[Q] Help with GUI Root with Check and Recovery

The main thread is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=976605 but I can't reply to it (too new). I know there is some sort of security setting I need to change to put it in developers mode before the program will work...but can someone tell me what/where to make the chances. I can't seem to find it. Thanks!
OK, found that. You need to enable USB debugging mode in your phone (Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging).
But when I plugged in the phone in debugging mode, it needed to install ADB drivers and can't find them. Where do I get them?
You will need to install the Android SDK on your computer. google it.
Apparently you also need Java SE Development Kit 6 Update 25

[Q] LG P920 USB Debugging Error..!!

Hi friends..!!
I'm having LG Optimus 3D P920. Android Version is 2.3.5. It's factory unlocked but not Rooted. Everything on this phone is working perfect.The only issue is USB DEBUGGING when I try to connect the phone to my PC/ Laptop for data transfer.
--> I've turned the USB Debugging option ON.
--> After that I turned on the Mass Storage option.
--> I even tried it vice verse.
Once the Mass Storage is ON, the USB Debugging automatically turns OFF. If I again turn ON USB Debugging, then Mass Storage turns OFF.USB Debugging[/B] :silly:
I'm looking to upgrade the phone to either ICS or JB, but first of all I need your help in fixing the error related to the USB Debugging.
Please do the needful so that I can proceed further and upgrade the android version.
why do you need usb storage and debug enabled at the same time?
Just copy whatever files you need to your phone and then enable usb debugging after.
take a look at this thread. its for a other device, but should work for us too.

Reason: I'm not able to transfer the data via Mass Storage, nor I'm able to root the phone via USA Debugging.

Can't you:
1. Turn mass storage on - transfer all data that you want
2. Turn usb debugging on - root the phone
?
sorry i didnt read your first post carefully.
if you having problems with usb remove all your lg driver, reboot an install the latest.
if you have the same problem again, read the link in my first post carefully an make the changes on your pc.
so your final target is to upgrade to jb or ics.
for both you dont need a rooted phone or usb debuging or as massStorage.
if prefer ics, it has full 3d support.
for upgrade to ics follow this tutorial

No... unfortunately... but after a week of full test I found another problem so I update following malfunction list:
doesn't work
1) usb connection for development;
2) tethering in any connection (usb or wifi or bluetooth);
the other function are simply perfect

[Q] CAT s50 (4.4.2) -> ADB: device not found

Hello xda users!
I have bought a CAT s50 device and I am very used to feature that phone vibrates once when someone answers my call. Since it runs andorid 4.4.2 it does not support this feature by default. So I found app Vibrate Call (on Play store) (if someone knows better way around without rooting it would be cool)
So there is a main problem - when I try to access my phone via "adb devices" command it is not shown there (I enabled USB debugging and device can be seen in explorer). So I cannot run the shell to enable app. I tried it as well on Linux where no drivers are needed
Any solutions? Anyone faced the same problem?

Try to unmount the storage / deactivate MTP when you are going to use ADB. Have you checked the devicer manager if your phone is listed?
Still no success. Looks like there is missing ANDROID (not USB) driver for s50 (under device manager). But it is strange that it did not work on Linux, but I am not sure that I tried PTP mode insted of MTP as you said.

Revoke USB debugging auth. Missing - Marshmallow

Hey Guys,
I have just installed a custom ROM and can't connect via ADB Shell. Under developer options, there is no option to revoke USB debugging. If I search for it, it finds it but I can't get to it.
Any ideas?
Cheers

There is here, just under USB debugging main switch. And I can connect just fine via adb usual operations and even adb shell.
What is it that you're trying to achieve exactly? What ROM are you running?
a hammerhead wrote this.
I have come across it on a couple of different ROMs from 5.1 to 6.0. I was the latest Veneno ROM but seeing as I couldn't revoke authorisation, I wiped it and installed the latest Xtrasmooth Rom.
I was just wondering if there was something in the build.prop that changed what was viewed under developer options.
