I am having problems installing the update.zip file to my Moto Droid. When I am in recovery mode and select "apply sdcard:update.zip" the following comes up on the screen

Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:EOCD marker ooccurs after start of ECOD
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I have tried deleting and re-copying the update.zip file and tried applying it again with no luck. Every time it comes up with the same message.
This is my first time rooting a device so I lack knowledge about these things.

Could someone point me in the right direction for downloading the latest Android OS update? I'm currently running FRF83 on my rooted N1. When I select the "Restart and Install" option, it boots and says there is no signature and aborts.
Hm. I just downloaded a file named update-nexusone-FRF91-root-signed.zip, renamed it to update.zip and flashed it, but my phone still says it's running FRF83. I wish I knew what I was doing…

I rooted my samsung Galaxy Tab and downloaded rom manager and when i try to install Clockworkmod it goes

Any ideas on how i can fix that?

I Had the same happen with my SGS 19000 I flashed back to 2.2.1 and used CF-Root I found the info on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108

I get phone with red square and question mark, I'm using vol-up and power and:

That error mean you dont have the correct system version (3.32.401.5_R) installed. More likely you have 3.32.401.5 (without the _R) so you either need to download the 3.32.401.5_R RUU from Football's Shipped ROM collection thread or you need to download the 3.33.401.6 RUU from the same thread

I'm a newbie at flashing, but not a newbie with computers.
I'm trying to flash CM 11S v1.5 but have run into numerous issues. I'm running CWM, have updated bootloader (HHZ11K), and my drivers are on point.
Right now, I'm trying to have it install from the zip in the root directory, and it won't install:
"E:Can't open ... (bad)
Installation aborted."
If I toggle signature verification, it says:
"Finding update package ...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:footer is wrong
E:signature verification failed"
What am I doing wrong?

So I have a Sony Xperia Z3 and i'm trying to flash Xposed framework for Android Lollipop (I run CM12 nightlies) but it fails to flash because it can't verify the signature, I understand I need to turn off signature verification but because the CM12 recovery mode is so basic at the moment, I don't see any option to do so.
Any way to do it through Android itself?

This should be able to turn off the verification in TWRP
Is there a way I can load the image while in SD Card? Because I loaded the recovery and it can only read Zip files @gregbradley
