A friend of mine tried to root his lg optimus 3d max, but it somehow failed.
He didn't bring it to me as he should
Now i can clean up his mess, but ok..
For starters, i don't have experience with lg and it's possible problems.
I only used samsung so far, and did not had the oppertunity yet to play with other brands and models.
That's why i hope you can tell me what to do
The problem:
It seems to be bricked, the lg logo keeps coming up, for about 2 seconds, and it's stays in boot loop.
The pc can connect to it,but not restore,because it keeps on rebooting, even while restoring seems to start smooth, at 4% of the recovey process, it disconnects itself.
This is with lg suite, and lg flash tool / UpTestEX_mod2_marwin, all of them are stuck at 4%
I can put it in s/w mode, but then the pc will not recognize it.
The usb drivers are ok, otherwise he could not start the upgrade process of course.
Do you have an idea how i can un-brick and root my friends phone?
Wouldt be nice to give him a working, and possibly rooted phone as he would like to have that.

I think Karim Kahale's unbrick guide covers the Max. It is in Optimus general section, I think.

I recently rooted my LG optimus black and installed ur fabulous update for ICS...My only issue is the camera is no more functional, so is it a issue in the update released or is it because of improper installation on my phone.

i'm really sad for my mobile phone (LG Optimus Me p350). I did something wrong (thanks to ROM Manager Pro) and can't load. If i turn up the phone, just there is logo LG and all 4 software buttons are flashing!.. :'( I can't go to the recovery mode, too. I can't do anything. PLEASE HELP!!!:///
Hello there, am new user for android also for this site . when i try to install DSP manager for my phone(LG optimus chic(E720b)) by following one tutorial from this site, my phone becomes on boot loop( stuck on LG logo). To solve this i try to flash using "KDZ_FW_UPD.exe" but unfortunately i use wrong "v10a_00.kdz" file(from 4shared.com) this make my android phone totally dead, my PC won't recognize it, no charging, totally bricked
i try to google it but all are are not applicable for my phone.
So if u have any help i will really appreciate. I want my Phone badly. please...

I need help i keep looking and googling but nothing for me i tryed to flash t mobiles cloudy rom on my att lg g3 now its bricked good i tryed lg flash tools i get failed i have no recovery mode no nothing just a black screen every now and then when the battery dies and i plug it in it will show the charging for a sec the it makes nose when i plug it in the pc lets me change the port to 41 idk help

Well you stated your own problem it won't work because you flashed D851 on a D850. You'll need to use a hex editor on the tot file to be able to get it to flash.

i have a lg p720 3d max with 2.3.6gb software. I have a lg p720 3d max with software 2.3.6gb. but as google no longer worked i wiped the factory data but when i rebooted it was stuck on unofficial reset clockwordmod i tried all ways to restore it cin flashtool and others but since i can't go into fastboot mode in any way i have it smartphone locked I hope there is a solution I think the phone thanks to those who can suggest some solution I would be sorry if it was not the phone even if it was old it worked well and had some peculiarities that are not there today.
