Although there hasn't been any official announcement of the HTC One Mini, we all know that it is coming, and we know a fair bit about the device. Although, there really isn't a whole lot to know. The device is going to be an HTC One... mini. Still, we've got some leaked pics of the AT&T version of the device, and surprise surprise, it looks like a smaller HTC One.
Luckily, whoever has their hands on the device knew enough to take pics of info screens, so we know that the device has a dual-core QualcommCPU with an Adreno 305 GPU (aka a Snapdragon 400), 1GB of RAM (although previous pics have said 2GB), 16GB of internal storage (with about 11GB free), Android 4.2 with Sense 5, and LTE. We've learned before that the HTC One Mini will have a 4.3" 720p display, although that's not listed in the images here.
We already knew that the HTC One Mini is coming to AT&T, and that's the branding on these pics.

It looks like a knock-off One
Storage size is really pushing it. But that is a fun looking mid-ranger. Give it a solid kernel with s2w and l2m, I wouldn't mind it as a backup phone.

Kind of like the BMW 1-series looks like a smaller 5-series. The One's a beautifully crafted phone made with high-end materials. The Mini's a "phone." I can see the design of the One swaying people toward HTC, not so much with the Mini. Its design isn't special but it’s unique because of the dual frontal speakers and UltraPixels. We'll see how it does. The SGS3 Mini has been out for eight months and you hardly ever hear it mentioned anywhere. Its general forum has 143 threads; this one after just four months has 1,091. At least on XDA, mini phones with mini specs don't create a lot of buzz.
233 MB available ram??? WTF, is this really true for every one mini?
I don't biting!!! Waiting info related to the ram, thanks!

I came across this looking for a replacement for my MDA, want a better one. Look at this one on http://www.jarengoh.com/
Its a XScale 400MHz and 4MP camera, and WM5..... Coming out soon. What do you think?
tried PIE and wm5 opera I think you might have a dead link
matrix849:
Try desktop browser. The whole page is one big flash so I doubt anything on the PPC will show it properly.
weezy:
It looks great, but they don't say what it has (hardware wise) besides the camera and WiFi.
Is there BT? How much memory? Screen resolution? Is it a Smartphone or Pocket PC based? (touch screen?)
It's not on the products page of the company they gave the link to, so I don't see anything to be excited about yet.
From memory, I believe this is supposed to cost around $300,000, with the White Diamond consumer end model around $4000.

Yep, bang on it's on the website at $300,000 available 2007
I think I'll buy two
Buying that phone you would think does it come with 8 rooms and a five car garage. Still good phone to look at
Addition to the design phones
Hi people,
Here are two additions to the design phones. Both are concept though.
But still are really wicked.
So have a look and let's hope the companies do build such smartphones.

I don't know the rules about forum swearnig but "F**k me!" that's a breath taking phone...even more breath taking than the V3 RAZR and on the same level of breath taking as the Vertu range, which cost around £3,000.
Oh my gosh I've just discovered that Vertu is owned by Nokia Corporation ... so they're just high-end flashy Nokia mobiles?
Uh, what a disgrace!
Nice find
Vertu are hardly high end, feature wise, but they're blingin.
A guy at work here has the Bang & Olufsen Serene, which is also expensive, and damn user unfriendly. But at least it has a motorized self open/close mechanism

Take a look at this too http://keesoo.multics.org/articles/jan2005/se/se_design.htm
This is strange looks like Wizard (designer is so impressed I think)
All of these jaw-dropping / mouth-watering / breath-taking phones are just pure luxury...I think I'm just going to have a heart-attack and collapse ontop of the Pool table.

Hi all
I have option to buy the Diamond2 in UK in two weeks as it comes out, its very tempting but I'm not sure cause the Diamond2 is not so much better than my Cruise as I understood. (I don't want devices like Omnia HD or Toshiba G01 cause they are very big & don't wanna leave this forum)

Diamond2 pro's over the Cruise:
-looks much better + steel
-lightness, weight & size
-little bit faster CPU (I donno about the video & graphics drivers)
-screen size & resolution
-more ram & rom
-5mp camera
-TF3D 2
-accelerometer
obvious its better device but the differences are minor and the most annoying thing is that devices like the old Omnia much faster...
but no device worth buying without the support like this forum so don't know if its worth buying or keep waiting for HTC make something really good...
Please help me decide any thoughts & advices are welcomed!
Well...
It will depend if you are in urgent to buy another device, then go for Diamond 2 or TP2, but if you are not in a rush I´ll recommend you to wait one more year.
I´m in the same questioning as I have not upgrade my beloved Universal buyed in 2005!, and I think I´ll wait to get something better
Just my opinion
Good luck,
I'm in the same dillema, but I have time till October, when my current contract expires.
I will make change, if for nothing else then for greater resolution.
I still can't decide between Touch HD and Diamond2, and I have no opportunity to test both device and then decide.
However, I like my phones unlocked, meaning bought at vendor, not at provider. This might make me wait till next summer.
Anyway, I'll stay WinMo, I guess.

I think the difference between HD & D2 is only size & 3.5mm other differences are software related so it will be ported from D2 to HD
I think if youre ok with HD size you might consider devices like Toshiba G01, Omnia HD or HTC with the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
I had my eyes set on the HTC EVO for awhile now but just to be sure I got the right phone, I did a google search for upcoming sprint androind phones and it showed me the SAMSUNG EPIC and I was amazing. I always enjoy a physical keyboard because sometimes the touch was annoying on my HTC HERO.
I really have no idea which one to choose. I cannot find any specifications on the EPIC, even from the official website. I know its a 4G phone like the EVO. It also has a front camera for video calls. HD video recording. What I dont know is the megapixels of the camera, if it has a flash, if it is responsive when using the touch screen. I came from the HERO so the touch was a little laggy and annoying at times. This is where I wish i had an iPhone because their touch screen is VERY VERY responsive and feels very smooth. On the HERO it never really did. I never got to try out the EVO but I saw youtube videos with the EVO being laggy and not as responsive. Did anybody get to try out the EPIC?
If any of you can give me some links and let me know your opinions on both phones that would be very grateful. Please no fanboy arguments.
(i didnt know if this was the correct section for this, sorry)
EDIT
Ok I have found more information at http://androidspin.com/2010/07/21/the-samsung-epic-4g-vs-the-htc-evo-4g/

So how is TouchWiz anyways? And what do all you Evo users think so far?
Anybody???
Evo all the way! it´s HTC
Though there hasn't been an actual review of Epic 4G, since it's likely very similar to other Galaxy S phones, I'd say it completely destroys EVO.
Much better CPU/GPU, a physical keyboard (reportedly quite good), S-AMOLED destroys TFT LCD, probably lighter and EVO still has those build problems.
Unfortunately it's by Samsung.
I know the EVO has high capacity batteries, but does the Epic? This may be the deal breaker, my Moment has been hell-in-a-handset as far as battery life goes, it burns out by 3pm with light use and takes about 3 to 4 hrs to fully charge, and absolutely no big batts are anywhere to be found. There is no way Im dealing with this again, I dont mind shelling out a few extra $$ for a big battery, I need it.
if you got your inspire for the same reason i got mine , most bang for the buck, sure the Attrix was better but cost more.. No one regrets not getting the attrix.. Now comes the next deal. and at a penny for the refurb. The Vivid with ICS is now available for as 1cent 69, 99 depending on where you go, right now ATT website has the white for one penny. I have 2 other lines with upgrades available, So when the oneXL or better phone comes out i can up one of those lines.. but ICS is soo sweet i couldnt wait
Good deal for a dual1.2ghz, 1gb ram phone. I wish the inspire had those specs.
My Atrix destroys my Inspire when it comes to speed. That Nvidia Tegra 2 chip flys.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA
hell yeah and for like 15 bucks you can get the MHL micro usb to hdmi adapter, the one thing i wish they would have done for the inspire.. DLNA is not all that easy to deal with.
if a dev community is important to you I wouldn't get a Vivid, many of their devs have left recently. But if not its a great deal, the best HTC phone on AT&T next to the upcoming One series
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
very good ,up you !!!

I have 2 other lines on my account that can be upgraded anytime.. I just seen that 1 penny deal and had to jump.. that deal lasted less than 24 hours. I think a bloatware free phone would be enough for me. To bad the VIVID didnt get released earlier .. the specs are great.. the HDMI out is something i wished the Inspire had.. Im not totally sold on the ONE-X there are some other phones with quads, I'm waiting on 2 gigs of ram, Looking forward to Ubuntu app.. heard it runs great on the VIVID with just one gig.. I think would like to see a dual boot on a phone with windows8.. run desktop photoshop or illustrator, without remote desktop.. its heading that way..these phones are better than the PC I had years back that I ran CS2
Just got my Vivid (upgrade from Inspire)
My Inspire had gotten a little wonky with all the different ROMs I threw at it, etc. Had a hardware issue or two as well (random reboots, touchscreen sometimes mis-calibrated, etc). I loved that phone, but yesterday I picked up a Vivid.
It's pretty nice.
Wish there was a ROM from the Collective I could put on it, I hate Sense- overall though I can't complain about it in the slightest.
The screen is pretty awesome as well, very bright and easy to read. The internal speaker blows though.
According to recent reports, we may see two Nexus devices this year , one made from Huawei and another one from LG. It looks like one of the Nexus devices just made an entry in the AnTuTu benchmarking site, blowing everyone’s mind with a score of more than 85000!

If you remember, the Samsung Exynos 7420 chipset is currently on top of AnTuTu with 65000+ points. However, with a score of over 85,000 this Nexus device beats Samsung’s chip by over 20,000 points.
This brings us to the big question, what exactly is running inside this Nexus device? Well, AntuTu 5 doesn’t reveal much about the specs inside the device, but the phone probably will come with the new Snapdragon 820 chip from Qualcomm. While the score is still too good to be true, considering Qualcomm’s desperate need for a comeback with 820, the company could have boosted its performance to a whole new level.
What we do know is that the phone will be called as the Nexus 5 (2015) model , which probably means that LG is not sticking with the incremental naming policy. Also, this may also give us a clue about the screen size, as you can expect it to be around 5-inches (5.2-inch would be just perfect). The Nexus 6 came with a monstrous 5.9-inch display, but it was too big to handle. So, this could actually be a good move. The resolution is surprisingly just FHD, which would be a downgrade from the QHD display on the Nexus 6.
Anyways, if the performance of Snapdragon 820 is really this good, we would like to know whether it overheats like the current generation 810. But we hope Qualcomm will have learnt its lesson by now.
Usually, Google announces its Nexus devices in fourth quarter of the year and we expect the company to continue the tradition this year too. By then, there could be a couple of Snapdragon 820 powered smartphones like Xiaomi Mi5 in the market. So, things could get interesting pretty soon!
