hi, i am planning on buying a micro usb to usb female cord and i wanted to plug the micro usb into the xoom, and a mouse into the usb female. would that mouse work with the xoom, or will the drivers for the mouse not work? thank you
I'm not sure, I don't use a mouse on my Xoom. But I have heard from other Xoom users that the Bluetooth Mouse works.

If you want to use a USB connected mouse you need the Xoom to be in USB host mode. You need to have flashed a rom or kernel that supports USB host mode and you need a USB OTG cable, such as the Motorola Camera Connection cable. You can't just use a regular USB cable with a micro end and a female end.
but you can build your own OTG cable.
buy a micro usb B head
and a usb A recept
and solder it together
the schematic is quite the same like the factory cable
instead of soldering pin 1 to 5 (+) like the factory cable u have to solder pin 4 and 5 together (ground)
you can find a lot of DIY tut´s just google it

I can provide OTG HDMI converter Factory cable. If you need, you can PM me.
Just bought this cable from Amazon
It works just fine with wireless Microsoft Keyboard+Mouse but was not able to make it work with my Lumix Camera and Card Reader. Seems there are problems with Android version 4.0.4
My Xoom is MZ604 WIFI only NOT Rooted. Keyboard and Mouse works fine even without rooting it.

I think it's the XOOM do not support your camera module(no this module driver).Maybe you can upgrade OS to FIX.This issue is ONLY driver issue.
I have a very nice logitech backlit keyboard that comes with a wireless usb dongle I would like to use with my SGN10.1. If I get a USB adapter, will I be able to use it? The software is written for PC's so I am having serious doubts as to whether it would work.
I see a number of usb adapters being sold online for the Galaxy Tab. I am assuming these would work on the Note as well. Am I correct?
The Tab USB adapter should work for the Note, but I don't know if the keyboard will work with the Note. I think if the keyboard works on your computer without any CD or software, then it should work for the Note. If you do get the adapter, tell us how it goes.
anyone have tried this usb adapter? http://www.ebay.com/itm/UltraSlim-U...er-Kit-Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-Black-/120882263061
i bought this one and work like a charm for usb drive, but not for keyboard or mouse
I'm planning on buying OTG adapter to use usb keyboard/gamepad etc. But is it possible to both charge GTab 2 10.1 and use some usb device if said OTG adapter has multiple usb ports?
Anyone? Help, please :crying:
I know of no such device that will allow for charging and USB keyboard. You may be able to hook up multiple USB devices but no voltage will be passed back to the tablet.
My personal recommendation is to charge via USB and use a bluetooth keyboard. I also recommend patience with the forums.

This may be one of the needed pieces. I use it to connect a 1TB Seagate potable drive. I have seen some hubs but the reviews are not encouraging.

Have you considered Bluetooth. My MS keyboard and mouse connect fine as my Logitech tablet specific ones. I imagine there are BT game controllers too.

PS3 controller comes to mind. I have also used the WII controller to great effect.
Hello all. Planning to get a MHL 2.0 cable for my note 3 but I also want to hook up a keyboard and mouse. I have a logitech k/b that uses wireless signal via a USB dongle. I figured the OTG cable would suffice but naturally once the MHL cable is in, there is no way to also use the OTG cable. Curious if there is some sort of hub that allows at least 1x micro usb and 1x full size usb, or some sort of splitter? I realize a bluetooth keyboard and mouse is probably another solution but would prefer to avoid if I could.
Thanks!
