I know that you all guys are crazy about ICS. The most amazing feature about ICS is real time face recognition. Means instead of any lockscreen app use your face to unlock your device. Its just like future technology. God knows when we will get ICS and this amazing feature. But I found a free app on market "visidon applock" which works nearly perfectly for me for recognition.
feature:
-unlock any app using your face
-set alternative password also if in any case face recognition doesnt work (in dark enviornment)
-face training option
Belive me guys its working perfectly. I tried to unlock messaging app it instantly recognised my face. But when my friend tried to do the same then it smartly refused to open app because obviously it will recognise only my face...!! Try it guys and enjoyyyyy.....!!!
Wow this looks good! But it doesn't let you put it as lockscreen, does it?
thanks..i will try it now

ya u are rite. Even I also want that. But best part of it is that it can lock any app that u want.
it doesn't work perfectly, but looks nice

Well the idea is based on how the phone read's your face, since there is no hardcore algorithm put into this compared to the ICS, factors like lighting and pinpoint locations on whether it can detect your eyes and nose *Works somewhat like QR Reader* they play a big factor.
i think you should try this.just search "king kong lock" in android market

I would like to get everyone's reviews on the various apps available to be used with the s pen.
S note - Great - pen operation is very smooth indeed under ICS - seems better than I remember.
Seems pretty easy to add images etc -so it is worth upgrading to this IF you use these apps alot - if you don't then stick with ICS Stunner or similar.
My story - not sure really - is it me or does it only work to other people with notes? I can't send things to anyone?

I fell in love with Touchscreen Tune for Note.
Allows you to calibrate spen offsets for deadly accurate use. Can't put my spen down now
Lecturenotes is a killer imho...
I find the s apps a little clumsy for sketching but lecturenotes has a really nice pencil sketch kinda feel (quill is great too on this front) and gives amazing customization and allows for image import and the like... Well worth the price and works with the aosp roms just as nice
Just my 2 cents as I spent a lot of time looking for the right app for me

sorry dude, i had search the same thing but there is no way, i have seen if you first put the spen and start to draw then put your hand it works normally like a paper or just learn to draw with you hand flyover
Cyanogenmod 10 for the Note has palm rejection implemented at the base level; if the screen detects the pen, the capacitive layer is disabled so fingers/hands have no effect.:good:
It might also be in CM9, but I can't remember and am running CM10 atm...
of course this doesn't help for stock, but it's yet another case where Samsung is actually holding us back in terms of the devices potential!
I have created this little app out of frustration with the hardware buttons on my Galaxy S3. I don't really mind the back, menu, or Home button implementations but I am really annoyed because of the implementation of the recent apps. On a Galaxy S3, we all know that one has to press the hardware home key for a while to open the recent apps view. This greatly hampers multitasking and, honestly, it even turned me off of the idea of multitasking using the recent apps view.
But I recently used a friend's Galaxy Nexus and found that the recent apps view was not only very convenient to switch between apps, but also very effective. And the convenience was amplified by the fact that the recent apps button was ever present on the phone's screen. So I decided to implement something similar for my phone.
I came across STANDOUT , a library made by Mark Wei (xda member pingpongboss) which perfectly suited my needs for this app and made creating this app a breeze. Thanks a lot Mark!!
So here is my app called "FLYING RECENTS". It is a floating button that does nothing but open the default recent apps view. It is draggable via the handle attached at its bottom, it is semi-transparent so as to not be too distracting, and it can be closed by clicking its notification in the notification shade. Go ahead. Give it a try. I am sure people with hardware buttons will appreciate the utility of this app once they use it. Do offer suggestions if any, and I will try to incorporate them into the app as much as i can.
Made for a Galaxy S3. Ideal use case is for phones like Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4, etc. All phones with hardware buttons running Android 4.0+ benefit from this app.
UPDATE: Version 1.01 includes a better looking drag handle. Thanks to pratyush997 for the suggestion!!
UPDATE: Version 1.02 includes a transparent notification bar icon.
I'm thrilled I was looking for something like a long time ...

Thanks for your response. I hope you enjoy using this. If you don't mind, hit thanks, and tell people about this app. Everybody deserves the ease of convenience don't they?
Very very nice, been looking for a while for something like this.
I have a suggestion Don't u think it would be more practical and less obstructive if it was more like a gesture based launcher (like swipepad, sidebarpro).
We set it up that once u swipe from the home button upwards the screen, it will launch the recent apps. I've tried many apps but none were perfect for that simple task.
Thx for the nice app, would be appreciated if u can consider my suggestion.

I have been working really hard to implement this sort of a possibility that you have described. If I have any success in the implementation, I will surely update and post here.

Trust me it was my original aim to make this app just like that (i.e. dragging the button itself) but I cannot for the life of me make it draggable. That is why I had to include the handle. Feel free to suggest any coding workarounds if you can. It would greatly benefit me.
Useful app! May I suggest the addition of floating 'back', Home', 'menu' buttons as well?

As far as I can tell, adding the back button is not possible without rooting. But i will get back with the home button implementation soon.
Hello guys! View the Slide Aside on LG G2 is really very useful in practice allows the user to always have 3 apps in the background and recall them when they want to .... innovative application! LG Brava! Who knows if some svliluppatore is able to carry them on our beloved S4
It is an awesome feature, but I think it would even better if someone found a way to activate it with only one finger. 3 fingers makes you use the phone with both hands.

I use GMD Gesturecontrol, it has practically endless customisation options to make a gesture just like this or anything else. LG just stole one of the many abilities of this app.

They say a picture says more than a thousand words.
Custom gestures. A swipe to the left from the bottom of the right side takes me back to the previous app. Vice versa on the bottom left side. Swiping up from the bottom of the screen equals a push of the home button (I hate that physical button). Finally swiping left along the bottom of the screen brings up the multitasking menu.
wow. this gmd app is so awesome, i just bought it. you know with s4, it's annoying to open recent tasks by holding the home button, and the back button placement on the right is annoying too since i always use my phone left handed.
now with this custom gesture, i can swipe up from the bottom center to open recent tasks, and swipe right from left center of the screen to simulate back button and its really nice, it feels like you're swiping a page to go back.
I'm an ex nexus 4 user, I hate hardware keys. So I add this line to the build prop qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 and it adds the nav bar like this
But it only works on aosp and i9505g ROMs. Don't do it on a touchwiz ROM as Samsung ripped the code out and all it will do is cause a fc of the sytemUI.apk but thought it might help as you always have recents avalible without effecting any app that uses the gestures you set it as.
