I switched to T-Mobile today. I'm using my Verizon s3. I have data and can make calls and text. And I only get 2g....which is know is because of the radio in the phone. But I'm just wondering if I can put a T-Mobile ROM on my Verizon s3 since I have their service and what not. Its for nothing more than an esthetic thing for me.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Verizon is a CDMA network and the i9300 doesn't have a CDMA radio, so no. However, it is possible to use a Verizon i535 on GSM networks if you're willing to work for it.

IIUI? I've never heard of it nor seen it in dev threads. I also googled it but nothing came up. Can you link to some information about it?
Or do you mean the Chinese based MIUI rom? That ones currently in the Android Dev forum.

Every ROM is carrier (ATT, Sprint, etc...) specific, so make sure you download the right one.

It's for the international S3 so I would have a hard time porting it.
If you find a ROM from another US S3, I'll be glad to do it for ya :good:
Well since this from the International version don't expect any takers. If it was from another carrier but still the US version they would be more willing to do it.

No we don't, the new 4.1.2 is called premium suite which Verizon hasn't released to us. But that's the good of rooting getting multi window and even more features that's you wouldn't have officially.

I received it back on 4/16/13....stock, unrooted, and on VZW. Didn't think much of it, since it seemed fairly incremental. I've got a dev. edition, so perhaps that may explain the early push?

I hope they don't send it out. I got the 4.1.2 update and not only did it erase my sd card but it also wiped out gps. Had to get a replacement for gs3 and as soon as I received it the thing was rooted. No more relying on Verizon when there is such an amazing dev community here at xda.

I'm not new to root and flashing but I'm new to the GS3. Is there a difference between the roms in Gs3 section and the verizon gs3 sections. Im just curious why there are carrier specific gs3 threads and then a general thread. Can I flash from either?

They are all different and if you flash a ROM from another carrier expect to brick your phone. Read the instructions and make sure you have the correct ROM for your carrier.

The general GS3 section is for the i9300 international version. Flashing anything from that section will lead to a sure brick of your Verizon GS3.
