The phone has a 1.2Ghz quadcore processor, 512MB Ram, accompanied by a MTK6589 Chipset and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. The thing that really sets the Qmobile Noir A500 apart from other similar spec smart-phones in the market is that it gave Antutu benchmark score of 13500+, which is amazing since it has only 512mb ram. It has a regular FWVGA 4.5” LCD screen with 240dpi.
ROOTING METHOD ( check below)
STOCK BOOT.IMG AND RECOVERY.IMG ( Check Post no.4 )
CWM RECOVERY ( Check Post no.5 )
For Qmobile Noir A500 Users
Finally found a root method for Qmobile Noir A500 Users. 100% Working. Its a root method for rooting most of the media Tek devices.
The files you’ll need:
1)Download and Install MTK Drivers
2)Auto Root Files
What to do:
1.Make sure USB debugging is enabled. Go to settings > developer options > enable USB debugging
2.Download AND Install MTK Drivers
3.Extract the MTK6589 Auto Root folder from the .rar download
4.Connect your phone to PC visa USB
5.Run run.bat from the extracted MTK6589 Auto Root folder
6.Press any key and wait while it roots your phone
7.After finished, now reboot
8.Bam, you’re rooted. Verify root with a ‘Root Checker’ app from Play, or run any app you know requires root and you should see a root permissions request
Note:
If the driver doesnt get installed automatically you will have to install it manually through Device manager. Actually its a driver of Cynus T1 but don't worry, just install it and go ahead. :fingers-crossed:

then it means you are not following the steps carefully! :fingers-crossed: have you installed the driver provided in the thread and your USB debuging is enable???
I had rooted my Qmobile noir A500 successfully with this method!

It is for those guys who had messed up with there stock boot and recovery images! You can flash it using SP Flash Tool. or any another method which you know. I will make a complete guide/instructions in the future for those who dont know how to flash these, Until you can search the xda forum or google it how to flash it.

FLASH THIS CWM RECOVERY.IMG USING SP FLASH TOOL
Intructions
1)Download this recovery.img
2)Turn of your phone.
3)Open the SP Flash tool
4)Load the scatter file and recovery.img
5)Press the download button
6)Now connect the phone.
7)After the Green Circle sying ok remove the phone.
Now to enter the recovery Press power and Vol+ button together until recovery is infront of you.

Well I had mistakenly flashed Noir A20 recovery in my A500 due to which i was unable to enter the recovery but after i created the CWM recovery using the MTK Droid Tool it works perfectly. The best part of this method which I like the most is that it patches your boot.img! :victory: I hope you can get rid of your problem now using this recovery. :highfive:
I will try it.. My phone is still witht he service centre.. it was not even detecting my sim cards after I ran the Huwaiwai G520 recovery.. lets see whats happens.

how to fix please...... i m tightly stuck..... at bootloop. my qmobile a500 mkt6589 only shows qmobile logo all time long....it does not boot normally or into recovery...

i have tried several recovery found incpak and other websites and forums... reported be for mtk6589 processors.... but none of them worked...

Have you tried flashing the stock recovery from this thread??? Try to restore the stock boot.img and recovery.img using sp flash tool.

to me it seems as if no recovery gets flashed with sp flash tool, to confirm this i did whole flash as guided by HAMSAM at incpak.com and then flashed flashed everything, boot logo gets flashed every time, but not recovery... day before yesterday, sp flash did happen to flash both recoveries trwp and cwm but at time for som reason i had to take the battery out, once i took it out, a500 has never booted into recovery ever since then.... what to do now?

If you Follow these steps carefully you can easily restore your Stock A500 ROM :angel:
Bro just go to this post and follow instructions:

Then download this backup of A500 and place it in SDcard and flash it via recovery.

what i did was simple i used cwm recovery to install cwm flashable supersu zip
what you need is sp flash tools, latest jellybean update from micromax and cwm recovery flash file
to make it easy you just go through this tutorial posted on droideser for a116

but insted you take everything for a110

PPS: I wanna root only to increase CPU performance, without rooted its under 6k score of antutu benchmark. So I hope rooting will increase performance! ..

2) http://d-h.st/2Hn this is vcom drivers( download it and install it on your pc/laptop)

u messed up simply becoz u had logo selected along with recovery....chk d screenshot////
select recovery only.....then press download

flashing with d help of flash_tool is recommended and quite reliable but u can use d Bin4ry tool if u not accustomed.....

Today again tried to root but again got the same BROM Error. I am following each & every step mentioned in this thread carefully bu still I am getting the same error. May be because I am having official JellyBean ROM from company it is not allowing to root.

I have a xolo a800 . i was able to root it when i got the phone using bin4ary root method as i had ICS on the phone.
However after updating the phone i am not able to rrot the phone using the same method. I do have the recovery image for the xolo a800 but i really dont know how to root the phone. i tried the SP tools method but my phone doesnt do anything after i do the write memory. i guess im missing out on the scattered file and also the hex values.
Can somebody please help me with a step by step method for rooting the xolo a800 with official jellybean update ( not ICS xolo a800).
Im eagerly waiting.

First download the cwm recovery from xda and download mt6577 scattering file. Now download sp flash tool and super user zip file from anywhere and follow the sp tool flashing process. After flashing the recovery through sp flash tool enter recovery \by holding power and vol up and flash the super user zip and you are done

hey siddhartha... this time i was able to use the sp flash tool, however after flashing i get the green circle but then i cant get into recovery.. tried a lot... please, if you can send me screen shots or a step by step procedure of doing the same...

hey kaustav,
To get into recovery mode you have to hold power button and vol up button. And after you are in recovery mode you have to flash the super su zip that i had told you. It will flash and when rebooting the recovery will tell you that The rom will flash stock recovery if you want the stock recovery you press go back and if you want cwm recovery you press yes

i am able to get into the recovery mode. i have flashed the recovery for xolo a800 from the threads avao;able in XDA. , however after getting into the recovery mode i dont have any options.it shows me the recovery screen with an android symbol and an exclamation mark. this is exactly where i get stuck all the time. i do have stored the superuser zip file in my phone memory, however for me to flash the same i need to have options on the recovery screen, which is what im missing..
hope i am flashing the right recovery file... the one that i did was the stock recovery for xolo a800 in the xda threads.
Incase, im going wrong, can you please attach the recovery file for me to cross check....helplessly waiting.

its stuck at the boot logo of xolo and bricked... do you have th stock rom for the phone... please help me as i dont have a phone right now.... !!!!

There's a major bug with this cwm. I tried using it to flash ur xperia rom but both the times my phone got bricked (stuck on the karbonn logo) and a third time when I tried restoring a backup the same happened again and finally I had to take it to service center. I don't know if this happened only to me but still I think there's some problem with this version of cwm and then there's the display problem. I'm not being cynical but just wanna report what happened with me. . Please come up with a solution soon. Thanks.

How to root Karbonn A1+ (Plus)
DOWNLOAD THE APP
Go to settings>Security & enable the install from Unknown Source. (Skip if already enabled)
Open Settings>Application>Development>USB debugging>Enable USB Debugging.(Skip if already enabled)
Download the Z4root app from above link.
Copy it to your phone sdcard.
Install the app.
Open the app&you will be seeing a button "Permanent Root".Press that.
Your phone will autoboot once, & you are done with rooting your karbonn a1 plus.

Yes the service center people did manage to fix it. My device was in warranty and they couldn't detect that the problem was due to my fault so they did that for free.
!!!!

Use vroot. It did the job for me. z4root worked only till s/w 2.0.3 but for later version (2.1.3 which is mine) you need to use vroot. It was the case with me at least.

First of all, use read back to get rom dump (backup) as there is no stock rom available on net.
Go here and follow the guide.
Procedure:
1. Download and install drivers Driver_Auto_Installer_v1.1236.00.7z.
If not working try these too PDAnet_4150.rar.
Problem in installation?? Go here
2. Download and copy/move SuperUser to your memory card.
3. Download any kitkat recovery from here and place it in pc.
4. Open SP Flash tools and load this MT6582_Android_scatter.txt in it. (alternative download link of sp flash tools)
5. Click on 'recovery' in sp flash tools and select the downloaded Recovery .
6. Click Download in sp flash tools, remove the battery from phone and connect it to pc.
A green circle/download ok will confirm flashing.
7. Insert battery and press volume up+down+power on, then press volume up to select recovery.
Note: in ctr recovery you can swipe right to go forward and swipe back to go backward, use it to navigate, save volume buttons.
8. Tap on install from sd card and swipe right on screen to go forward, select "superuser.zip" and say yes to flash.
9. Reboot, Done.
In case any one wants working MTK droid tools, here or here

Can you try to port cwm to micromax unite 2 a106 ??
I heard that bootloader is locked and we need to replace boot.img as well with unlocked bootloader.
I tried to flash boot.img and recovery.img but getting 8038 error in SP flash tool, I used v1344, do you have any idea about this error?
Though I would try with latest version of SP Flash Tool and post the result.

Don't mix this guide with some other.
This is working 100% there is no need of any mtk droid unlocked or something boot.img.
I will not help if you had followed any other guide and asking help from me, as i don't know what you had done and what not.
If you had followed only this guide properly, you must had got ctr recovery + root access.
Follow any guide over the internet but never mix things up and ask all the devs for help.

Before you guys shoot me down, Just wanted to say, i searched XDA for 2 hours, couldn't find the exact reply. And a few topics are open since a year with no reply, So thinking that someone will reply to me. I am opening this "Need Help" Ticket.
I have a micromax a110 with 4.04 - as i got no update ever! So what i did was
Rooted the phone properly as per the procedure.

After flashing the rom properly, when i reboot the phone, it gets stuck on the boot screen forever. Am i doing something wrong? Should i have flashed a kernel? or something. Please note, i am not looking into going back to stock, as i have moved into the dark side of the root world .

I have a micromax a110 with 4.04 - as i got no update ever! So what i did was
Rooted the phone properly as per the procedure.

After flashing the rom properly, when i reboot the phone, it gets stuck on the boot screen forever. Am i doing something wrong? Should i have flashed a kernel? or something. Please note, i am not looking into going back to stock, as i have moved into the dark side of the root world .
Since i have just been a Read-only user of XDA for all this while(more than a year), with no posts ever, i cant request for help on the Developer Thread as it requires privileges. That Recovery you flashed is SELinux enabled and is not supported by 4.1-4.2.2 Jelly bean Roms so you have got boot loop . You can try other recovery or flash higher android version roms .

And remember before flashing anything clear data,cache and dalvik-cache.

How to i put the CMW in the phones root directory now for it to flash? The phone doesnt start so cant access it through usb. Any ideas?

Since your phone is not booting you should use SP Flash tool on PC to flash the recovery. Here's a guide to SP Flash tool:

Thanks dude, for your quick response. I wont be able to confirm on this today as setting up SP Flash tool is just too hard. It talks about some scatter file. I dont know how to make that.Let me get a grip on that, will confirm then. Thanks for the help anyhow

Great , Here the link for official Jelly bean update for your device by micromax as said in that post . I think that file has scatter file (it contains your phone's storage partition info ) . There is also guide to flash using SP Flash tool . Use it .

Hey shreyas,
I have tried it with SP tools, it doesnt work, man. Drivers, Softwares, updated all of them, i keep doing everything. I know i am doing something wrong, but its hard to identify, spent like the entire night trying to make it. Can't i get a flashable zip for CMW instead or know that on which rom did the CWM selinux work on? This boot looping is now killing :fingers-crossed:
Finally, i found a way, thanks 4Shreyas for all the help. Gave me knowledge and helped me identify the errors.
I couldn't flash the rom or the cmw recvoery through the pc as the drivers for SP tools never worked on my Win 8.1 x64. Finally applied the stock jellybean file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160609 . It updated my CMW since that was the problem i was stuck in bootloop.
After that i flash the phone with my desired rom.
In the end, all good:laugh:

Cheers bro !!!! Yes getting MTK drivers in win 8 is a challenging task and as SELinux CWM recovery is concerned you can flash 4.3.x and 4.4.x roms . Google it , if any rom is available then use that recovery to flash those roms .

True that, i actually gave up trying to find the drivers. There arnt any 4.3 or 4.4.x roms released for mmx. When they do, will surely apply the Selinux CWM. Thanks for all the help .:good:
