Does anyone else experience a situation where when you click on the task bar you always get the "notifications" page popping up? Both my hubby and I have that problem. You try and check your battery and "notifications" pops up. I have made some small changes to my unit, but my husband hasn't, so we want to know if it's an issue with the phone for anyone else who has the Sprint version.
Thanks
It is by design. On the Touch Pro, you could turn that function off in the TouchFLO settings, but that option does not appear on the TP2. Maybe someone can find a registry setting or knows if it is in one of the config tools.
Like the title says, I wanna know if there is an solution to hack android (2.2) to not display notifications in status bar when a SMS is received or a call is missed.
I simply don't want them because I use LauncherPro: it can display very well this kind of notifications in the dock icons so the status bar ones are unneeded. Also, I don't wanna hide status bar, I need it for other notifications like 3G watchdog, WiFi etc.
With a simple Google search doesn't seems to find something useful.
Thanks in advance!
for messages its easy just go to message and settings then disable the notifications and for calls im not sure this might solve half your issue

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I knew about this setting but it has a problem: it disable the sound notification of a new received SMS. So, it affects not just the notification in status bar.
It is really interesting that few people have asked this request. In fact, disabling this kind of notification (in a case of using an HOME app capable to do that too) is a matter of looking good. It should look „iPhonesque”
right right now i understand what you fully mean,
well i disabled it and just use sms pop up from the market by dev Adam K.
its free you should check it out maybe it will help
(i am no way affiliated with him nor do i know who it is just an app i like)

Well, thanks. But I'd like to use the stock messaging app instead of that. It seems that this is not a truly interesting kind of modding.
Right
Well thought I'd throw some suggestions out there

I was trying to setup a lockscreen shortcut and I can't set it to phone/dialer. Also I cannot see it in the app drawer. Any ideas why? It opens fine from the homescreen. Running Virtuous Sensation 1.0.1.

It should just be named phone
Having the same issue! Revolution HD ROM.
No one else with similar issue?
Are you saying that you don't see the phone app from the app drawer? If so, maybe you mistakenly hid it or somthing. Are you using Rosie or an alternative launcher. Phone is one of the four default items on the lockscreen when "wallpaper lockscreen" is selecter from the Personalize menu. So I take it, you have either changed the lockscreen or have changed the phone item and can't get it back? Am I correct, so I can further help you?
I was setting up shortcuts in the lock screen. I left the phone dialer alone cause I needed it as a shortcut and just changed the other 3. When I went to check the lockscreen it was missing. I also tried adw launcher and it wasn't set as a default on the dockbar. I couldn't get it to appear. I did finally manage to get it on adw after setting a shortcut to an activity. Still should have been able to select it from app drawer though, but nothing.

Hi
I own a HTC One X with stock rom and everything.
I did just installed WidgetLocker which I had on my Desire.
I can make WidgetLocker to hide the incoming call screen, it always shows the Answer / Decline byttons directly.
I have the settings right. Settings -> Popup -> Hide incoming call, checked.
It still does not work. Anyone else had this problem and might know how to fix this?
Thanks.

LoL that's hilarious... but you should be in the Q&A section. I'm having the inverse of what your getting. I can't get ANSWER/DECLINE to show up until I unlock the screen.

Same for me, I had to uninstall current version (2.2.7) and installed version 2.1.0 which resolved the problem (you can google widgetloker 2.1 version - there are still some of them on the web). Hope that helps
Hello guys, I just wanted to ask whether it would be possible to remove lockscreen notifications but keep them on Always on Display?
I have already posted this question on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus forum but I did not get the answer so I wanted to ask here.
Thank you in advance!
Not sure about the Sammies but my HTC has a separate menu item for Lockscreen messages. By always show I assume you mean when the phone is unlocked, so that when you're playing a game or something the message pops up. The quickest way to find out if you have the option to hide sensitive messages or not display them at all on your lockscreen is to go to settings and in the search bar at the top begin typing Lockscreen. It should popup in the results. Depending on the apps you use I know some have options within the app for when, where and how to display notifications. Handcent/Next SMS is one that comes to mind.
