Unknown Atm. Apparently it seems smoother though. It's the same IMHO.

Yeah I think it only has some minor updates hence the 19 so minor update but an update nevertheless

Modded version signed...Okay no guarantee.. delete data/app/ phone sky.APK or vending.apk then reboot before you install.. actually I suggest you backup first.before going crazy.

could anybody give me plz a detailed installaion guide for the apk

Need GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk

I need the GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk from ICS Leak1.maybe someone who took backup of leak1 can pull and upload or if someone anyone can get their hands on it.it would be in system/app..

Where and how are you installing this apk? Also, what link did you install google now from?

I just replaced the one in system/app with this set the permissions and rebooted cleared cache and dalvic.btw i also tried making a new zip by replacing the app in google now remover zip with this app and then i flashed it but nothing changes.

Yea, that GoogleSearch.apk posted above is not from Leak#1.. you need one with this sha1 hash: d97306272d64c54817342b2d81e47d3d9090cecc - that's what the mini-ota from leak#1 to final ics is looking for.
And, why didn't you do as the Google Now install said and just name that GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk to .apk.bak..?
I am sure I have the proper apk somewhere on my home computer - I could send it later, if you don't have any luck by then.

Im redownloading leak 1 now, will copy the apk to dropbox when done. If you want google now, you can try this:

but I dunno what the consequences might be if something went wrong. But it seems to work for most ics devices. Ill look for the original thread on this so yu can look through it.

my playstore is broken
Is this supposed to work on a rooted htc explorer? I still have the stock rom on it. Since i downloaded and installed play store has been force closing every 2 seconds. So i had to uninstall it. Nd now i feel empty without it. :crying: Reinstalling it doesnt work either.

HOLY HOLY HOLY S*** !!!! Thanks a million! After installing CM10 on my Sk17i, the Google Play would keep crashing. I tried flashing different gapps but none of them worked. I've just installed this Google Play Store APK v3.10.10 and all works fine. Don't uninstall old version. Just install this version.

[Q] Google Search Stopped Working after CM10 Upgrade

Hi folks,
I wiped and installed CM 10.0.0-crespo today (from CM9), flashed over "JB-4.2-Gapps-signed", and now i get the error "Google Search has stopped". Of course, when trying to update from Google Play it tells me "The package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again". But obviously I cannot do that. (Or if I can, i dont know how to do it safely)
Is it because the Gapps are 4.2 and CM10 is running JB 4.1.2? If so, what is the CORRECT Gapps zip I should be using?

Any advice?
After searching some more, I discovered a post that suggested removing the "Google Voice Search" app as a system app and installing it from the Play Store. It worked.

[Q] Sharing APK's between devices

I am having Nexus 5 Nexus 10 and Nexus 7. My download data limit for Internet via WIFI is very low. So instead of each and every app getting updated in each device, is there a way that i can update in one device and then share the same update with other devices(Assuming all are on same Android Version and same run time).
Sorry if its a dumb question.

Download the APKs in question from apkmirror and then use a file manager to install them

Downloading APK's from third party website is not that safe right...
I am looking at any app which can do such thing...like you know packaging installed app into apk and sending it across devices via wifi or something...

It's perfectly safe on apkmirror, it's where everyone gets the apps from! They also include the md5 checksums and the app are all officially signed by Google (in the case of Google apps, obviously)

Easiest way is to root, then copy the apk out.

That is so NOT the easiest way! If your phone is locked then you'd lose everything anyway! The way is suggested is the easiest way but the OP seems a little apprehensive to do it but that's their issue (no offense, OP!!)

Safe or not all depends, as the apk is digital signed, if it had modify or sign with a different cert then it will refuse to update directly and ask you to uninstall first

Sorry I don't know getting root is that hard, and if you mean you will lost everything when unlock bootloader, try tr root and bootunlocker, nothing will be lost
