Black one for me (dark S4), white one for wife (white S4).
Her's has a switch on the back to choose between for charge mode (via micro-usb) vs. audio out mode (via 3.5mm audio cable), mine has a slot to charge a spare battery in the back. It doesn't charge when set to audio-out. The white one came w/two USB cables - one for a power adapter, one for computer.
Our S4s fit easily into the dock w/their cases on (we're using the slim TPU-like cases that Costco includes w/the phones), with some wiggle room on each side and front-to back. The micro-USB connection is tight enough that you have to use two hands to put it in or take it out, which I prefer for safety/stability. (There are comments in the reviews regarding cases the docks work/do not fit.) The docks come w/their own 1.5A charger and cable, but we just connected the micro-USB charging cord that Samsung provides w/the phones to the back of the docks.
The docks come w/an insert that you can leave in for a phone w/out a case, or remove if you are using a case.
The two docks look pretty much exactly the same except for their configuration for battery charging vs. audio out/charge switch, but they come from two different suppliers and have different names. But the source manufacturer certainly looks like it's the same.
For $25 we're pretty happy, takes up very little space on the nightstand, appears to be well enough made, and the fit is good w/the case on, which has always been an issue w/other phones we've owned, not fitting, or not fitting well w/a case on. Would buy these again...

Yeah, the main point of this thread was that these docks work w/out having to remove the case, which for many of us is a must. Taking the case off and putting it back on every day gets very annoying, very quickly.

I recently saw this and made sense to me to get the sucker. I have my N1 in front, my iTouch in the back and my wife's SE can be charged on the last remaining slot.
This unit is really small, pretty well belt and comes in black/silver/pink. And they have the 3 or 2 charging slots and come with either a 6 tip package or you can pick and choose 4 tips, according to what you want to charge.
Here's the unit, I got the silver 3 slot version. It has a on/off switch on the back as well in case you want to just turn off the unit when not in use.

The seller, idaptweb.com. Its a great site, but communication is lacking. I received this unit in about a week. Ships from Spain I think.
There's no possible way that can be good for the micro usb port of your nexus. Or any device for that matter. Get your rma ready!
What privacy screen do you have on that iphone in your pic?

That's what I initially thought as well. But to me its pretty sturdy. I have the OEM cradle at work as my backup anyways. But I will continue to monitor it just in case.

It's an iTouch actually. The privacy screen is from proporta.com. They do have iphone privacy screen protectors as well. Its a very well made product IMO.
UPDATE:
I continue to use this "universal" charger at home and have the OEM one at work. I have NOT had any issues with the bottom of the headset. The unit is well made and so is the N1.
Here is another "universal" charger as well. About 100 bux USD on this site but looks pretty contemporary as well. I have not used this one, but from the looks of it, the base is a cushion type base, that gives a bit to hold the devices.

the first charger dock stand thing is almost the ugliest thing i have ever seen posted on the forum, and the pic of the glass one with the PSP on it looks stupid as well..
these types of stands will wear out the micro usb port over time
my .02
Damn, a little malicious, no? LOL
For the asthetics, its ok in my book. Each his/her/it own. You can rub your
.02 up your collective tight twat and ask for change at your local KMart.
As for the wearing down of the port, it may but by the time that happens, I may be on to my next handset. Just my .02

If not for the apple accessories, I would have told you to wait until Energizer released one of those pad-charge-capable batteries for the N1.
Also, if you use the pins instead of the microUSB connector a la desktop/car dock, the phone charges RIDICULOUSLY faster. I've had data, GPS, music, etc. with my phone docked and it still went up 20% in charge during a less than 10 minute trip. I wish I could make something like that up. (It was uncomfortably warm, but definitely usable)
ok, was bummed to find out that both my car chargers didn't work with the atrix 2, so i picked up the car dock today at the at&t store for $40. i'll preface this with the fact that this dock is $99 at motorola, $59 from amazon, but only $40 from at&t.
this is probably the best accessory purchase i have ever made for any device i have ever owned, lol. seriously. it's well constructed, sticks firmly to the windshield (can also mount to dash), the dc plug has 2 ports on it, the usb cable also carries audio and has a 3.5mm jack plug, the dock can accommodate a small case, the usb plug on the dock can be removed and flipped for the 4g and it charges, lol
some pics i took of it tonight

for $40, you can't go wrong. at&t wanted $30 for one of the generic dc plug with a coiled cable things, so for $10 more and 60% less than what motorola wanted and $20 cheaper than amazon, i couldn't pass on the deal.
if you're looking for a car charger or vehicle mount solution, pick this up before at&t realizes their price point is off, lol
You think it would work with the commuter case or not?
Hmm, I almost pulled the trigger but I've already got a gps that does all of that

not sure, if you look at this pic
you can see the insert used to fit a phone without a case, if the commuter is about that thick, then it should work
I have the commuter case and it doesnt work with the hard shell but you can easily put it in there with the silicone case still on it not too much of an inconvenience only takes me about 10 secs to get off the case and put it back on.
I picked mine up today and It works with the Red speck case they sell. its a nice fit too. Im going to look at the multimedia dock and see if it also fits with the speck case.
I've asked this in another thread, so I'm sorry if I'm coming across as annoying...
Can someone who has the car dock and a multi-meter check the resistance value between the usb pins (specifically between pins 4 & 5)? I've made my own dock (I realize I could have bought the dock, but I like making things like this, and I think it turned out fairly nice) but it's still missing the audio out through the usb. I'm still working off the assumption that the car dock mode is triggered via a specific resistor value on the ID pin and the audio out is with pins 2 & 3 (pin 5 is the common ground).
Again, sorry for bringing this up again in another thread, but I still haven't gotten anyone to make the measurement yet.
Thanks!
I got tired of waiting for HTC to release their POGO pin dock, and made my own, using the info I found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611116
I bought a el-cheapo dock on ebay for about $10:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110906604719#ht_500wt_1287
And asked for a couple samples of pins from Mill-Max.com:
http://www.mill-max.com/sockets/so_...ARCH_NUMBEROFPINS=&thumbnail=810_40_001tn.gif
Worked out pretty well - the only thing is, lining up the pins to the phone was a pain in the rear. I had to hot glue them in, due to the fact that I couldn't exactly align them using what I had on hand. The phone does charge, and changes to dock mode (as you can see). It only charges at USB speeds though - it seems that the folks in XDA have yet to figure out the secret (if its even possible) to charge at AC speeds using the pins.
All in all, a pretty good and cheap project - considering that the HTC dock costs $70, and this probably cost $20 at most.

DIY for the win. Too bad I am using a ballistic case that hides the pins. I'm just too afraid of dropping my phone.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Wow, very nice. Thinking about doing this myself but maybe trying to keep the dock looking nice
Thanks - obviously this is a little rough for my first attempt. Definitely a learning experience. Due to the fact that the darn pogo pins on are on the back of the phone, you need a dock that will hold the bottom of the phone in place, which limits which docks you can use. I'm not sure if the Kidigi dock will work - it may depending on how much room there is inside of it.
The pins I got from Mill Max fit a 1/16" dremel bit exactly, however since I didn't line them up exactly, I had to oversize the holes, which is why its sloppier than I'd like. Oh well!
That is true, but I guess at the end of the day, when the phone is plugged in it still looks nice. I wonder if someone could use longer pins and be able to do it with a case that has pogo exposed.
I recently bought the "Power Case" for Galaxy S4
The product is made in China but "seems" to comply with FCC or CE requirements
This version of "Power Case" has a simple cover on it but doesn't turn On/Off the Galaxy S4 screen like the official Samsung Cover Flip does.
The protective case looks robust and you have to stretch it ton insert your mobile inside.
It also has a stand in the back.
The male micro USB position is not perfectly adjusted to the GS4 female micro USB which position is little lower.
Once retracted the case fits pretty well the GS4
The battery is 3200 mAh which is 123% the capacity of the GS4 stock battery.
Few leds indicate the remaining charge.
On/Off Power button is set on the front
No USB cable included
the price is around 30 USD or cheaper
Would rate this 7 out 10

Hi
any usage feedback ?
all the time i got a Power case for my Galaxy phones
did not get more than 50% battery usage
hope they improved
Thanks
Can u put a pic with the phone on it. Thanks.

3200 mAh of external battery means about 2000 mAh of actual capacity since these batteries loose at least 30% due to efficiency conversion through usb port. Plus 500mA of output charge will mean a very slow charging equivalent to you charging a phone from laptop usb port. For the reference, it will charge 4-5 slower than your oem 2A wall charger.
Just keep that in mind
Iam looking at a similar product
hey i think i saw this product without the flip though
looking to buy this myself
could we get more pics with the fone please ?
My local mall sells this exact case comes in same package and everything for $65 and near by fleamarket sells them for $45 feels very cheaply made but it does do its job which is charge the phone, bro picked one up for his s3 and it charges the phone from dead to about 60% before case dies
I bought the case and now I am looking for a protective case that will fit it. Any suggestions?
Might there be a docking station for the Note 4 that's usable while the phone is in a case?
Not that I'm aware of. The Note two official dock works a treat with the Note four, but regrettable not with a case.
You'll find a case-friendly dock nigh impossible to come by because if it fits in the dock with a case on chances are it wouldn't fit properly without one. And then if a company DID decide to go that route they'd have to choose WHICH case to tailor their dock for, as many case have different thicknesses. A silicone case? A metal one? A flip case? They're all profoundly different when it comes to something like a dock that needs a snug fit to work well.
Unless you're handy with woodwork/metalwork/lego you can make your own dock to charge your device with your chosen medium and a USB cord. I know there's a guy somewhere who made a sweet-ass lego one that fits his QI charging mat in.
Sorry, I know it's not the answer you wanted to hear. Hope it helps nonetheless.
I bought an RND dock that does work, but with a caveat; if you have a case, the phone is basically balancing on the USB port itself, with no other support. I guess the only way they could think of to fit any sort of case was to have a removable insert on the base, but it then means you're not supporting your phone completely. Not thrilled about that, but I was getting tired of prying my case off every night just to dock it, so this is the best solution I could find.

Which case are you using? That might help. I have the Note 2 Dock which worked w/ my Note 4, but not when it was in the UAG case.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N174JVA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The Note 4 with that case works in the Note 2 smart dock; you do have to cut the USB port cover off but then it's perfect.
There's a kidigi one that has an insert for naked phone and take it off for a reasonably thick case.
Check out the lamdba dockings (search for "docking lambda"). Can be adapted from 1-10mm in thickness of the phone and the phone is not only standing on the connector
