Does anyone know how I can get my earphones to fit in the case. Is there anything I can do? Is there a jack adapter I can buy or something. Or is the only option I have is to take it out the case

You could try to source one of the short headphone adapters used for the original iphone. Is the plug just too thick to fit with the case on?
try this on amazon:
eForCity Headphone Adapter Compatible with Apple iPhone Recessed Jack, 3.5mm Male Female Extension Plug - Black

It's an L shaped plug so it won't fit all the way with the case.

Anyone have any good speaker dock recommendations for use with this phone?
I picked up a cheapo one with stereo cord input but it's not cutting it. Everything at the stores seems to be made for the mindless iPhone crew.

Does anyone know a waterproof case that can not only provide access to headphone jack but to usb port as well?
I'm looking for something that I can put on handle bar on my bicycle and use it as gps.
Currently out of stock.

Thanks.
That's a start. Do you know if that case allows use wired headphones and usb cable for charging?
Yes it does but I think that its easier to have Bluetooth headphones while using it in the holder.

True, but I doubt any BT headphones would last 8-10 hours of music
If a waterproof case exposes either the headphone or USB connectors it's not waterproof. Those are the first thing waterproof case makers try to isolate.
Not necesarry. there are cases for swimmers that have molded wires into the case to wich yu connect your headphones to

Thanks for mentioning that one. Ive been looking for a good bike mount for a long time. Everyone I have purchased does not hold up well. This one looks pretty good.
Following my successful attempt at a diy desktop dock, I 've had a first attempt at a diy car dock with charger pins to use the contacts on the side of the phone.
I used a cheap suction cup type car holder, the same type of pogo pins as in my desk dock and some sugru to hold the pins in place on the dock.
Works a charm but as always the sugru looks a bit like I've stuck a blob of play-doh on the dock!
But it works and doesn't look too bad

Hi,
the pogo pins were bought from RS online:
http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/7020109/
they are cheap enough but delivery is expensive so it's better to collect from a local store if you can
the car dock was from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BJPW8KU/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As was the sugru, but you can get that from lots of stores and hot glue might work just as well
I need to find a USA source for short pogos like that... Sparkfun's are way too long.
And the other big problem is - I probably can't get a nice car mount like that in the USA.

Hi Entropy,
the dock I used is available on Amazon us site
http://www.amazon.com/Measure-Winds...=1364855931&sr=8-7&keywords=xperia+z+dock+car
thought it's a bit more expensive than I paid in the uk.
Newark seem to stock millmax connectors pretty cheaply in the US

You can buy female micro usb plugs on eBay or Amazon, I used a spare adapter from a universal charger, pulled it to bits and soldered the pogo pins on with some wire.

Looks good, I've thought about going qi, but it's almost as easy dropping my phone on a dock which uses the pins. And I'd want the qi coil inside my phone as I don't want a case.

Wait, so these 2 copper-looking thingies on the side of my phone are connectors for magnetic chargers and docks? Does that mean there exist special docks for Z's? My mind is blown.

Ummmm...no.
There are no magnets nor any metal that are magnetic on the charging port of our Z. Only the Z1 has that. As you can see from the video, his charging port looks different(the copper looks a bit squarish)... Which means 1. he modified his charging port and added metal/magnets to it, 2. He made an adapter that he just glued on the phone which is magnetic, 3. He bought a kit somewhere that would allow him to do this( which So far, I am not aware if one does exist)

Mind you, magnets do affect electricity...so be careful when modding it to your phone.

Already ordered magnets from EBay.
Theyre cheap ass all the way from China.

There isn't a terrible amount of detail sadly.
Magnets arrived
I bought some conductive glue and will work on it soon. I'll post some pictures and a detailed write up if I can.

It is because that dock is for the Xperia Z1. We have the Xperia Z in this forum which does not have the magnetic connector like the Xperia Z1.

Well then just buy the dock
here's a charging station for the xperia Z. I hope it works when it arrives. I'm really disappointed to learn that the charging ports on the Z are not magnetic and I can't get a cable for it. I hate damaging my usb port
i can't actually post a link, but it's on ebay

Has anyone seen any retractable USB-C cables or 90 degree adapters yet?
Already have a couple of micro USB to USB C adapters so that's not what I'm looking for.
I'm waiting for same thing.

I have a 90° C-C cable that I use to charge my 6P at night with. I've used it for a while now without any issues, plus it's 6[ft] so it has some reach to it.

This one is Type C to Type C. I don't know how safe they are but there are more in eBay. I just searched "USB Type C angled".
Edit: The same cable is in Amazon for $8.99 with Prime shipping.
