For [L] Variant Users - Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500

Hello! :fingers-crossed:
I am a user of the L variant
Installed it on my S7500L cm10.1.2 (TheWhisp) only blurring the line verification device model in this file updater-script and it worked!
But, some considerations:
The device shows black screen when you turn on the phone;
What this device when not in use, the screen clears the screen at all times;
After these tests, I believe that the problem of L variants is only one change in this boot.img in S7500L
Hope this helps
Hugs!
Sorry for my English

For it to work you just edit the updater-script in this. Zip rom and delete the first two lines because they make the verification of the device, but I say that the device is unable to use due to the following problems:
The device shows black screen when you turn on the phone;
What this device when not in use, the screen clears the screen at all times;
Excessive battery consumption

if the black screen is the only problem, then the screen drivers arent the same in the L version and in the internacional version(but i bet that there are many more different drivers). did you take any logcats? and does anybody knows how to port kernel drivers?

This is what he meant:
"If you are not using the device, the screen turns off, the home button does not work and the device connects only through the power button apoós several attempts"
Anyway, he stated that he's not been able to use the rom. He already said "the device is practically impossible to use". No screen initialization, the device goes straight to the lock screen that appears only pressing power button two or three times.
Hope it helps to get a global idea... But in the end, we're exactly on the same point...

I really thank you , L variant users could help to improve this rom , if you need any help I am a L variant user too so ask me whatever and I will do it

as I said the other topic, an APP partially solves the problem of the screen off if you do not use it, for those who want to use the ROM as I, install the APP keyboard backlight, select the first option( autorize root acess) and the screen is not cleared if you do not touch , now it's logcats for thewhisp...

Hi friends,
I don't know if you try this but I just found it under "Android Software and Hacking" forum, it overboost the management of the apps and it works awesome with our Galaxy R. The first time you open the app doesn't have effect but after that, it opens 5 times faster than before. Please, try it and share with everybody your impressions.
I'm trying it for few hours and I don't know if it affects the battery drain, I'll post with my results.

No, only the apk, give it root permission when open and put "ON" status. You can active on boot too.
Regards.
Works! Definitely Works! Apps launch much faster now...!!! :good:
After keeping the app on and whn i close it. It again turns off? I need to keep the app in open apps?
Does this prevent phone from sleeping?

Hi there, rather new to all this. Just wondering how i go about flashing the unit with this file? I have ever flashed a phone before (although I think i understand the basics having done it on PC/laptops a few times) Sorry for my ignorance, but im new to all of this.
The reason i need it is i have a customers S4 that no longer displays the keyboard at the initial lock screen and therefore nothing can be put in the passcode field.
Edit: Although reading one of the above comments "it would be awesome if we can get it working with stock recovery." I'm guessing this is not going to work for this case?

Does this even work with an encrypted device? If so, what would be the point of encrypting my phone if it can be so easily removed?
nvm. I tested it myself and it does not work on an encrypted device.
@RubbaBand OMG! thank you soo much it worked perfectly on AOSP 5.1 Rom. You saved my time thanks a lot
You're the best sir!
First of all sorry for bumping this thread. It is just that I can't contain myself. I was locked of my phone, I have a Galaxy Grand running Lollipop. Last night I set a pattern, I did not like the first one so I changed it but when I rebooted it won't accept any of the 2 patterns I've set. I was losing hope and was about to face the dreadful factory reset button but then I found this and placed the file via a Guest account then flashed it in recovery. All of a sudden BOOOOOOM I rebooted and the pattern was gone. All thanks to you good sir! I hope I could smash the thanks button more than once. :victory:

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Sorry for the long delay. I found this which I'm not sure if it'll work on your device, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073827. I would try flash stock firmware to get your device working again. The random reboots could be app related so see how the device works before adding apps.
Good luck!
