[Q] What can I do if I hack it? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone!
I'm a total noob when it comes to surfpads. I've hacked and installed CFW on my PSP and on my old Nintendo Wii so I'm not a total noob in regards to hacking but it was some time ago.
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10,1 and now i'm wondering what I can do with it. I've heard you can ROOT it but I don't know much more than that.
What can I do with it if I diced to "hack" it?

So Rooting means that you are getting super user privileges which are basically administrative privileges. Android by default allows the user to do only certain things to it. By getting root privileges, you have the ability to uninstall bloatware put in by the manufacturer that you usually would not be able to.

You can also flash custom firmware, backup your rom and information, theme your home screen, flash mods, and totally screw up your Note if you do something stupid...

[Q] How to Connect Gear S to LG Flex 1(AT&T)

Hello Everybody,
Disclaimer: I am an extreme noob when it comes to rooting and so forth, I performed one back in 2010 on an HTC HD2 that i used a kernel (i believe) for nexus on and turned it into an android.
Anyhow I just bought a gear s, and was able to download the gear manager on my phone the gold one (used blackmart to do so), however now I can not connect to the device because it needs to download samsung crap on it i think. I came up with two ideas which are as follow and I need assistance on recommendations.
1. root my g-flex and turn it into a note 4, I have no clue how to do this and don't know if it is possible (any help here would be greatly appreciated!).
2. get the galaxy app store on my lg flex and perhaps it will be able to download the updates for the gear s?
I am sorry that I am such a novice, but I do understand the basics to coding and everything, if i can get either of these options to work I will gladly post a video of the whole process and instructions on xda so that way others can benefit

I have 2 of them, but not a developer and have no idea how to root them. Would love to see someone more skilled than me crack the code.

I have one too, bought it for the screen size but it would be nice to root it. Looks like no developers are interested in rooting it ........guess there is not enough demand for it.

I actually just bought 2 more for my kids, they're great tablets given the price point! They primarily use them for Netflix, so while I love having root access to my hardware, many apps including Netflix don't work with root anymore and I don't have time to tinker with stuff to get around the crippling these companies do to their apps. Heck, I tried to use a whole house VPN solution recently only to have the kids screaming that their Netflix wasn't working. Seems Netflix has a problem with me securing my data and privacy too
7I too have been searching all websites forums.... And used all the tools I've heard of to no avail (vroot, iroot, kingroot, kingoroot etc... You name it).
Nothing I have used has worked and I'd be very grateful if someone would be able to root this Device.
Thank you

I give up

I've been trying to root my Kindle Fire without success for several days as well as my Galaxy 4 tablet, and it is just too much to deal with for a couple of tablets.
However, I've decided I do want a rooted tablet, something without all the bloatware and that isn't tracking every search I do or order I make to Amazon, or even an email I send to my doctor for all I know. So I 'm asking for help deciding what to buy, as you guys all know way more than I do about this stuff.
What is the best tablet to own if you want a rooted device? I'll be using it for gaming (Clash of Clans, nothing to graphic intensive) and the standard things like watching YouTube videos or maybe a movie on Netflix.
I kneel before the great android sages and ask for your guidance. What tablet would you buy if you wanted a quality device that was easy to root?
Thank you!

What are the specific model numbers of your kindle fire and galaxy tab 4?
What issues are you having in getting them rooted?

As for the Kindle Fire, nothing above Fire OS 5.1.2 can be rooted.
There are several threads about this in
