[Q] Xloud or similar for CM 10.1 based rom ? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I'm looking for a solution to increase notification, headphones and overall system output volume on CM 10.1 based rom. I was happily using Volume+ but it no longer seems to work with JB 4.2.2. :crying:
Has anyone had any chance with xloud or similar ?
BTW I'm currently running last version of Baked with 3.0 kernel. Thanks

You could try Viper4android, I think that's system wide.

thanks man. Viper4Android does boost overall volumes ?

Yeah it has different settings for external speaker, headphones etc. It's been a while since I used it though.

I've noticed though that no volume increasing mods work for the 3.4 kernel but might just be me. You could always try it and see what happens. You will know it doesnt work if the volume cuts lower after a song but comes back on the next song lol. I tried viper4android and xloud and dspmanager.

I'm actually still on 3.0 kernel. Do you have a link for an xloud version that I could try (could not seem to find anything recent) ?

(Q) Increase the max volume level

Hi,
There is a system to increase the maximum volume level? ....Some videos have the volume low.
I've asus tf with revolver rom RC3.
thanks :cyclops:
with honeycomb we had voodoo sound module at least for headphone output.
Now nothing on hardware/kernel side.
You can try with apps like volume+ but sound may become distorted and in extreme cases you can damage your loudspeakers.
Anyone tried it?
Try volume+ its in the market it boosts volume exponentially

If you really want to and if you have the know how you can do some systemUI.apk mods which can increase volume. In my experience installing Beats Audio also increases volume
+1 to Beats audio, helps alot. Just don't damage the speakers x)
Beats Audio Install = TF101 Bootloop
Any suggestions on how to get out of this? The *only* thing I added was Beats Audio. I was rooted, and the only root-requiring Apps I was running were Adfree and Market Changer...

The only way i found to fix boot loop is reflash an stock ROM using Wheelie or easy flasher
That is pretty much what I did.
Unfortunately, the market changer app is no longer available on Google Play...
Thanks anyway.

AudioX - Louder One X Speaker Output - CWM Flashable

Hi all,
Managed to put the AudioX settings into a flashable CWM.zip file.
Attached is the newest version which I have currently installed:
Disable Tru Bass effect.
Limiter set to 0.150 instead of 0.250
SRS3D Set space to 0.5 instead of 0.800
I decided to leave some of the limiter since having an uncompressed signal can harm the physical speaker.
This tweak means louder speaker output and no Trubass effect which is by default boosting the 400Hz area.
WARNING: I do not take any responsibility for broken speakers etc. When I tried the original edits the volume was so loud the speaker made some crackle noises. If you keep that volume level chances are you will destroy the speaker and then it will crackle even at lower volumes. The new version does have a softer limiter and the volume levels are good so I think the speaker is not in danger.
Attached is the AudioX.zip cwm installable and the Default_Audio_Settings.zip installable. If you don't like the result simply flash the second zip.

Wow. This is one flash that really works well. Major difference in volume now. thanks,
Does this make only the loudspeaker (the one on the back of the phone) louder or will this increase the in-call volume as well? And what about headphones? Thanks in advance.

This one makes the loudspeaker in the back louder, I don't think it affects headphones since it's a different output.
I am not a pro developer, only played around with values that seem familiar and by guessing which is the speaker output compared to the in-call volume (since they have a different compression ratio).

Please use make sure your rom has MUSICBOX. If not, push Noozxoide EIZO-rewire Pro Series (Inluded)
Viper has MusicBox and is what I use.
Flash normally
Reboot the phone and give it a minute to fully load and settle.
Open Google play and install Noozxoide EIZO-rewire Pro Series
Open the app called "MODULE LOADER".
Click on "System Modules"
Find and check "crespo.ko".
CHECK ONLY CRESPO.KO !!
CHECK ONLY CRESPO.KO !!
Click "Save selection". Make sure it says "1 Modules" and hit OK.
Reboot your phone.
To access the bass boost and dynamic range, open Play Music or another music player that doesn't have the equalizer option built-in.
The app is in Chinese, but you don't need to be fluent to know that you're going to be using the two sliders.
First slider is Bass Boost.Second slider is Reverb/Dolby.
The second option in the drop down menu thing is the equalizer.

Test it carefully... It almost destroyed my ear when it failed... Turn the volume low or keep the earphone a bit away from your ear...
This is for I forgot to delete the cynogenlib in the update script. Just delete/or backup libcynogen-dsp.so from soundfx.

It's pretty tricky to test if Beats Audio really worked. You need a speaker to mic cable and some audio analyzing software.

beats works...but only one version and i forgot what ver is it.
Search in photon q forum history - it was my thread.
edit : I have found it
look here:

I use PowerAmp and it let's you mess with the replay gain and has a pre-amp in the equalizer which both increase the headphone volume. Not exactly sure how but I usually tweak both till I find a setting to my liking. On software version 14 and haven't really needed it except to change a particular volume level because the stock ones are in between what I like.
I've been on ASA14 since first time I bought my Photon Q. I think it's so loud and better than my Atrix HD audio output.
Yeah, I use power amp myself...good app, but still looking to increase overall output, the preamp works only to a certain degree. I am searching more for a build.prop edit or app to actually increase output from the system itself, not limited to one particular application. But thanks!

[Sound Mod] BMSound_Full the deep bass for S4 I9500 / I9505

This is a mod based on the libraries Beats, completely replaces audioconfig Smart, does not increase the volume (and other fashion), only the sound quality.
With third-party players who themselves process the sound and ignore the system settings (such as poveraimp) not working (it will work if you turn off this processing in the player settings) as BeatsEQ this system EQ it works with system applications and change the sound when listening to Music, Video, WEB (Internet), BLUETOOTH, and other audio streams system.
Installation CWM
Put on a clean system.
4.2.2 ODEX / DEODEX
Backup before installing.
Backup is the only way to roll .
(a lot of files , and then pull them out of the firmware problem , especially as some stock is replaced.)
