Is there a calendar app with widget (or just a standalone widget) that allows the widget to be aligned to the right side of the screen, instead of the default left?
Have been looking and searching, but no such luck yet.
I'm not sure I understood your request, but try business calendar.
Try Resizable CalWidget
thanks guys. tried all of these, but none seem to be able to have the words justified to the right. all are left-justified

Hi guys,
I just got froyo on my desire, so no htc sense for me, which is not such an issue as i didn't really use any of the htc sense stuff, except people widget. Now, I can't seem to find a similar replacement on the market.
Does anyone know of a simple people widget that works the same way as the htc one?
Cheers
you wont find anything as pretty as the sense widgets but if your looking just for the function try contacts sidebar it works for me
i just tried contacts sidebar, and its good but it only has 4 contacts. Does anyone know of a widget where I can choose a "group" of contacts such as "favorites (starred)" and it shows them in a list. I don't really care if the contacts are scrollable like the htc people widget, as long as I can show more than 4 and i can scroll through them with an arrow or something like that.
Also, it would be nice if i can just choose the starred contacts and not have to select contacts manually.

People/contact widget. Type Sagrebin in the marketplace. They have a free trial and a paid widgets. Exact copy
actually i found this app called speeddialer. pretty much everything i was looking for. its a 1x4 widget and you can add as many contacts as you like. only downside is that it will ONLY do the default action for that contact, which is more than good enough for me right now
thanks all for your replies.
I can't seem to find any good quality scrollable widgets. I realize most home screens do not support this, but it appears that Launcher Pro Beta does have the option to enable scrollable widgets now.
There are a few applications that I think would be VERY useful with scrollable widgets and wondering if anyone has run across these or any developers that would want to take on this project.
1. Calender application. A scrollable calender (Android Agenda Widget?) would be awesome.
2. An application dock that allows you to scroll through an application list.
Any ideas as to why these things have been developed or if people are working on them?
Email/SMS/Facebook/Twitter scrollable widgets would also be useful.
I'd like to know of one scrollable widget so I could test it out tbh
Pure Messenger widget supports scrolling.
Yeah I hope development picks up on this for sure. Pure messenger is pretty sick.... But it needs friends!
Agenda, contacts, google reader ap anyone?
Sent from my Droid using XDA App

did you try sliding the launcherpro "dock" to the side already? don't if that's what you want
I do like the new dock on the bottom and how you can add more shortcuts.
And like Trill said, a google RSS reader with a scrollable widget would be amazing. Or how about a slickdeals scrollable widget. Or sports scores scrollable widget. Soooo many options!
I suppose you could use Flyscreen for all of that... Although it seems to cause more delays unlocking the more widgets are loaded.
Hey everyone!
I'm a huge fan of the Zune Home launcher, I love its look and interface. The one thing I really miss though is access to a few widgets. I don't use too many, but I'd really like to be able to use Power Control along with a couple others.
If you aren't familiar with Zune Home, its just one screen with a scrollable list of sections (email, internet, photos, apps) and a side column of your favorite apps. There's no room for widgets here (nor would I want them right there on the main screen) and its only the one screen, no left or right aux screens.
A workaround I thought of is somehow putting a shortcut or app in the quick launch that leads to a page of widgets. I tried searching around for "widget page app" and many versions of that idea, but as you might guess, it's really hard to search for.
Any ideas?
tl;dr Is there any app that simply brings up a blank page that you can fill with widgets?
Thanks!
try searching the market for powerstrip or quickdesk or smart-taskbar
QuickDesk is absolutely perfect! Thank you!
I am looking for Agenda/Calender and Bookmark widgets like the ones on HTC Sense. I have tryed Launcher Pro Plus widgets but I don't want to use LP on my TF. I have also tryed Pure Grid Calendar widget w/Sense skin but it is buggy and isn't scrollable on my TF..The Calender n Bookmark widget on the TF are small and pathetic.
If anyone can recommend a good Agenda/Calender and Bookmark widget that is scrollable and works as smooth as the Sense or LP ones please let me know! Thanks
I'm quite a fan of touch calendar - the paid version has the widgets that you can set to display x number of upcoming/past weeks in a given widget size. It's not scrollable directly from the widget, but you can specify clicking on the widget to either add a new event or see the full calendar. The pinch zoom on the calendar app itself is very nice, and I've found it superior to agenda-type views. You can try the app itself out for free, then decide if you want to pay for it to get the widget.
I don't use a bookmark widget, but live bookmarks is supposed to be pretty good and HTC like (note, it's a live folder, not a widget)

I will give those a try, thank you for your suggestions...Greatly Appreciated!
I don't know of any widgets to do this, but I suggest not buying anything. 3.1 has support for re-sizable widgets, should be pushed out in June.

Looking forward to that update for sure, wish they would also add the option of removing/renaming App shortcut names leaving just the icon on your homepage like LP.

May in fact (just) ... due 31/05 .... in other words sometime in the next 24 hours and 46 minutes
Hi all. I have been looking for a very simple and not too large SMS Widget that I could place on WidgetLocker. Since I could not find any that would fit my needs (especially only being 4x1 max), I created one on my own.
I would like you to install this widget if you were looking for the same thing and kindly ask you to give me some feedback, what you would expect, or what could be improved.
Currently, the widget displays all SMS that it finds. This is planned to be only unread SMS. But I thought for testing purpose it's easier like this. The idea is to fully hide the widget once no unread sms are here (just looks better in WidgetLocker).
Features (v0.1.0):
automatic monitoring of SMS
hide the widget, if there are no sms.
Browse all sms
Automatically scroll Names.
Will display the currently displayed sms throughout all widgets (if you browse, all the widgets show the same sms).
Planned Features / Improvements
Easier button pushing
Auto scroll of text
Basic configuration (colors, disabling of features)
Themes for widget.
Mark SMS as read from widget
Delete SMS from widget.
Project page: http://code.google.com/p/messagewidget/
Many thanks in advance!
PS: Since this is my first android app, I was not even sure, if I signed it correctly and so on, so please be a bit patient!
