kernel and ROM now but I can't find a descent 1 lol hopefully the best 1 does not void my warranty thumbs crossed <--- purposely done

Root/flashing won't void your warranty as long as you are able to keep your binary count = 0.

Better switch back to the old rom (Stock Rom), it happened with me 2.
I am using the stock ROM that comes with it since there are very few or maybe even none of custom ROM for it.
Are you using any kind of custom ROM? Is it base on 4.2.2?

This is what you need
Default Maintenance Build
After talking with Scott about some Infuse issues there was only one memory related change between 4.2.2 and 4.3.x. I was advised to remove this change and rebuild and test. Myself and a couple others have been running this build for the last few days and it seems to me that there is definitely an improvement.
BeanStalk-4.3.1015-20131104-infuse4g.zip - 177.07 MB
There are no new Beanstalk features in this build, it is basically the same one you are running now with the one memory related change but I would still do a full wipe before flashing.
Thanks to Scott for the advice, don't forget to show your love to scott.hart.bti and donate to his diaper fund.
.....almost forgot, I put CWM v6.0.4.4 in this build
