and so on
- tw_pointer_scroll_hovering_spen_pointer01_dark.png is for scrolling up with the pen
and here a picture to sum up the hovers :
6- use any image editor ( i prefer Photoshop )
7- open the icon that you like to change with PS
8- then edit or change it with one you like and save it with ".png" extension
9- say yes to replace the modified file with the new one
10- then put the file that you had changed to ( output file /res/ drawable-xhdpi )
11- finally recompile
12- push it to (System/framework) on your phone or ROM and change permission to rw-r-r

[SCRIPT] Services.jar De/Compiler/Signer

This is a script I created for personal use which will work on a Mac using the Terminal.
Services.jar is responsible for theming your phone, for example how the battery status and notification bar works, and general things such as those.
This script allows you to easily:
1. Create a working directory with all required files included.
2. Allow you to drag and drop the services.jar file you want to modify into the terminal for ease of use.
3. Automatically decompile services.jar into your working directory
4. Open your working directory from the Terminal to allow you to make modifications/changes.
5. Automatically re-compile services.jar after edits have been made.
6. Option to sign services.jar so that it is flash ready for your Desire.
Setting up is no problem,
1. Download the attachment and extract it to your desktop.
2. Open up terminal and cd (change directory) to the folder, eg: cd ~/desktop/services-jar
3. Then simply type: ./menu
This will display the easy-to-use menu for navigation around the script shown below

NOTE: only for mac users.
CURRENTLY WORKING ON:
1. Automatic ripping of services.jar from a signed ROM. COMPLETE
2. De-compiling, editing, re-compiling and automatic signing of .apk files.
All requests are welcome

Script updates HTC_IME.apk and changes alternative symbol on "f" (currency symbol).
You can change it to every symbol you like to have. Updatefiles put "€" -symbol on keyboard.
What is to do?
Download & extract zip-file
If you´d like to have "€"-Symbol on keyboard and your language settings have no proper files (or you are german):
Goto 5.
If you´d like to have "€"-Symbol on keyboard and your language settings have proper files:
Zip-file contains proper qwerty_COUNTRYCODE.xml and land_qwerty_COUNTRYCODE.xml in CountryFiles folder. Search your ones and change this line in both files:
Code:
<key codes="0x0066" label="f" topLabel="[COLOR="Red"][B]€[/B][/COLOR]" popupCharacters="@string/alternates_for_f_lower" accentType="3" alignIndex="0" xt9idx="13" />
copy files to \UpdateKeyboard\res\xml-hdpi\*.*
Goto 5
If you´d like to have "MySymbol"-Symbol on keyboard change \values\strings.xml in folder UpdateKeyboard\res\values and change
Code:
<string name="alternates_for_f_lower">[COLOR="Red"][B]MySymbol[/B][/COLOR]</string>
Do the same with above specified line in land_qwerty.xml and qwerty.xml in \UpdateKeyboard\res\xml-hdpi\*.* Or edit proper settings files like in 3.
run tiwili_ws.bat
Strings.xml is for "what happens while pressing".
Files in xml-hdpi are for the right look.
As always: I´m not responsible for any damage etc. If you want to go back run recovery.bat.

Step3
- When you have al the .png's Ready Copy and Paste them in the Framework.res.apk Res/MDPI/LDPI/HDPI folder (Depending on your phone)
Step4
- When you are done with that close the .zip file with the .png's and also close 7zip.
- Now Copy the framework-res.apk to your phone!
Step5
- Open root explorer and go to /sdcard and move framework-res.apk to /system/framework!
- Now (NO PANIC!) your phone should be giving Force Closes that's normal Just wait (If everything went fine your screen goes black and it should be starting up)

Smart cover background image

Smart cover has background image which can be changed at will, only you have to know where it is... and be rooted... It takes me quite long time and many efforts to find it out... So, I will share this knowledge with you.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
In fact there are TWO images: one to show normally without any action and second to show when there is incoming call to take. Originally this is the same image in two places. It has resolution 561 x 1061
To change background image you need to:
- Prepare your own picture with given resolution and rename it as needed (details below)
- Go to /system/priv-app folder and find adequate .app file (details later) using e.g X-plore, Total Commander or Root Explorer
- Copy .app in edition to PC and open it with e.g 7zip.
- Navigate (inside opened .app ) to folder with original background image
- Copy your prepared picture into opened folder, agree to exchange files and close 7zip.
- In /system/priv-app folder rename original xxxx.app to xxxx.app.bak and copy there your prepared .app
- Set .app permissions to 644
- Reboot & enjoy your own background image in Cover window
Now details about files
1. Background image which is normally visible lies within /system/priv-app/Keyguard.apk in folder /res/drawable-sw420dp-400dpi-v13/cover_clock_background.jpg. Originally it is .JPG file
2. Background image for incoming call lies in /system/priv-app/InCallUI.apk in folder /res/drawable-sw480dp-400dpi-v13/cover_bg.png and originally it is .PNG file
