"Your warranty is now void. We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at any of us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Collectively, and at the same time."

Have not posted them yet waiting on testers to get back with me.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, i feel real stupid .. hahah :'(

I apologize and know what I messed up. I am recompiling it as I type and will send pm's with links again. Bare with me this is my first skyrocket build. If you flash cvd's kernel it should boot fine. But I am redoing. This would not have happened if I had the device.

Everything seems great so far. Smooth and snappy. Will test all functions and get back asap.

FROM DEVELOPER: MAZDA [AND A HUGE THANKS TO HIM]
This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). This was originally made out of pure boredom and for personal use. After sharing it with a few people, we decided to take it a step further and turn it into something special while still having fun. Since then we've decided to share this ROM with the community and have ported it over to several devices to include the GNEX, Nexus 4, HTC One, Note 2, EVO 3D and much more! (AND NOW THE SKYROCKET!!!!)
**""NOTE""**
I "Deliberate" take no credit for the creation of this project! I am in no way part of "TEAM DIRT" or do i claim to be! This, for now, is an unofficial port that MAZDA (the creator) allowed me to post this for u guys! Do not make a port of this without his permission!!!! THANK YOU AND ENJOY!!!! THIS HAS A TON OF FEATURES!!!!
Since we do not take ANY credit for the original code used in this ROM we would like to give credit and just say thanks to all the teams and individuals that have helped us in one way or another!

GAPPS
Q - Do I have to wipe before flashing??
A - YES, even if you're coming from a previous version of this ROM.
Q - I flashed (Insert kernel name) and now I'm having an issue, what should I do?
A - You can do one of two things. First one is to wipe everything and flash the ROM again and stick with the stock kernel. Everything was tested on the stock kernel and aside from what's under known issues, everything works as it should. The other thing is to find the developer of the kernel and report the bug/issue to them. Not trying to sound nasty or be rude BUT I can't and won't provide support for every kernel.
Q - I flashed the ROM and now I have an issue, what should I do?
A - Don't freak out! Pull a logcat and paste it on to pastebin and provide me a link in the thread to it. Along with the logcat, please provide me with as much information as possible. Things that you would think could help me fix this issue.....i.e what kernel you're running, what happened, what did you prior to the bug/issue.
Q - How do I pull a logcat?
A - Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238
Q - I see (Insert developer name) has fixed this or has added this feature, are you going to do the same?
A - NO! No disrespect to that developer but I have not and will not keep up with what other developers are doing.
Q - I hate Google Voice and want to use Sprint VVM, where can I find it?
A - Remember, google is always your friend.... http://epicaokp.blogspot.com/2012/05/aokpcm9-fixed-sprint-visual-voicemail.html
Q - Is it OK to ask for ETA's?
A - Unlike other developers (no disrespect to them) I have no issues with people asking for ETA's but PLEASE keep in mind this. I'm horrible at keeping deadlines when I give out ETA's for fixes or features or updates. LIFE tends to hit when you least expect it and with that said, I hate to do it because it pisses people off to be told Monday and the update doesn't come til Thursday. So with that said, you can ask for ETA's but is very likely that I will ignore this
Q - How do I change my APN's?
A - Please see this thread for that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40114009

General Information:
This is my continuation of doing AOKP PUB Builds for the Nexus 7. PUB (Project Unicorn Butter) aimed to bring Linaro toolchain and other optimizations to the normal AOKP build. My goal is to simply continue these builds providing releases based off current code. Current builds are using the latest (2013.09) release of the 4.8.2 Toolchain. Builds using O3, strict-aliasing, and other optimizations where applicable.
The original thread for reference:
Stephen.k.spear Orig PUB Builds Thread
Releases:
The target will be weekly builds on the weekend with a build during the week only where needed for bug fixes to be merged or some major change we just can't wait for
There are two Release Types
TYPE 1 is your traditional ROM Flashable zip.
You must flash gapps after flashing this ROM as it can not be included in the ROM zip.
Current Gapps: gapps-jb-20130813
Slim Gapps(needed for full Dark UI functionality): Slim Gapps 4.3 DownloadsTYPE 2 is an Aroma Installer that includes the ROM, latest gapps, and many other options. See Post 2 below for further details.More than likely any middle of the week builds will not get rolled into the Aroma.
Kernel:
I am currently building the tegra3 grouper kernel from google source (stock). It is the kernel that will be installed if you just flash this as is. This is a perfectly fine daily driver, should be stable and safe across all devices.
If you are looking for better battery life, better performance during gaming, or even just more control over various settings at the kernel level then feel free to try one of the other great kernels offered for this device. I will not recommend one, I will recommend you try them all and see which works best for you.
Installation:
Download rom zip and gapps
Reboot to recovery
Wipe cache/dalvik (full wipe when needed)
Flash rom
Flash gapps
Reboot

Optional Inverts:
You can get inverted applications in multiple ways. First I'd recommend going to System Settings and flipping the switch for Dark AOKP.
This will invert many of the core Gapps for you. For any other applications you may want inverted, there are two great threads that will make this trivial for you:
Midnight Gapps Project
Team BlackOut
Thanks:
To the following for allowing their hard work to be included in this aroma:
_motley - KERNEL
morfic - [DER KERNEL] Trinity Seven
faux123 - KERNEL
show-p1984 - Bricked n7 kernel
metallice - M-Kernel
franciscofranco - franco.Kernel
I've included two of my favorite boot animations from here. Go thank Wrixituz for these and check out his others!
of course to amarullz for creating the aroma installer
I know what I'll be flashing soon...
Thanks man!
Running very smooth & fast keep up the great work

I am downloading your newest build now! Thanks! Have been using your PUB builds since Steve went on hiatus and I am thoroughly enjoying them. One problem though, can't seem to find a download link for the new "gapps-jb-20130301-signed". Could you post a link please? Thanks.
Wouldn't mind an inverted Gapps. Never tried it, but kinda curious.

Thanks! Also, since you have switched to the stock tegra Kernel, which kernel would give fastest performance? I liked the faux built inline with Steve's builds. I want pure performance without burning out my device. I play games and watch loss of videos. I guess I'm looking for a kernel that will clover maximum performance in games and videos, and will also deliver creamy UI transitions. Thanks.
BTW, in case you couldn't tell, I'm somewhat new at this. I know just enough to sound somewhat competent I guess. I have unlocked, rooted, and flashed both my n7 and n4 through fastboot. Never touched a root kit.

I'll add this type of answer to the OP as well when I have time to clean it up but here is the gist of it. I can't answer you.
Of the main kernels (regularly updated) you'll see for this device (faux, motley, metallice, franco, morfic), these are all established kernel dev's here. They spend countless hours on these kernel's and know them quite well. There is no way I could say to use one over another. Even if one is more geared toward stability and battery life vs gaming performance each may run differently on each device as the hardware is not exactly the same on every N7. Some can get away with -75mv while other's would have lock ups there. Some can overclock gpu, cpu higher than others and run perfectly smooth and others would see a random reboot. Even with the differences on a default flash of any of these dev's kernels, you then have a plethora of further settings you can tweak. There are voltages, clock speeds, governor, scheduler, and literally many many more.
Personally I'd read through each of those threads, at least the first few pages and the last 10 or so to see the current posts and tweaks the other users are making or their feedback. Try each of the kernels for a few days. You might get the feeling of a couple you like better or you think run a bit smoother for YOUR device with YOUR usage. At that point you can determine how much further down that kernel rabbit hole you want to go, ie. tweaking the intricate little settings that might help you vs the dev's stock settings. With all that being said, and all the variables at play in the kernel world, I can't imagine an answer I could give you that wouldn't be intrinsically incorrect. Hence, re-read the bold text above.

Working like a charm on tilapia. No problems so far. The notifications are a bit low on the bar in tablet ui, but it's the same in every aokp build I've tried. Thank you for this fine rom.

Never understood why this happened here, but not on PA, but yeah, this is definitely the smoothest rom I have run on any device.

Team HellKat Proudly Presents
HELLKAT for the Galaxy Note II (N7100, t0lte)!!!!
HellKat is CM11 based with a completely redone beautiful Holo Red theme. You'll probably notice a difference between HellKat and CM nightlies (or the virgin AOSP builds) due to the LINARO 4.8 toolchain we use to compile the ROMs. HellKat was first created by DerTeufel during Jellybean and was called Hellybean. We now support several devices and with a new build server we will be able to bring this beautiful ROM to even more devices. If you have another device supported by CM you more than likely can build HellKat for your other device. We have a nice build script so that the hardest part of building HellKat is setting up Ubuntu and an Android developing environement. Checkout our sources at https://github.com/Hellybean/android
Here is a quick list of our differences from CM:
- RED THEMED!!!
- AWESOME RED DEVIL DROID WALLPAPER!!!
- Init.d Tweaker built into the settings menu
- LCD Density Changer built into settings
- Option to add date to status bar (Thanks Slim)
- DARK System UI (Thanks Slim)

I have been uploading builds just no time to update op or publicize, Don't think many of you have noticed. I had a friend donate a real build server to me and I have been getting it setup for us to use us the HellDev team. DerTeufel uses XDA as his build server and its been down like 8 weeks. I should have time in the next few days to update OP's but look for new builds, the alpha folder there in for t0lte is hidden, I will move them to root of hellkat dir. But I need some sleep. Expect a new cm11 in the am though. It is syncing now.
I have art compatible gapps why aren't I able to enable art?

Working on New builds tonight will have everything listed in re-done OP. All the Holo Blue should be gone with this one please let me know if something was missed.

My guess would be the gapps your using. I have been using the same ones for over a month no issues. I had gapps linked in OP but then get to many questions about newer Gapps and other packages. So I stopped recommending them but look here. I use gapps-kk-20131111-artcompatible.zip without issues.

I had the "messaging has stopped" error with the latest gapps in the omni thread & with the tiny gapps.
So now I will try your suggestion and report back.
It's typical that I tested everything else but the messaging. Only discovered it by mistake when trying to verify WhatsApp. 2 hours getting it just how I like it only to get kicked in the balls by that! Lol. Reverted backup rom to come on here to look for any solution.

Ok so I tried the gapps suggested and I still get "messaging has stopped" error.
I tried with TWRP & Philz (latest) each time I use zoot's wipe scripts and do a mega wipe.
Install rom (hellkat 15/12/13)
Install gapps
Reboot
Once I get passed all the signing in I tried messaging app and error.
I know the gapps work with both Omni based and Cyanogen based roms, so has something gone wrong when you packed it? Scripts or whatnot... I'm no Dev so forgive me if I am completely wrong.
I just want to help out, as everything else about hellkat is awesome.... The red theme just completes it's awesomeness.

I've been on 4.4 for ages before finally going back to 4.3. What I can tell you is that 4.4 is pretty damn stable when compared to 4.3. You're just going to have to be used to lower battery life (a flaw existent in most AOSP ROMs).
Flash away.

SlimHue Red theme looks fantastic with this ROM.
This ROM is pretty stable but I keep losing data every now and then which has never happened to me on AOSP ROMs. A reboot fixes it until the next time it happens. Also I installed SuperSU and had root at first then all of a sudden I didn't have root, I had to go into SuperSU and clean up and reinstall. And I got boot looped every time I rebooted, installed BMS kernel and no more boot loops. Other than its a great ROM.

I flashed this ROM last night and for the most part I'm having a good experience. It is very fast. Bluetooth is working better (although I haven't tried it with the car yet).
I cannot get calendars to sync, though. That will be a deal breaker for me. I have seen that as an issue in other 4.4 threads, but am unaware of a fix. Any help would be appreciated.

Team HellKat Proudly Presents
HELLKAT for the Galaxy S III!!!!
Checkout our sources at http://github.com/Hellybean
- Transparency options for notification drawer
- Transparency option for Lockscreen
- DARK System UI (Thanks Slim)
- List View Animations
- Large recents, recents color, dual pane prefs options
- options to disable bootanimation and wallpaper
- lockscreen ring battery
- Dual Panel settings
- CM Screen Security settings
- HALO
- More to come!!![/COLOR]
Things to expect in the future (because we had them in Hellybean)
- Ability to change tile colors
- HALO
- PIE (Color option included)
- Active Display
- and we'll probably grab more things as we go!
Just like the CM team.

I love the look of this rom...keep doin your thing....the thing i did diff. is I used https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...=UARg4s94W1q7A7qFusGckw&bvm=bv.59568121,d.cWc for the gapps....and https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...PEOgs1v6hJJSooXaA&sig2=0A7-KTaFXg510l8GiaQG1A for the kernel...it works great together
Flashed this on Friday, and was having random reboots on a fresh flash so I had to go back to my other ROM since I was going on a trip and needed navigation.
Decided to try it out again, so I reflashed on Sunday and it's been running just fine - must have just been a bad flash. Keep up the good work!

Already running BMS kernel but thanks.
Was running BMS kernel on the bad flash as well - like I said, was probably just a bad flash first time around.

Yeah, I said in my original post I re-flashed it and it worked fine . So wasn't a bad download, just a bad flash.
Been running it since then with minimal problems. A few random hot reboots, but nothing really to complain about.
Op updated!!!!

Flashed it last night - so far so good! Last build had a weird bug where if there was any statusbar change (like a download), it would flash like the whole statusbar was being refreshed. Looks like it's fixed in the 20140228 build though! Love the network up/down speed addition as well! Keep up the good work!

U r welcome! Cooking ROMs has become my hobby. It keeps me alive!
I would greatly appreciate it if you give me some feedback in return! :good:
@spezi77, hat's off to your talents. I have flashed 3 of your roms
from Xperia Z > CM-11 KitKANG > Carbon
they are all ready well made and at very high standard.
Omni is the next rom that can match CM. I can't wait to try.
off topic, are you working on a Sense based rom?
U Rock!
Spezi, can't thank you enough for your efforts!! You're awesome!
Will test it out tonight and let you know how it goes... :good:
@spezi77, you are doing good job to desire community. Keep up good work.
Just flashed this and all running good. Will have more of a play and let you know but big thumbs up so far . Thank you kindly

Relieved to hear that it's running good. I have asked devs from omni-team about the BT and UMS issues. Maybe someone can help me to find the right fix..
Nice rom, very fast and smooth.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
My experience on the first build of the Omni rom is smooth and fast response.
On Installation process, please add "flash supersu zip" before InstallA2SD,
Boot ROM and let it settle down (3-5 min)
Install A2SD
because root access is required.
Do you find develop in Omni is easier or harder than CM?
I still ran out of space quickly using a2sd, but mount2sd is working sweet, 20+ apps so far.
Rom has been very stable for me, compared with other kitkat roms I've used. Good work

For softkeys try Xposed and gravitybox. Or you can edit the build prop yourself but I forget the line you need to add

Ah ok. Can't remember if with gravitybox you can adjust the size or not.
Super!
Quick and easy installation.. Super quick and smooth Rom!!
Just one small issue with the default messaging app - outgoing SMS shows up blank, although the messages are getting delivered.
Something to do with the theme colors I think. Just moved to some other messaging app.
All-in-all - a great rom -
Active display and other cool features too!
I don't know if it is a placebo - but the battery seems to last longer :victory:
Thanks Spezi77!

I believe that longer battery life comes from SmartassH3.
SmartassH3 - based on SmartassV2 with parameters tuned by H3ROS (thanks) -
more efficient frequency scaling - not ramping too high when not needed this could potentially
result in better battery life

Well, it is hard to give you a true and general statement.
I was working approximately for 2-3 months to make my debut with Kitkang. At that time I have invested a lot of time in researching, discussing and learning from other xda devs. That was really a great time! OmniROM took me less time (maybe 2-3 weeks) because I was already aware of all the tricks to make it run on HTC Desire.
I admire the unique aspects of OmniROM -- I like the innovative and experimental approach and thinking different -- "Omni isn’t better, just different"!
So if I were to start or get involved in feature developments, I would definitely go for Omni.
P.S.: I believe that with one of the next releases we can expect the much-discussed "Multiwindow" feature.
